Daily Bible Reading - Thursday - June 10th

Today’s reading was pretty interesting.  Its amazing how they built buildings back in the old testament and how long it took.  I was reading the measurements of the builds Solomon was building, if ya really think about it they weren’t all that big, well not as big as I had pictured or not as big as what is portrayed on tv anyway.  The sure must have been beautiful though, the insides all lined with cedar, some rooms of gold, bronze and silver, wow how gorgeous can those be.  Today Acts was reading back right along with the Kings today,  I like how that happens.  Some really good words of wisdom in Psalms and Proverbs.  Proverbs 16:31 “Grey hair is a crown of glory; it is gained by living a godly life".  That should make some of us with grey hair feel better lol, I love it!

The devotional is really encouraging this morning.  It doesn’t matter what we are going through, it doesn’t matter how bad things look or how rough things feel, all that matters is that we let God be in control.  The devotional is right, God is bigger then any of our problems and will see us through them to victory.  Victory may not even be in site but its there.  The pressure of the world may be weighing down our shoulders if we life God up and keep confessing that He is bigger the devil will have no choice but to get out of the way and God will take the pressure we are feeling off our shoulders and help us work through the adversity we are going through.  Wow I needed that today, thank ya Lord!  There is a song that I love its called “God is bigger" or something like that, it goes “God is bigger then all my problems bigger then all my fears, God is bigger then any mountain that I can or cannot see."  So true, God really is BIGGER then any mountain we are having to climb.

Today’s Reading

1 Kings 7:1-51
Acts 7:30-50
Psalm 128:1-6
Proverbs 16:31-33

Daily Devotional

Psalm 105:2

“…talk ye of all his wondrous works."

Through out the Book of Psalms, the various writers talked about the bigness of God.  They extolled His greatness.  They praised His goodness.  They set an example for you and me.

Anytime you are under pressure, begin to talk about Who God is and how big He is.  The put the devil in his place and remind him that God is bigger then anything he tries to bring about.

You may not “feel" like talking about God when under a lot of pressure.  But especially in times of adversity, you need to talk about the goodness and bigness of God.  As you do, you will be revived and released from the pressure.

It doesn’t matter how bleak your future looks; God is bigger.  It doesn’t matter what anybody says; God is able to bring you through.  As you follow these steps, you will feel the pressure lift.  You’ll be able to look at cir****tances with an assurance that God will see you through.

Today’s Thought: Today I confess God is bigger then any adversity I am facing and I know God will see me through to victory.

I Corinthians 15:57 - But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
