WHATS HAPPENING FRIDAY
I sure am glad that im off work today....last night was the pits. Had a new admit , great one. Parnoid schitz. phrenic ...they are taking anyone now days..seems like it ayway.. then had a lady to fall and hit her head so we had to do the neuro checks every 15 minutes...and have lots of paper work with all of that, then someone else had bruises on the back of both hands...crazy night.
suppose to be another hot one today i think, i could stand for it to be more like yesterday was really.
I am getting that planter done today if it kills me lol well i hope it doesnt im not quite ready to go yet ...well yes ready to go as far as knowing my Lord and Savior but not ready in the fact that i feel like i have a lot of living to do yet.....
The week of the 13th we will be gone camping in Hatfield Ark for the Christian Motorcyclist National Rally....anyone else out there going? you dont have to belong to the club to go. It is a wonderful Christian week of camping and services and concerts and workshops and riding ....great fun and a place that kids are welcome and they have great kids services and stuff just like the grownups.
Well i just thought i had my camera fixed i guess , it will work for a little while and then it stops then it will work again and then wont. very flustrating .lol
i have already cleaned the fridge out this morning and also washed a load of clothes, now i need to put them in the dryer. thought i had better do something besides play outside today too lol

Hey Jan and All,
Well the time with my grandsons hasn't been as fun as I would like. Shayne has been running a fever for three days and coughing and loss voice and vomiting. And Gabe started yesterday with the fever. Both are fever free so far this morning. Just coughing. I guess baby Mason has the same thing at home. Don't know where they all picked it up. Hoping to still make it to my nephews b-day party today. So we can have some fun this week. Taking them home Sunday.
Not doing well on de-carbing and sugaring. Trying,but going slow. And haven't been able to do my walks with the boys like I wanted to with them being sick. Next week after they go home I am really gonna crack down.Wish I could hit onederland like the rest of yous. Would be so great. Very jealous,LOL. Maybe someday.
Gotta go get the boys some breakfast and see if they will eat today. Take care all and God Bless, Love Tammy V.

Tammy so sorry that your babies have been so sick ....that is a shame but i guess it gave their mama a rest huh , lol .
Keep on trying on the de carbing yourself...just make up your mind you WILL NOT eat anything white....nothing that has white stuff in it either....so that would eliminate breads and sweets. pasta, potatoes, ok?

Hot and humid is forecast for today and tomorrow. As long as the AC works in the house and the car, I'll be fine.
I hope to work on a quilt project this weekend. My niece's favorite flower is the Calla Lilly. I have a small wall hanging of the flower so I hope to get started on quilting that. I don't need any more clothes so I will sew on quilts for awhile.
Went to the gym again last night. Had a book I wanted to finish so I rode the bike and a half hour went by quickly. Then I walked the track for half a mile.
Did anyone watch At Home with Jillian or whatever it's called. Jillian from BL goes to a family's home for a week and helps them get their eating on track. I'm not a big fan of her, don't like her yelling, but it was pretty good. The man had RNY, didn't catch when, but he was whining that IT failed him. I wanted to smack him. He failed, not the surgery. It was digusting the amount of food he was eating and his wife too. The daughter also had RNY but she has maintained her weight loss. They did change their eating and had lost a chunk of weight in 6 months.
I bought a Hamilton Beach 2 cup blender a couple weeks ago because my Magic Bullet wasn't working very well. I don't like it much. It doesn't chop the ice completely. Wouldn't you know the box got thrown away so I can't return the it. Macy's has the Rocket which is very similar to the MB, for $19.99. Max is going to get me one today and I'll bring the HB to work so I can make shakes for lunch.
I found a great way to ripen peaches. Put them in a brown bag with an apple for a few days.

Jo. Yeah i watched the show with Jillian last week. that sort of made me mad too when he said the gastric bypass didnt work for him....i said well heck no he continued to eat like he always did. ...it worked for the daughter. ...yeah they all looked good at the daughters wedding didnt they....some people tho just really dont understand. do they think gastric bypass is a magic bullet that they can jsut eat any and everything and lose weight ? dont hardly work that way would be nice if it did. ....

