WHATS HAPPENING MONDAY

It is such a pretty day looking like so far any way lol ...am off today that might be the reason that it looks so pretty to me. I came really close to quitting last night....4 nurses on duty last night counting myself....and 3 of them went outside for a smoke break at the same time....which isn't to be done in the first place but then on top of it they were out there for 45 minutes. i was hopping mad and 2 of the aides were out there with them....when they all come traipsing back in i said there better not be another one of you go out side the rest of the night ..they tried to deny that they had been out there that long but i told them no i clocked you all because i was mad about all 3 of you going out there at the same time anyway. oh well not suppose to be a rose garden huh? lol

Grandson started summer school at OTC this morning. he has to be at school 4 days a week for the next 8 weeks...i think they are worth 5 or 6 credits and that will give him his 15 credits that he needs to be able to join the marines. sure wish he would want to go into something else beside the marines...they are always in the front of all the bad stuff. He has the grades and made great , almost perfect , on the test they take to get into the military....that he can pick what he wants to do ....he wants to be an Apache helicopter pilot . oh well i cant live his life for him and he wants the excitment.
A girl i work with is coming out today, the one that got lost the other day, we are going to meet her over at the little store in Cedar creek. At least she said she was coming out today and that she would call me this morning to let me know for sure.

the garden is really looking good this morning.both flowers and veggies , what veggies i have planted. I have so much left over from last year that i havent planted a lot of stuff this year yet. I have sweet potatoes planted, jalapeneo peppers and green beans, peas, carrots and beets. my beets are beautiful and really large in size , im picking them tomorrow and canning them into pickled beets, yummmmmy ....then will pick the carrotts and can them and the green beans and will see if i have enough jars whether to can the peas or freeze them.

My fruit trees are lookiing beautiful , they are semi dwarfs , i think they should produce next year hopefully. they have grown so much this year and looking really good. i have wire cages around them to keep the deer from munching on them. and each night i put the drip hose on one of them and when i finish then i start back at number one again. i think that is why they are growing so well.

has anyone heard anything from Jeanie?? i am still praying for her....

Jan,

Saturday morning I went and got my hair cut and forgot to tell you something I heard when I saw you Saturday night.  This guy came into the barber shop and picked up a couple bags of hair that the barbers had saved him.  I asked the barber what in the world the guy does with the hair and he told me that the guy spreads the hair around his veggie garden and flower garden to keep the deer from coming into it and eating it all up.  He said the deer smell the scent of humans and turn around and run.  The barber said he couldn't say whether it really works but I guess it makes sense.  He said they have several people come in this time of year wanting them to save hair for them lol, sounds weird but hey whatever works, right?  Thought I'd share that with ya.

I was off yesterday and am off today too.  Yesterday the girls working in the kitchen called me and wanted me to come make the rolls quick lol, they could not get the dough to come out like I make it lol I went ahead and went up and made the rolls and wrote down the way I make them lol.  I work the night shift the rest of the week taking the night shift cooks place, I really hope I can get through this week, I didnt get as much training as I would of liked,  then this coming weeked Susan and I are going toTulsa for the weekend, we'll come back on Monday morning just in time for work.  Enjoy your days off, you sure need it when working at that place lol.  Hope Lee finds her way out to ya.

Y'all have a great day,
Andy

Looks like rain and it's in the forecast.  We need it.  Friday my firm is going out to do community projects.  My group is painting the outside of a building and also lawn furniture.  Some of them are making planting boxes 8'x16' and filling them with dirt.  A load of soil is being dumped at the site.  Feel sorry for those guys.

I fixed the  most delicious round steak last night.  I browned it, then added a package of onion soup mix, 1T. of flour and let that brown.  Put the steak back in with 2 cups water and let it simmer for about an hour.  You could cut it with a fork.  I only cooked 2 potatoes so Max could have one last night and one when we had the leftovers, but it looked so good I had 2 bites of potato.  I did keep my carbs low yesterday.

Someone made a comment on a message board saying they didn't have their guts rearranged so they could diet the rest of their life.  We really do have to watch our diet.  People who are naturally thin may not write down what they eat but they do watch it.  In observing people here in the office, you have those that are ready to dive in when there's free food.  We have a lot of catered meals for meetings and always a lot of leftovers.  Usually, the ones that shouldn't be eating are the first in line.  I hear the thin ones saying it looks good but I better not.  So, whether you're thin by nature or by dieting, you still have to watch what you eat.

Good morning all, Jan I know what you mean about the smoke "breaks" , I have never been a smoker myself, but have compassion for those that have that addiction, however, it used to to make me so dang mad when i worked for the state, it seems like the majority of the staff were smokers , those people would take their lunch break..smoke, take their 2 15 min. breaks...smoke some more, then every 30 min would still have to go out for another 10 min smoke break, no wonder people think state employees don't earn their pay!! lol, i9t's amazing our clients were ever taken care of. I used to think I should just pretend to smoke so i could take all the extra breaks, even the supervisors at the time did the same thing..oh well I guess someone has to be responsible and hold the fort down so to speak, lol. Today I weighed in at 196, I just can't believe it. I guess to someone without a weight problem their whole lives that would still be alot (even to some on here ) my husband say's he would be happy if I stayed right where i'm at, and if I just mantain this I wouldn't be unhappy, but if I "miraclously" were to make 150...well I wouldn't be upset lol. I wonder what it would do to my tummy tuck,it's weird I hadn't fluctuated by more than a few lb.s the prior 6 mo's before surgery, so I thought I was done, now I've lost 7 more lb.s beyond the the t.t extra skin / fat he took off, can't really understand why, if anything I think i've been less active due to extensive healing, and eating pretty much the same...go figure, I guess when I get my breast reduction , maybe that will give me another jumpstart too...hmmmm. maybe surgery in general is the kicker, just get something  cut open every year or so and instant weight loss.. lol just kidding. Okay i've blathered on long enough, everyone have a happy day, not supposed to be so hot today...nice! . Love hugs and health, Susan

Susy, wow you are doing really well with losing again. you ask what it would do to your t.t.if you lost a lot more , you would have more skin hanging im sure.
if you never lose another ounce look how much you have lost. that is amazing.
your husband is happy with you so be happy too.
