What's Happening Sunday!!
Jan must not have taken her laptop. Hope she is enjoying her vacation and having good weather. We had another rainstorm this morning. I was in Walmart and it sounded like the roof was going to cave in. The sun came out aftwards but it is very humid.
I baked Banana Bread for my nephew, definitely not a WLS friendly recipe. My niece's family moved to a new home 2 weeks ago so I'm taking them dinner. I have Pasta Pie, Grape Salad and Chocolate Ice Cream Pie....most definitely not a dessert for me. The Pasta Pie is made with whole wheat spaghetti and lean ground beef.
Hope to cook chicken on the grill this evening but with rain forecasted maybe not.
Hope all of you are having a great weekend. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jeanie and her family.

Hi Jo...
Boy oh boy did I sweat on my walk this morning no running in that kind of heat... I got out at 5:00 a.m. this morning and started pulling weeds... got all but one row of squash mounds done... will go out and do that when Paul leaves for work here in a bit. That made me walking at around 11:00 a.m. gee willikers the sun was beating down on me for sure... I had a very big water bottle that was frozen when I left and what little was left was HOT when I got back. I wanted to work in the garden this evening so I went ahead and walked nearly mid day.... won't do that too much if I can help it. If you could sweat off lbs... I should be bean pole thin! ~tee hee
All the chores were waiting for me, dishes, laundry, vac~ing....etc etc... Also worked on the signs for the flag truck this weekend. Will have those ready for the morning run. Even in all that I got two good naps... it was so nice! I hardly ever do that but I guess I needed it because I slept all night last night even though I had nearly a three hour nap. Was a big week for sure.
Mimi ~ when you read this... I'm absolutely disgusted! Do you know the deer at EVERY leaf off the hollyhock you gave me... there is one straight pole with blooms on the top and nothing else... I'm steamed about that! They are eating on my strawberries too...
I have simply stunning hydrangea bushes this year... I so wish you could see them.... after three application of chemicals I finally have beautiful HUGE blue blooms. They are definitely the best plant I have around here... the vinca in the flag pole flower bed is doing well too... I Preened them this morning. Got some more things planted too. It's all I can do to keep up with everything around here. I know you know what I mean.
My thoughts and prayers are with Jeanie Rea as she goes thru the grief process. Just don't know what I would do if it was me. My heart surely goes out to her!
Jo ~ all that food you were cooking sounds so good... I was so surprised I lost another 3 lbs. after baking 30 dozen cookies this week. You know I have NEVER been normal this whole way thru since surgery.... never lost reasonably it seems... I'm not complaining I'll take what ever I can get!
Better get my big man out the door here. Have a good evening all.