I saw Jillian's show too. I say the bypass didn't fail him...he failed the bypass.
Just purchased a recumbent bike at a garage sale for $15.00. Works great. Went half mile and was sweating. LOL The heat already is getting to me on our walks and the Chihuahua isn't doing well in the heat either. Panting by the time we hit the end of our 600 feet driveway. LOL
Been really busy with disasters in our family. Nephew was thrown off his 4 wheeler and has a compression facture on T8 and cracked his shoulder blade (this is the one that wrecked his car and broke his neck and had to have surgery to repair and broke his collar bone last summer) then my MIL has been in and out of the hospital twice in the last 2 weeks. She is 90. Then my youngest GD went to turn on her ceiling fan and it broke and hit her in the bridge of her nose 2 stitches. I am ready to crawl under the covers and hide....LOL I have one more iron IV this month then I see the hemotologist. (sp) I am feeling better tho.

Beautiful day today in Springfield. It's cold in my office always but I wore long sleeves so I'm OK. I still would rather be cold than hot!!!
I really have no news. My incision is so healed - but I still have to wear the binder. I get quite a bit of swelling by the end of the day - then goes down at night and up again the next day. I think that is a usual pattern. Sure am pleased with the reaults so far. You won't really be able to tell at the group meeting next week but I guarantee there is no huge roll to grab and pull!!! I feel so much more slim which is hard for us most of the time. My clothes are still fitting but I think the binder and swelling is part of the reason for that and there isn't spillover anymore!!
I'm going to clean house this weekend. It has been let go for almost a month and I can't stand it anymore. I do cabinets (orange wax/cleaner), stainless steel appliances, dust, countertops and bathrooms and DH does vacuuming and scrubbing floors. I think I have the best deal and I cannot vacuum. There is something about that movement that kills my back in about 5 minutes.
I really don't have any more news. DGS is going to Michigan to visit his other grandparents for a few weeks and then DD will drive up there and spend a few days and bring him home. His aunt and uncle are coming to Missouri to visit uncle's parents so he'll ride up to Michigan with them. I don't know if he'll come to me this summer. He's getting so grown up and there really isn't much for him to do without his Mom or me home to play with him. I just can't keep up with him at pool or water park. I don't like swimming anyway!! Sharpei thighs are not cool.
Hope we have a decent weekend. Our yard looks good. DH has spent quite a lot of time out there and has sprayed weeds and seems to be getting ahead of them. I HATE gardening so he has to force me if he gets any help and I wander off the first chance I get.

oh wow i wouldnt know what to do without all of this skin to get hold of and pull here or there or to stuff down into jeans....i know that has to feel good. I am trying to save money so i can get some things done but seems like the more i work the more things i have to spend the money on. maybe tho they can get medicare to pay for the removal of the skin ....sure would like to have all the extra removed wouldnt you? lol could run up a pretty big bill like that i think....let me know about group.

Good Evening, Mama Jan & MO Peeps:
Boy, was it a hot day today! It was 99 degrees by the time Jake and I got home around 2:30 today. We drove to Excelsior Springs, MO. He drove there and I drove back. We found a great deal on an Eureka Tent for Jake. Plus it gave Jake and I some quality time plus gave him some experience highway driving. I even let him drive my "new" car! lol! He did a great job. We had lunch at Washburn's BBQ there in Excelsior Springs. They won some kind of award or something at the American Royal a few years ago. The food was okay...not as good as K&M BBQ in Spring Hill, KS though! Jake and I shared a meal and actually ended up bringing most of it home. Have to be honest, we shared a order of fried mushrooms and they were delicious! That's why we brought most of the BBQ home. Sorry - but it's the truth.
Please continue to pray about my husband, David's job. It's been an emotional roller coaster ride. His boss told him this week that they were going to finish building out the condos and he was continue to do what he's been doing - a 1099 laborer with no benefits. That was not what was told to him a few months ago. There's a big meeting next Tuesday or Wednesday. He's going to wait until the 15th then he's going to call the guy that hired him and ask for a personal meeting. If they are not going to "promote" him and hire him on as a regular employee then we have to start actively looking again. I did start looking tonight - it is still very depressing out there. Not many jobs out there and the ones that are there don't pay a decent wage.
Honestly, I am very discouraged. My heart breaks for my husband because I know how discouraged he is. I have been seeking the Lord's guidance for so long now. There are times when I'm not sure if I can go on. It seems like the world keeps closing in all around me and I have absolutely no control. I know the Lord has always taken care of us. I just have to keep remembering His WORD and keep myself reading His WORD even though I am discouraged!!!
Sorry to "dump" all of this on you but I really just needed to "dump" it somewhere...
