Oh my lord I sure wish State would get in there and check us and get over it. The office staff and our DON is driving us nuts with signing this piece of paper and that piece of paper, last night i spent most all of my 8 hours of work doing paperwork, sure didnt feel like a nurse at all lol

Have to work today again and then off Friday and work Sat and Sunday....hopefully they will go ahead and come this week and get it all over with. one way or the other.

Oh man it has been so hot the last few days hasnt it? i just havent been getting out too much , except real early in the morning, I go do my walk about and see if anythings needs my touch. and do a little bit of weeding....this morning i need to pot up some flowers that go on this spiral pole. it is a neat stand that is a straight pole and you put clay pots of different sizes on there at an angle. then you feel them and plant them pretty neat idea and interesting to look at too. works well with things that cascade like petunias and vines of different kinds like purple sweet potato vines. will take a picture....both before and after it is planted. oh yeah i figured out what was wrong with my camera. It had gotten the settings messed up ....somehow. dont know how.

ive got to call and make an appointment for Joe with his back guy so they can set up an appointment for his epidural. he hasnt had one now in months and months. so is about time.. and to also get his prescriptions refilled.

Jeanie i know how that cigarette craving is especially in times of stress. I quit smoking in 94 but still if i get really stressed i want one and you know that just doesnt make any sence at all because of what cigarettes do to us isnt relax but constrict our blood veins and would only cause more stress. get some gum and chew and chew, get sugar free hard candies and suck on them ....take a straw and cut it to cigarette length and hold it between your fingers and puff on it every once in awhile lol all of this sounds silly but it really does help....Wish i could see you would give you more than your share of hugs....(((((((((((((((((Jeanie))))))))))))))) cyber hugs just arent the same are they.  We all love you and are here for you. get on and rant  and fuss all you want ok? we are all continuing to pray for your husband and will continue to do so till he gets home and well again. I hope he makes the right choice about the surgery for his heart. take care of you please. kick that old devil cigarettes and food right to the curb. eat healthy and drink lots and lots of water.that might help all the way around....will be praying for you that you make the right choices too for your life....dont give in to the old ways. I can show you a lot of people that did and they arent healthy at all ....they may be skinny but they are constantly sick , some of them quit losing and say that the surgery was a failure, no it wasnt they just didnt follow the rules. we are all here for you and your husband. so holler anytime. let us know exactly what the doctors and you all decide. If he is to be in surgery let us know when ok?

well got to get moving or it will be too hot outside to get done what i want to get done this morning, if it gets too hot on me i may have to wait till tomorrow when im off to fini**** This is the first summer since i had surgery that the heat is really bothering me again. wonder why ?

talk to you all later.    post away

Good morning everyone!!  Jan must be playing in the dirt this morning.  It's really nice out this morning and would be a good day to "play" outside if you liked that sort of thing.

Last Saturday I bought hubby a Tippins Apple Pie for $3.98.  I intended for him to eat a couple slices and freeze the rest.  I ate about half a slice but my pouch didn't like it and I shouldn't be eating it anyway.  Max ate pie and ice cream every night, finishing the pie last night.  Then he gets his honey roasted peanuts.  I told him he better be careful or he would gain back some weight.  He weighed this morning and had gained 3 lbs.  It's not nice but......I had to keep from smiling.

Jan, before surgery I wasn't much of a protein eater and I'm still not.  If it weren't for protein supplements I would never get more than about 35 or 40 grams of protein.  I loved most all fruit and veggies then but now I don't care for many veggies, especially raw, and only a few fruits.  I tried the watermelon again without salt and it tasted just awful.  I'm so disappointed. :(  The food that I've never had a problem with is Mexican.  With that, I need to be very careful.

Jeanie, so sorry about your husband.  You know you don't want to smoke again.  How about getting some sugar free hard candy?  Maybe that would help you.  Carry healthy foods in a cooler with you.  I used to be really bad about letting food control me when my hubby was sick.  I would forget all about eating healthy but that was before WLS.  Now, I know I have to take care of myself too.

Time to get busy.  Have a great day!!
