I'm still here

We had a close lightning strike over the weekend and lost all computer service. Just got it back today. I'm doing great. Third day with no pain meds. Only took them three days. Don't like the groggy feeling. I feel good - only discomfort at the ends of the long horizontal incision and thats just more a burning. I know there's still swelling but I love the new belly anyway. We go back to KC tomorrow to have the drains looked at and hopefully removed. Down to about 10cc per day on each of them. I don't think they took more than 5 pounds of fat/skin if that much but I forgot to ask. I'll also try to remember to ask about the cost of arms.
I need to get off here and start some dinner - it's not been much cooking since last week.
Hugs to all and thanks for the prayers.

Wow, I am impressed!! you are doing better than I am , I had to go back in  today, i  am pretty sure I tore some of my internal upper belly stitches, the dr said it will probably heal, but I need to take it easy and keep the binder on and tight., i guess i have been overdoing it quite a bit for the amt of work he did, and now am paying for it. he told me he took of 12-14 lb.s...seemed like it was so much more .If he didn't tell you how much what he took off weighed, you probably won't be able to tell by weighing yourself for several weeks, until all the excess water is expelled. I am so glad you are doing and feeling well...glad one of us is lol. I used to think I was a tough cookie, after all 6 kids . no epidural (that seems to be the standard these day's ) and never a scream!!! but this seems to of kicked my butt lol. guess i'm getting old ha ha. ps i just saw the dr today and I STILL forgot to ask about the arms   AGAIN!!! arrrrggghhh
