Made it home

Hi everybody,

Got home today, am feeling good. There were times in the hospital I really questioned my choice to do this, but once I got home a took some good pain meds the questions went by the way. Don't know why they use morphine in hospital for pain, they gave me hydrocodone at home and there is actually no pain. Have been passing some of the gas and am walking.

My DD stayed with me the whole time and was a real Godsend. She had to go back to KC tonight though. DIL is coming over for a while to help DH out with chores.

My older DS planted our tomatoes and some other stuff so our garden is started. This has been a wonderful week. I was given a beautiful orchid, I love them and have always wanted to try taking care of one, so now I get my chance. Gonna look on the internet and see how to care for one. Will try to take a picture of it and post here.

Well going to make this short, Love you all and I felt the prayers and all the hugs being sent to me. Have a good day.

  Jeanie Rae -

Welcome to the "losers" bench!  We've all been busy polishing it for you!  Glad to see you're officially a "loser"!

I think we all have that moment, at one time or another, when we question what we have done to ourselves.
Thankfully, most of us end up being happy that we had it done!  Glad to hear you're not experiencing much pain either!

Please take it easy and follow Dr. H's orders!  Can't wait to see the picture of your orchid.  I have a "black" thumb.  My Dad who has a "green" thumb is always telling me that you have to grow a "green" thumb.  I always tell him I'm doing good to take care of my hubby, boys and our poodles!  lol!
Although, I did make an annual trip to a local nursery today and got two huge hanging baskets of flowers as well as some flowers to put in my 2 containers that are on my front porch.  I'll be doing good if I can keep them alive thru the summer!

Gotta scoot.  Hope you have a speedy and uneventful recovery!

Welcome home. I know you are glad its over. Your life will just keep getting better and better and changing daily. I know I questioned myself for the first week or two but  I am so glad I did it and wouldn't change it for anything. Just take the vitamins and sip sip sip.

Jeanie so glad you are home and feeling realitively good.  you may have another or two moments of buyers remorse but the fun of losing weight usually overrides all of it. It is just a matter of learning a new way of life...and learning to take care of yourself.
Like i didnt today. I get outside working and forget to feed myself like today and had a low blood sugar episode. dont feel too well but have to realize that and take care of yourself. even if you dont feel like eating. at least make a protein shake....

so glad that you are home...look forward to seeing you on the 14th. love and hugs to you sweetie

Welcome home Jeannie! We are glad to have you in our special group. You always have a special spot here. Just take it one day at a time and be very patient for the next 3 months. Buyers remorse is most often to come during that time frame.

Glad to hear you are doing well.  I had serious buyer's remorse the first few days.  I had severe nausua and was thinkin being fat wasn't so bad, but once that was over I've never had any regrets.

Sounds like you have some good caretakers.  Let them help you and you take it easy.
