Debbie dont feel badly about dumping things here. it helps sometimes to just type it all and get it out of our heads you know, that God is taking care of you but sometimes it just helps us to look up if we have a place to dump verbally too.

Sounds like you and Jake had a great day....and the fried mushrooms sound really good.

will keep praying for your family and for Davids thoughts on this job. even if he isnt made permanate it is still a job for how ever long. and that may be better than looking. ....

it is still tough out there for people. and know lots of them that have been looking for a long long time.

dont be discouraged God loves you and is concerned about your. remember the verse about the lilies of the field and the birds that if he cares for them he will you too. ....

I grew up close to Excelsior Springs in Orrick, about 15 miles SE.

Don't every apologize for "dumping" on us.  I've done it and so have others.  It's good to be able to get it out.

I will keep you and David in my prayers.  I know jobs are hard to get.  My office has had a hiring freeze for nearly 2 years and we're really shorthanded.

I sometimes get diallusioned with prayer and wonder if God ever listens to me.  I've been praying for my son to get help for his alcoholism for 5 years and nothing has really changed until recently.  I talked to him last Sunday and he had been to a doctor and was taking meds to help him with the cravings.  He doesn't call much or answer his phone when he's going thru a period of drinking too much or trying to quit.

After I became a Stephan Minister I told myself I had to change my thinking or I wouldn't be effective.  So, I keep praying every day and hope that soon he will free of the addiction.
