Prayers needed

Took my Husband to Cardio Dr. yesterday, didn't take him long to diagnose congestive heart failure, he was going to let him come home with a large dose of diuretics until he listened to his lungs and heart and he has some crackling in his lungs, so he insisted I take him to St. John's imediately. He is not critical and I think they caught it before too much damage was gone. Of course they will be doing echo's and other tests to see what is going on with his heart. My fear is with the regurgitating valve that this episode has done more damage. I am praying that's not the case.

Right now I should be at the hospital with him but my older son needs to borrow our car this morning to go get the parts to fix his. So this gives me time to sit around and worry. I really need some hugs right now.

I'm so sorry to hear about your husband's diagnosis. I will be lifting him and you up in my prayers this morning.  Remember, God is our Physician.  While he works thru earthly doctors, God is still in control!  I'll pray there's been no damage and they are able to do something help him.

I know this is easier said than done - but instead of using this time to sit around and worry - please pick up The Word and let Him speak to you thru it.  It truly does bring peace and clarity of mind.  At least it does me. I know in times of crisis we feel like we can't concentrate but if we ask the The Holy Spirit to help us, God will reveal Himself to us and bring us peace in the process.  Peace that passeth all understanding.

Jeanie-Rae, please keep us posted and let us know if there's anything we can do help you and your family thru this difficult time.

Love in Christ,
Debbie D.

I have battled this for years and finally was put on Coreg which has made a world of difference. I share this with you so you can have this knowledge in the back of you mind. So you can ask about it if it is not mentioned. I of course don't know if it would help your DH but I know it certainly has helped me. Also there is a generic out (Carvedilol) for it which is wonderful cause it was extremely expensive beforehand. Oh and the heat and humidity exasperates these conditions greatly.... just FYI.
You're in my prayers of course.

Our prayers are with you and your DH.  Take care of yourself too.  I know it's difficult not to worry but try to keep occupied and think positive thoughts.

Thank-you all so much for the prayers, DH seems to be doing ok, he says he is feeling better. I do know he has an appetite like it's going out of style. So I think that is a good sign. They haven't done an echo yet, expect they will probably do it today. Swelling in his legs and feet is still pretty much the same. They have put him on something to prevent clotting in the legs. Will keep him til at least Tuesday I think.

I love you all, need to take my shower and get to the hospital, it helps him that we all care enough for him to spend time there, all the kids came by yesterday and visited, that helped perk him up a little.

Hope you all have a good week-end. Talk to you later.
