WHATS HAPPENING FRIDAY

i just got an email from my brother, David the one with the blood clots , The doctor sent him to the hospital , St. Johns because his blood clot in his leg has gone from ankle and calf all the way up that leg up into his groin....he was there several hours and they sent him home....he was seen by several doctors and they said they couldnt operate on him to put in a green filter, and that he was on as much comadin as his body could stand. and that there wasnt anything they could do other than wait. So they sent him home with instriuctions to keep the leg elevated any time he was sitting but to walk around the house as much as he could. I guess Obamas new health plan is now in effect. dont treat older people send them home and hope they die. I am mad and sad too. I just know im going to lose another brother over this. I dont mean to be a downer to you all this morning but i just cant think of anything else to write about. Please please keep him in your prayers for me ,,,right now at this moment i cant even pray about it. looks like there should be something they could have done ....I am trying to find something anywhere that can help him....

I have so many things going on right now that are really tearing my heart in a million directions. My daughter , Michele , just got beaten up by her boyfriend and is needing to get out of San Antonio and back home , I told her to get to a battered women shelter and then call me from there. dont know if she will or not. I cant be there to hold her hand but hopefully she can get to the shelter ...
im waiting for her call. She leads such a volitial life that it is a wonder she hasnt been really hurt before. I just have to keep her problems way on the back burner in my brain so i dont worry all the time...which i do anyway.

my family seems to be falling apart , is this a new test? there are other things going on too that would take way to long to put them all down here ,,,,would appreciate it if someone else would do this post for me for a few days till i get my head and heart on straight again .....ok?

{{{{{Jan}}}}}} so sorry about your family issues.  Seems there should be something that could be done for your brother.  We never stop worrying about our children and even more so when they are in trouble.  Hope Michelle gets to a shelter.   I sometimes get discouraged with prayer and think it just doesn't work.  I've prayed every day for 5 years for my son with the alcohol problem and yet nothing changes.  I try not to think about him but it's hard not to.

Someone will start the message for a few days.  I have another tutoring class all day tomorrow so I won't be on here until evening.

It's supposed to clear off and be 74 this afternoon.  We're having a shed built tomorrow so I hope the forecast is right.  Bet it's hot and humid but I don't care as long as it's not raining and the sun is out.

Over on the BE board we've had a thread going about constipation.....never thought I would ever discuss such a personal thing on a message board.  Someone posted you shouldn't take stool softeners if you are taking probiotics because they cancel each other out.  I had tried a chewable and a powder fiber but didn't like either one.  I bought a tasteless Benefiber and put it in my water and I can't taste it at all.  I've upped my water this week too.

I ordered some low carb waffles from Netrition.com.  Yes, I could make my own low carb waffles, but these don't need to be refrigerated.  I like this company because they only charge $4.95 for shipping no matter how much you buy.  Their prices are good too.  I also ordered Da Vinci syrup flavors I can't find around here.  BE wanted $6.99 for a package of waffles and Netrition's are $4.89.  BE's shipping is very expensive.

Hello to all.look's like it will be a pretty day today.we might get a break from the rain for one day.it sure does make the grass grow too fast.my the middle of next week in the mid 80's.maybe it will feel like summer is here.

jan we will be praying for your brother to be totally healed and for your daughter to get somewhere safe.god is bigger than all our problem's.you just worry because you are a good mom and sister.

jo sound's like your classes are keeping you busy.i agree with you one day with some nice warm air and sunshine would be nice.my kid's sure do not like to go outside when the grass is all wet.

Jan~Sorry to hear the hospital sent your brother home like that. Sometimes I think St. John's just doesn't get it. It's really bad to say I have heard nightmares about St. John's, but didn't want to believe them. Has anyone tried Cox? I am thinking about taking DH to Cox, even though it's out of our network. If one of his Dr.s doesn't figure out why he's still bloated and having so much trouble breathing. Will definitely keep your brother and your daughter in my prayers.

Jo~What is the BE board? is it part of OH? Our PCP told us to use Mira-Lax, she said we can double up on it and it's the only all natural stool softner that we can use without any ill effects. I used it this week and it has helped me. The irregularity is the only thing that I wasn't so prepared for.

Susan~I get about the kids not liking to go out when it's wet. My gracie would hold it for days if she could so she wouldn't have to go on wet grass. LOL you'd think they were human.
