Well you would think after almost 4 years of living with the new pouch that i would have learned by now wouldnt you? We worked and worked all day yesterday after eating some breakfast tacos that i made around 9am, at 2 i started getting shakey and sick feeling because i had forgetten to eat anything else. goofy...Joe ran in and made me a protein shake and i began to feel better after that but i was really shaky the rest of the day. finally just gave up and went to bed.

We are really trying to get the rental house spruced up as we have some people coming to look at it to buy tomorrow. Sure hope they decide to buy it...we really need to get it off our hands. it is just going to go downhill from sitting before long and we will have to keep pouring money in it to keep it from getting bad. We cleaned up around the front porch area yesterday. and intend to build a flower bed on the side today....just a small one about a foot wide and will throw some marigold seeds in there of course they wont be up by tomorrow but will look cute anyway i think. need to finish weeding the flower bed out in front of it today.

Joe has to finish his job of clean up behind the shed today too.

not sure what else we will be doing today ....just what ever needs to be done i guess. lol we can always find something.

Jeanie so glad you are home and doing well. you are going to love the feeling you have of losing weight and feeling good.

Jan, you need to take better care of yourself.  I have to watch grazing.  It's so easy to eat a little this and that and it goes down with no problem.  I'm tracking my food and using WW's point system along with being careful to get in 80-100 grams of protein.  That seems to be the easiest for me.  Writing everything down helps me to see where I am during the day.  If I have to write it down I sometimes change my mind about eating something.

Yes, I'm sure it seems really strange to you that I would mow and that I had never been in the shed.  I had to bite my tongue to not tell Max the shed is a diaster and he needs to keep it neater.  It's a metal shed and ready to fall in.  We're having a wooden shed built maybe this weekend.  I like everything organized and in it's place but he's bad about not putting things back where he got them.  He isn't that way with his clothes so that's good.  He always picks up after himself in the house.  The shed and yard are his territory so I need to keep quiet.

One area of the yard I had never paid attention to really needs help.  He planted grass but it didn't come up so there's just a few sprouts of grass here and there.  I'm thinking about what can be put there that will look nice.  We're already spent way too much money for plants and flowers but I do like the yard to look nice.  This area might have to wait until fall when bushes and thins go on sale.  As you can see I'm more of a yard supervisor rather than a gardener.

Susan, I hope your brother follow thru.  Poor guy.  It's so sad that he has suffered so much due to health problems.

Yesterday I went to the dinner theatre with Max's social group from church.  The play starred John Davidson and was okay but not great.  The first act was a little boring and I was thinking I wished I had gone to work.  The second act was much better.  In my old life I looked forward to the meal but not any more.  I tend to eat too much although I left a lot of food.  I took a spoonful of the few things I thought I wanted but I get full so quickly.  They served Carrot Mousse and everyone raved about it.  It was okay but I was afraid it had too much sugar in it so I had just a few bites.  I had a few bites of brisket, ham and chicken.  Some of those people piled up their plates like they thought food was going to be rationed.  That's something I never did because I was always self conscious about people thinking no wonder I was fat eating all that food.

Our weather has been great this week.....cool in the morning and evening and about 70 during the day and no humidity.  Wi**** would be like this all the time.

Howdy All....

Well it's a beautiful day out there... got my flag pole all planted last night... it takes lots of plants to make it real full like I like it... but hopefully it will stay nice all summer.

Yes Susan... I have lots of things planted, onions, red potatoes, zucchini, yellow squash, green beans, cukes, snow peas, corn, beets, tomatoes and strawberries... my berries are setting on nicely now.  Also of coarse planted the blackberries... I am waiting for the sweet potato slips to come in and still have peppers to plant as well.  Then I think that will be it for this year... oh yea I'm going to plant 4 grape plants on the big arbor I have and hope they do good... they are not on sale this week but hopefully they will be next week.  I have two arbors I'm going to rework this evening and I have lots of pots to wash and plant as well... always something.

Well, more drama in the barn yard...  "Tess" Paul's fav pet decided that she was going to set too.  We noticed she would not have anything to do with Paul and then after a few days she went to setting so Paul did some research and found out if you put them in a cage by themselves, made of wire and up off the ground for about three days, with food and water in it they might just quit brooding... so as of yesterday Tess is in Jail!  I was over there giving her a treat last night and Paul was getting ready to go to work... he came over to the tree where the cage is hanging and she puffed up the minute he walked over... she did not want him there! ~too funny  She was not doing that with me?  Well Paul told her, "it was her own fault she was in Jail". ~tee hee  She will be in there the rest of today and then tomorrow... hopefully when she gets out on Saturday she will be over her brooding stage?  I feel sorry for her.  She seems to like me coming over to see her... I'm going to take her out a hot dog here soon and see if she will eat it... she is eating her food in the dish so I guess she is alright... I just feel sorry for her.  Always something in that barn yard for sure.

