It may be Tuesday but it seems like Monday.  It is pretty out but is supposed to get 90 today with humidity.

My hubby is doing well.  Seems that the Epidural did help.  He worked outside yesterday from about 11:00 until 6:00.  He wouldn't have come in then but dinner was ready.  Those flittery things off the trees had planted themselves everywhere so he spent most of the time pulling those up.

I did get quite a few things done.  I shortened 3 pairs of pants into crop pants and altered a blouse.  Took it in 4".  I had another blouse I really liked but it was just too big to alter. I would have to take out the sleeves because it hung off the shoulder about 2".  Not worth the time to take it in.  I also altered my GD's dance costume and sewed the elastic on her ballet shoes.

Tonight I plan to go to the gym and walk in my Thera shoes 20 minutes then do the bike for 20 minutes.

Anyone watching The Bacheloret?

Jo....i never know what day it is unless i look at my computer and it tells me lol ....it is already very very hot and humid out side.
Im so glad that the epidural did your hubby some good.  oh those twirly things that fall from the the trees are from the Maple trees ...you should see my garden it is filled with them...we took the weed killer out there to them the other day and now they are all dead , was way too tiring to pull them all up...
sounds like you did lots of sewing and mending over the week end.
yes am watching the Bacheloret since there isnt anything else on. lol

Hey All,
I had company all weekend. My son and DIL were here all weekend with the boys. And of coarse the rest of the family come over to see them. So we had a cook out and card party and campfire on Saturday. And Sunday we all went up to my parents house and all got busy and did some painting on their house that they have been wanting to get done. I didn't think I should be going up and down the ladder so I did all the cooking for everyone. We had lots of fun. And Monday we just hung out here until they had to go home. I kept the two oldest boys until next weekend and then I will bring them home.Have some fun days planned for them, going to park and my nephews b-day party on Friday. Probally gonna go get a pool tomorrow for them to play in. Should be a fun week. I love having them.
I have been doing a little better on my diet. Haven't weighed myself, don't want to make myself crazy when it don't move.LOL. Need to really work on my water intake tho. That's one thing I'm really bad about. Got myself back hooked on Diet Mt Dew, I know!! I'm trying to get myself off of it.One step at a time. And the boys are keeping me up and busy so I'm not just setting around like usual. So that should help.Maybe I can get them to take a walk with me.
I hope everyone's family members are all doing better. Take care and God Bless, Love,Tammy

My journey to live life to the fullest!!!

Tammy sure sounds like you are keeping busy....take one step at a time to getting your life back on line. dont think of it as a diet but as your new way you are to eat for the rest of your life. dont think of depriving yourself...invent new treats for yourself instead of the other things. I have a hard time keeping treats for myself that i can have because given the choice my husband and grandson would rather have my stuff than theirs lol. no really because i make mine look so much better i guess. with all the sugar free whipped cream and such lol just plain sugar free jello takes on a new look...and especially in the hot days of summer. ...get your self back off that soda. it doesnt do anything for you at all and does mess us up .....the caffine in it and the carbonation is the pitts for our tummies. We are here for you so anytime....maybe you can start walking with the boys and make it a routine that you can continue afther they go home.   way to go girl....good work.

Hello OH,

Has been a crazy week. Been spending as much time with DH as possible and went up to camp on Sunday. Watched all the grandbabies and their parents swim, then went back to camp and visited for a while, it was the last night and all the undesirables had gone home.

DH is feeling a little better, but they did an echo-cardio yesterday and found a problem with his aortic valve narrowing. They don't know why, but want to do an angiogram and see if they can open it back up. They gave him some kind of med this morning, it's a one time thing that's supposed to make his kidneys kick in and start getting more of the fluids off, they can't do anything until then, so looks like he will be in the hospital at least a few more days.

It's getting tough having to drive to Springfield everyday and spend time with him and still drive deliveries, but gotta do this because we are going to have quite a co-pay when this is all said and done.

Thank-you all for the prayers and good wishes, I am sending prayers also for those on the board needing them. Need to close and get some things together, then make supper. Am a little queasy today, I ran pretty hard yesterday and found out I can tolerate the MCDonalds snack wraps for lunch, felt fine after eating one so didn't really think about the dinner I took with me, it had pasta in it and even though I didn't eat much, I had terrible pains in my abdomen and bad gas until this morning, I guess I OD'd on white flour, another lesson learned.

HUGS to all of you.

Jeanie have been thinking a lot about you and your hubby...Im glad that they are finding out what it is that is wrong with him. Am praying that they figure out all of what is wrong and get him fixed up.
Hang in there and dont run yourself too ragged...he will need you when he gets home so take it easy on yourself.

Yeah that white flour is bad bad ...dont know that your doctor told you this but mine said no white flour at all. i still dont eat it , maybe a bite or two once in a while but it just has too much carbs and too much processing.
take care and let us know how you are doing .and also how your hubby is doing ....love you.

Jan I have stayed away from white flour since I started my journey, tried to not eat any bread, even whole wheat has enough white flour sometimes, I just stayed away from it most of the time. Until day before yesterday, didn't have time to eat breakfast so stopped at Mc Donald's and got one of those breakfast burritos, didn't have a problem so when I was rushed yesterday did it again. It was the again that got me.

I took this afternoon off and am going to get my hair cut in the morning before going to the hospital. If I didn't have my C-Pap I would just sleep there. But then I would still have to drive home to feed the birds and Dapper Dan. Sorry I'm rambling I am so tired I think I've gone into "NEVER, NEVER LAND"

HUGS!!!!!

Jeanie i know what you mean....when we get rushed or hurried or trying to do so much or worried about something we sort of go on cruise control and start eating things that we wouldnt do otherwise. it isnt easy to eat right all the time all we can do is just try. and as you said lesson learned....please take care of yourself.  be sure take your vits. water and protein. .....take care sounds like you are doing more than you should but sometimes we have to dont we.   lots of hugs coming your way as well as prayers.
