15 month update
Hi everyone. Its been a while since I checked in. I live in Raytown near the chiefs stadium. I had my revision from the VBG to the DS on 01/29/09. Today 5/3/10 I weigh 202 lbs. I cannot believe I am only 3 lbs away from one-derville.
I weighed 354 on the day of surgery. I have lost 152 lbs. I am overcome with joy re: my DS and I am very grateful. However, I have been very down mentally because I lost my beloved dog GEO of 10 1/2 years, suddenly 2 weeks ago. Pics of him are in my profile I am grate ful that he passed quickly and I did not have to make a decision to put him down. It has really hit me hard and I have an appointment to see someone tomorrow. I think there may be other things going on with me and this just kinda nudged me over the edge. Say a little prayer for me if you have time. Its funny I always thought if I could just lose the weight the world would become right. I guess its a lot more complicated than that. Peace Mz jojo

Jo Jo...
I am so sorry to hear you lost your "GEO" we have had our Tito for 14 years and it's going to be simply terrible when he's gone! I feel for you and hope you find the help you need to deal with that and any other issues that you need help with. I will be praying you find just what you need.
I can relate to the world just not becoming "right " because you lost the weight. We still have to deal with "life"... so glad I have "Help" and will pray you find it too.
Blessings to you!

JOJO so happy for you that you are back among us and that you are losing weight again...how wonderful that you were able to get the revision. but seems that with our joy there is always some rain that must fall and yours is losing your precious GEO....i know it has to hurt they become like our babies in every way after awhile. We have an older dog too that we have thought about how hard it will be when we lose him.
If you are having real problems then getting help is good. and it is good that you realize there may be other things there that are causeing the extra grief.
I hope you find the peace you are looking for dear.... dont know where you are with the Lord but he is where i turn to with all my problems........im not meaning to insult you or upset you more im just saying what is my rock....
I will say a prayer for you , for sure and i will make time to do it... You will be on my mind and in my prayers until i hear from you again.

From another Jo, congratulations on your weight loss. Life is much better than before I lost weight, but some of life's problems are still there. So sorry about your dog. We lost a dog almost 4 years ago and he was only 4. He aspirated some food into his lungs. I still miss the little guy. We got another dog about 4 days later. I know another dog can't replace the one you lost, but it might help you.
We will pray for you and hope the person you are seeing tomorrow can help you get back to your old self.