Paul has been working hard setting the posts for his barn.  He comes in plumb tuckered.  I like to go out and watch him... he's on a mission! ~ha

Mimi ~ hope you get your rental sold.  Know you will be glad not to have the up keep on it.

Jo ~wish I could say I'm not interested in food anymore or that good things do not bother me... not the case for sure.... my head still says I WANT IT ALL!

Susan ~ I'm praying for your brother as well.  I hope he finds what will work for him... it must be just miserable to live with all the problems he has, and I know you have been concerned for him for a long time.  Can't wait to see your new glasses... I know you will look simply stunning in them!   I sure like my contacts. They are a little work and a little expensive but I love not having to wear glasses!

Susie ~ what will you do with yourself when school is out?  Oh yeah that push mower! ~ha  I don't mind pushing in the front but I don't like to push the hill in the back it hurts my back.  I'd much rather mess with my flowers and such. ~ha

Jeanie ~ I hope you are feeling well and healing just real fast!

I put my swimming suit on yesterday and EGADS! NOT GOOD!   I will have to get a new one... the one I have Sugar gave me and I don't even begin to fill out the top of it... oh sooo sooo sooo sad!  I don't really want to buy a new one only to have to get yet another one... Paul's sister gave us one but it does not have enough of a skirt on it for me to be anywhere near comfortable in it.  It's kind of hard to find ones with nice skirts on them any more.  Anyone seen any this year?

Wanted to tell you all of a fairly decent protein shake I mixed up... I used one scoop of ON French Vanilla Protein Powder, in one cup of water, skim milk is better but I did not want the extra calories and then one straw of Crystal Light "Natural Citrus Splash", I put in a couple of packets of Splenda... then I added lots of ice and shook it up in my shaker bottle.  It kind of taste like an Orange Julius.  Only 130 calories made with water and 24 grams of protein. With a cup of skim milk it's 30 grams of protein and 210 calories.  It seems to be working for me right now.

It's nice to see a few new folks posting.

Well it's back outside for me I only get about one project done a day it seems.  The sun feels so good!

Have a good evening all,

Bec

Jantzen makes some with skirts. I found one . Its a two piece but covers more than most one piece suits. I found it at the PX on base and it was only 40.00. I know it sounds high but its a good one with coverage. I needed a skirt to my knees but had to settle for the short one since they stopped making the long swimsuits eighty years ago.
I went shopping today, bad move. I keep finding all these cute things. I buy too much. I know I do but  I keep doing it. I found a new top in my closet thats too big now. Never wore it because I forgot I had it. It was in the jungle I call my closet. I am beginning to think shopping might be my addiction. I have to go thru and get rid of some of it or I won't be able to find anything.

Susie maybe we ought to try to bring back the old gibson girl bathing suits lol ....dont think we would have a really big market for them but i bet there would be a good market for a more decent one....was going to tell Bec too there is a web site and i cant think of what that if you go to google and type in longer style womens bathing suits .,..you will find it. they have some with longer shorts etc.

Well Susie as long as you can afford your new addiction i guess it is ok. if any of those things that you have never wore are mediums or 10s send them my way lol \

Bec:::: bathing suits yuck lol i saw one i thought might work the other day in K mart but when i tried it on the shorts were  way too short. ...i guess i will just have to wear bike shorts and a top ....cant stand how they look on me. oh well i go swimming such a little amount that it doesnt bother me too much...if i had a pool i would go every day but im not much of a swimmer anyway and the lake gets too deep too quick for me....i like my feet on the bottom lol . and i like to see the bottom.

Your flag pole sounds really pretty....do you have it in red , white and blue again?
i planted some vinca down the side of the side walk on the north side of the house the other day....
You know those bushes i have over there that have the red berries on them? underneath them are lots and lots of little tiny ones. Im going to dig a bunch of them up and pot them and see if i can get them up to a good size .....

your hens are funny arent they? i thought only hens that had a rooster around wanted to sit. none of mine have that i have noticed ....maybe mine arent the motherly kind lol
