Yesterday was just as bad as i had antipicated ....in fact it may have been worse. i wont aggree to work anymore day shifts i dont think.no i know i wont. i thought i was going to go stark raving mad before i got out of there. It was a wild wild day. We have this one man that is going thru drug withdrawals and it is horrible. He got himself hooked big time on pain meds. and they hospital took him off cold turkey after he came in there in a coma. that is how he wants to be he says , in a coma...yesterday he would lay in his room and scream at the top of his lungs , ring his call light constantly....He is about 355 pounds and all of his illness are from being too heavy. everything. and yet he and his wife dont want him to have wls because it is too dangerous. HA! isnt that stupid.....the things he has wrong are the dangerous things...

anyway my back and legs almost didnt hold me up ...if i had to do all of that all the time i wouldnt be able to work at all. just too much for an old person lol Leave that day shift to the youngsters....

Got home and Joe had cleaned the kitchen stove up really well and all the floors and everything.
looked shiny and clean. wow.

didnt do anything after i got home except walking around in our yard and take in all the pretty new flowers that will be blooming in a few days...and are blooming now. My lillies are all just ready to pop open ...

today my Grandson George is leaving to go to Houston for a few days to see his grandma and grandpa down there but will be back next week and then will start summer school the first part of June. forgot what date exactly but he is going to have a full schedule going 4 days all day long for 2 subjects. ...he finished his first semester with a 3.90 average not bad for a kid that quit high school cause he thought he was to dumb to get it. lol

got to go and get some things done this morning before going to work this afternoon ....looks like this is going to be the only pretty day for awhile....shaping up to be like last year again. yuck...

That is dumb to not have WLS when you have all those health issues.  Tonight on CNBC is a program about obesity.  I've made myself a not to record.  One of the comments they make in the ad is that a woman had decided to have a drastic procedure.....bariatric surgery.  Grrrrr.   I hate it when people talke about WLS like it's some horrible thing.  It gives you your life back.  I know there are exceptions but there are many, many positives about it.  Jan, you should tell them you had WLS and let them know what a success you are.

Last night I went to the gym and did the treadmill and bike.  I'm still not used to the Thera shoes.  The Zumba class is too fast paced for me.  I need one that is for beginners.

DWTS was great.....such wonderful dancing from all of them.  Kate is going to dance tonight.  I'll FF thru that.  And, Jake is to dance with Vienna.....yuk.  FF again. LOL

Susan, I haven't had any time to work in my woman cave.  Last weekend I didn't have a spare moment.  This Saturday I have another reading class.  They have assigned me a student.  She does read but wants to improve her writing skills and go to college.

Max got an epideral this morning and thinks it is helping his leg pain.  I hope he can avoid surgery.  Everytime he has surgery, he has to go off the bloodthinner and that puts him at risk for blood clots and strokes.  And....this is definitely not a good time of year for him to be disabled because of lawn care.  I have NO interest in mowing and don't want to pay someone.

Our yard is so soggy.  It needs mowing now but don't know if it will dry out enough for him to mow.  Sun came out yesterday and it's out today.  More rain forecasted for tomorrow.  Hopefully, it will pass us.

Jo i agree with you about the wls being a lifesaver for many many people ,  I showed them picture of me before...and they couldnt believe it was me.

lol i dont know if they have a slow Zumba class....you dont have to do all the things just like them just get in the back and do your own thing in time to the music. when i have been in Tex and went to the classes my sister teaches that is what i did....i did some of her steps but couldnt do it all the way the
way thru so i just made up my own stuff. but i did manage to keep going all the way thru the hour class. lol

Good evening OH,

Had a sort of long day, went to Springfield and got a short run, better than nothing. DH is feeling a little better today, so we'll see how he feels the next few days.

Jan~So sorry you had such a bad day at work. It's so hard to believe that someone that big doesn't get it. I thank God everday that I did, and really hope that people like myself with the co-morbids that can kill them any time will take that step to have the surgery or at least to lose enough weight to lose the co-morbids.

So nice of Joe to help out like that. My DH did the dishes today and cleaned out some of the clutter in the kitchen for me. Really nice to come home to that.

Susan~I'm convinced that it is a lot of what he is eating. I try to make him healthy things but he's been eating some foods like pasta and ramen noodles and I know the white flour in those things gave me problems -when I ate them. So we are taking it one day at a time and doing what the DR. tells him and we'll see from there. He goes for Labs on Thursday, then next Thursday goes to his Cardiologist.

Jo~I didn'****ch DWTS tonight because of American Idol, but I did watch last night and I think Nicole is going to win. Don't really care to see all the others come back and dance.

Lou~So glad to see you back, Thank-you for the Kudos. Feels so good to be on the "LOSER'S BENCH".

My DS just came and said he planted our tomato trees and the Brandywines for us and my okra is up, yay, love okra.

Hope everyone has a nice day tomorrow. Talk to ya later.

Day started out pretty good.  I took the trip to Dr. Hornbostel's office for my yearly follow up.  I had my bloodwork last week.  My ferritin is still low.  Margie wants me to go to the Oncologist to have my iron infusions.  Well, I had an event that sent me to the ER a few months back with extreme pain.  I have had a few more episodes but not as painful.  He scheduled me for surgery for June 18.  He wants to look around and do some repair.  He thinks I have an internal hernia.  So the rest of my day was a beautiful drive home.  I loved the weather.
