I really am wondering whats happening....has summer already gone? it is only 45 degrees here this morning. glad it wasnt any colder or my stuff that is planted and the things in bloom wouldnt be that is for sure.
Crazy weather ....on the good note it is a pretty sunshiny day so hopefully it will get up warm enough to be outside some.

Yesterday was a busy busy day sorry i didnt get on here to do the Whats happening post but Susan did an excelent job.  Thanks Susan...

Jeanie glad you are doing well and dont let those hormones get the best of you lol you can beat that.

Well the people came and saw the house , seemed very interested ....hopefully will hear from them. they have a siding, guttering business ...they ask if we would be interested in makeing a deal of any kind or were we set on our price. we told them dont be afraid to ask. never know.

Went around with a bucket and my shears yesterday afternoon cutting off all the spent iris blooms to tidy them all up...wound up with several bucketfulls was a bigger job than i thought it would be.

Planted a new bed of several perenial seeds that i have had for awhile and i hope they come up ....things like bell flowers and things like that. .

Oh Bec while i am thinking about it the two little bell flower plants you gave me are really growing and even one of them is blooming.  I planted them along with the one i had all out beside the pond. I know they have more than doubled in size...
Did your start of the perenial geranium (the purple plant at the corner ) survive? I found a couple of new plants of it over in the flower bed so i am going to dig them up and pot them in case yours didnt survive i will have one ready for you next time.
How about the hens and chicks did you find a place for them that the squirrels didnt get them ? lol

Well got to get busy my son and his wife will be down today and i need to straighten things up before they get here and myself too lol...

Where is spring?  I took the quilt off the bed last week so Max had to get up and get a blanket during the night.  He is always cold because of the Coumadin.  I turned the furnace back on.

We went to Sutherlands first thing to get knock-out roses fo $5.99.  They are small but that's ok.  We were going to eat breakfast out but I have a dental appointment at noon and the nursery we were going tofor the yuccas was way out south so we went there first.  No time for eating.  I came home and fixed me a Click with added protein so I'm good for a few hours.

Jeanie, I don't blame you for being irritated at hubby.  Mine does worry about health issues a  lot and complains about pain, but he is very helpful if I'm not feeling well, but his pain is always worse than mine.  He does a lot around the house.  Take care of yourself and don't let him upset you.

I'll be sure to take pictures of my latest garden creation.  I just love yuccas.  These were $10 for a gallon container.  I didn't get te Clematis there because they wer $25.

Jo i know what you mean we took all of our extra cover off the bed a few weeks ago and now it is cold but at least i didnt take the bed warmer off yet. i turned it on last night oh boy that felt good to crawl in on.
I know what you mean about the clematis. if you get any of any size they are simply awful in price. I can only afford them by getting the tiny ones and growing them...i have several of them but they all started as tiny little plants but now are all over the fence....i have some pictures of them that i will be putting on my facebook account today i hope....

Good Evening All..

Well "Tess" is out of Jail!   I'm so happy for her!  And she even seems to be acting back to normal too... She has not been puffing up at Paul all day.  Maybe that just might work when they get to brooding?  I just hated to see her out there in that "cell"... she was so pathetic!  We will see if she starts laying again... the eggs are down to 3 and 4 a day the past few... that's not good at all... maybe those others seen what happened to Tess and won't want the same happening to them! ~ha

Mimi ~ I'm  glad your balloon flowers are doing well I am just now getting a few blooms on mine as well.  Please save me the purple geranium... I am so upset I hate to EVEN tell you what happened to it... I'm so thoroughly disgusted with myself.  I had all the plants you gave me outside the garage and one of those nights it got real cold and I was afraid it would freeze, that's right after I got home with them... it was looking so so good and I wanted to be sure the cold didn't hurt it and put one of those tubs over it and you aren't even going to believe this... I FORGOT IT  and just took the pot off it a couple of days ago!  Needless to say it bit the dust.  And it was looking so good! I'm right sorry about it and would like another one if you can even trust me after that "me bad"  deal!

The hens and chicks look real good and are safe so far....  I'm most excited right now about the lilies! They are going to bloom BIG I think.

I hope you had a good day with your son.

Am going to go get Paul's supper put together and take a shower. I didn't get what I wanted to done outside... it was just cold... and I didn't want to be cold ~ha but I'm going to try and get it done tomorrow... before it rains... they are saying down to 37 tomorrow night....brrrrr.  I'll have to get close to Paul he will let me put my cold feet on him!  It used to be the other way around and he was snuggling up to me for my warm.  I like it better this way! ~ha

Well hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day tomorrow and enjoy your families.

Bec lol i had to laugh at you and your flower troubles ....i guess it didnt enter your mind that it stays outside all the time in the snow and ice and what have you lol. for the most part it stays green even thru all of that. ...you should see mine right now it is in it full glory , covered with blooms and as big around as a washtub. Of course i will save you the start lol...everyone has bad luck sometimes.
just dont worry about the weather with it. it is made to stay outside in all sorts of weather...it keeps coming back bigger and prettier every year.
Im glad that Tess is out of jail. i will have to remember that if one of mine gets to doing that. but so far they havent.
Im glad that the lillies are going to bloom for you and hope they all turn out to be the color i told you they were lol ....never know with plants until they bloom.  but if not i will be sure and save you some of that color.
