WHATS HAPPENING SUNDAY

Hey im back , like the bad penny . Hopefully i have my emotions under control again, dont know why things seem to be getting to me more than they use to. wonder if it is because im getting older ????

If you didnt read on yesterdays reply to Jo's post about my daughter,  I got her a bus ticket to get out of down there....she got  was far as Dallas and cashed it in and bought one going back to San Antonio again. She didnt get cash out of it so it wasnt for the money. She said she loves him and he has promised ,,,,,yadda yadda yadda, yeah i believe that like i believe that they have to run a/c in the igloos.I told her remember i have been there , done that and know that he isnt going to change....It has been proven over and over again. wife beaters and child molesters are about in the same catagory they cant be cured. Both are a waste of humanity........Ok off the soap box.
needless to say she is back in San Antonia, we will see how long it takes before it happens again. I told her that right now she needs to find out how to get to a violence center....and when it happens again go there.  that the only way i will get her a way out of there anymore is for her to have spent several days in the violence shelter and thought about it...

Yesterday we went to my neices wedding....so simple no fancy elabrations....she wore a really pretty yellow strapless sun dress with a small boquet of white daysies ....he had on dress pants and white shirt and tie. beautiful couple. it was in the park in front of the cave. pretty background. She is a photographer and a really good one ...the girl that was taking the picrures is more or less a student of hers ....mentor maybe is a better word. she said she was really nervous takeing the pictures. sure didnt want to mess up. lol

Wow bought gas coming home yesterday , paid 2.40 for it. very unusal for gas prices to stay down during a holiday...

I have a friend and her hubby coming out today after Church ...to see my flower gardens. Wish there was more in bloom right this minute but the lillies all have big buds on them just havent popped open yet. but there are a couple that have. the bed of nothing but bright pink lilies are all open. looks really pretty that they are all open at the same time. bright in that corner.

well need to get busy and get the house straightened up and go clear out the pathways of pulled weeds lol Have a planter thing that i want to get planted this morning too. Hope i have enough things to put into it.

Spent yesterday morning with DH at the hospital, he seems to be doing better, just talked to him and they are upping the diuretic to 3 times a day, since his kidneys are looking really good, Dr. thinks he will be ready to come home Tuesday. So that is good news, they haven't done the Echo yet, I guess they were overwhelmed on Friday, one of the nurses said they may have to bring someone in to do it. Don't know why they wouldn't have a tech on duty even in the hospital, they sometimes have to do them for ER.

Went up to Pomme de Terre in the afternoon and spent the time waiting for all of the young people to get back from the swimming beach. Was really disappointed the camp out this year. Usually it is only family, whi*****ludes some of the in-laws, but there are all kinds of kids running around and some of the people that weren't family were drunk before lunch and sitting around in a circle in the middle of camp where all the kids hang around cussing and passing around a cigarette that isn't legal. I don't care if they choose to do that sort of thing but not around children. Of course some of them probably don't like me, but I kindly reminded them that their behaviour wasn't acceptable and I don't like that kind of behaviour around my grandbabies or any other kids.

Jan~It is really heartbreaking that a man can control a woman to that extent. I also know what your daughter is going through and agree that her best move would be to find a shelter and the support of women that have recently gone through the terror and all that goes with it. I am praying that she makes that choice, which only she can make. The only thing you did was try to help her get away and that is what I would have done. I wish my mother would have given me the money to leave mine when he was abusive, I was so fortunate, today am sure that God interveined and got me out of the situation long enough for him to realize that he had to sober-up or he was gong to lose his children and me.

I love Weddings that are somewhere outside whether a beautiful park or someone's large yard. What a good start to a life together.

I need to post this and finish getting ready to spend the morning with DH, I didn't realize how much I would miss him being here. The house is too quiet. I hope everybody has a super good day today. Will talk to you all later.

Jeanie, glad to hear your hubby is doing better.  I don't blame you for saying something to those people acting badly especially around children.  I can't stand to be around drunks and foul mouth people.

Hey i dont blame you about saying that you the people in the camp with you all. I probably wouldnt have said it very kind...
Im glad that your situation worked out for you and your children ....most times it doesnt. but there are those few that do , especially if the only time they are abusive is when they are drunk or high.

Good morning to all.sorry i have not been on here in two day's.the sun is out soo prety again soo far.it is calling for rain tomorrow.i hope it does not.i am off work monday and tuesday and the pool is open here where we live.

jan we are praying for your dughter.you are just being a good mom being worried about her.when do you work again?work has been busy as alawy's.dad fell again yesterday.he tried to get up out of his chair on his own.still think's he can do thing's for him self.he is ok.just like's to scare everyone.

jo hope you got a lot done in your woman cave.sure sound's like you have  a lot to do in there and our day's off of work do go way too fast.

Susan....so sorry that your dad fell again. but so glad he didnt hurt himself.  now he gets another little star on his name plate lol

Jan, don't blame yourself for your daughter's behavior.  You've tried to help her and now it's up to her.  I do the same thing though with my son who is an alcoholic.  I think what did I do wrong but it's really not my fault.  He grew up in a Christian home and there was no alcohol there.

The weather is really nice, no humidity.  Max worked outside all day and he loves it.  I am going to pull weeds out of the flower garden.  Those awful twirly thing from the trees have sprouted so I'll don my gloves an pull them out.  Just need to make sure I'm pulling them and not a plant.

Yesterday I worked in my room organizing it and plan to work out there this afternoon.  I have several pairs of pants to shorten to crop pants.

My GD came over to have me alter her dance costume.  She ran up to the door and said, "Grandma, I'm going to a sleepover so that's why I look so good today!"  It was her first sleepover.  She was wearing a denim skirt and really cute top and her sparkly bracelets.

My SD invited us over the steaks last night.  Her husband can really cook.  They were delicious and I ate most of mine. 

Jo.....you know mentally i dont blame my self for her being an alcoholic but heart wise it is hard to not think so ..She was raised just exactly like her brother and sister were and they dont drink or smoke and have never seen the inside of a jail or seen the inside of many bars. I took them to Church and bible school and sunday school all their lives. so she knows that what she does is wrong but she does it anyway. ...
Like i told Joe well i paid 200 dollars for her to take a bus ride to Dallas and to go back to where she was and all the same things. crazy wont do it again. and i told her that too.
we grilled butterfly pork chops last night. they were really really good.
