God’s promises are ye’ and amen! If we keep God’s promises alive in our heart He will see to it that they come to pass in His time. I know in my life there were plans and promises made years ago and I had actually put them on the back burner and forgotten about them until just recently when God seemed to remind me about the plans and promises He had for my life back then and has been trying to tell me they are still active today, I just have to reach out to Him. Promise I thought had actually gone away and callings that I thought would never come to pass because of one thing or another but I sit here now knowing that God always keeps His, sometimes we either forget or just plain put aside His calling but God, He don’t forget nor does He let us forget, if any of that makes sense. No matter how old we are or how long it’s been God is still on the throne and God is still in control. As the devotional says, “God is the author AND finisher of our faith." And what is faith? Faith is the substance of things hoped and the evidence of things not seen! We have so much to hope for. Proverbs 16:3 says it all, “Commit your actions to the Lord and your plans will succeed."

Hebrews 12:1-2a, NKJ
"Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith…"
Do you ever feel like there are major obstacles in your path to fulfilling your destiny? Maybe you don’t see how you could ever accomplish your dreams, or how you can get well, or how a legal situation will ever get resolved. Maybe the negative thoughts are telling you “It’s over. Just accept it. It’s never going to get any better." But my encouragement to you is that God is a faithful God! He’s called the Author and the Finisher of our faith. God will never start something that He cannot finish. That promise He put in your heart—that you’re going to be healed, that you’re coming out of debt, that your family will be restored—God has every intention of bringing those promises to pass.
When God put the dream in your heart, He already had a completion date. He can already see it done. You may not see how it can happen. It may be taking a long time. All the odds are against you. But if you’ll just keep believing, keep praying, and keep being your best, then God promises He is going to finish what He started in you!
Today's thought: Thank You for being the Author and Finisher of my faith. I choose to submit every area of my mind, will, and emotions to You. I invite You to have Your way in me and complete what You’ve started in my life.
