Daily Bible Reading - Thursday - May 27th
The devotional once again sort of ties together today’s reading and pretty much continues where we left off yesterday. It really speaks to me anyway, I’ve had dreams for ages and had already come to the conclusion that the dreams I had weren’t going to come to pass that I guess they weren’t God’s dreams but just my own, well of course back then I knew they were God’s dreams, that’s just satans way of trying to get you to forget your dreams. Now that Im over half way or better to my goal weight and feeling like a million bucks at times the dreams I had in the past are surfacing once again and now I see God saying that they have always been alive, I just had them dormant. It’s like planting flowers, sometimes you plant the seed and you wait and wait and wait and nothing happens and you just about give up when all of a sudden there it is, the little sprout starts to appear. All your hard work of planting and taking care of the seed has finally paid off, then you watch that tiny sprout grow and get bigger and stronger until finally one day before you know it the vision you had of that seed becoming a plant has finally come to pass. I finding out its like that with our dreams and goals we have in life. Things happen, routes change, plans don’t always work out like we thought they should have, but that seed of the dream and vision that was planted is still there, it may be taking longer to come up with we thought it should, all the praying we did and believing we did hasn’t gone after all, spring is finally here and soon that dream and vision will grow and become a true reality. I get so amazed at God. Just remember, God fulfills His promises always.

II Corinthians 1:20
"For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!" And through Christ, our “Amen" (which means “Yes") ascends to God for his glory"
What is it in your life that you used to be excited about? Are there dreams that you’ve pushed down, goals that you’ve let go of? Too often, because those dreams seem to be taking a long time, or because we’ve been through some disappointments, we become complacent. It’s easy to just accept the fact that “it’s probably not going to happen for me." But just because you gave up doesn’t mean God gave up. God never aborts a dream. He always fulfills His promises! That dream He placed in your heart may be pushed down by disappointments, setbacks, failures, or rejection. But know this; the seed is still alive.
The promise is still in you. You just need to get your fire back! That dream may look like it’s dead in the ground, but really, it’s just been planted. That means it’s coming back. It’s going to flourish! Our attitude should be “This may be taking a long time, and maybe I don’t see how it could happen, but I know God already has the completion date. I’m not going to give up on my dreams. I’m not going to go through life without goals, passion, or enthusiasm. No, I’m getting my vision back because I know God fulfills His promises!
Today's thought: Thank You for Your faithfulness to me! I ask that You breathe life into every dream and desire in my heart. I trust You with the unknowns and believe that You are working all things out for my good.
