WHATS HAPPENING FRIDAY

OH wow did i ever have it at work last night. got a new patient in and it was bad....they will have to transfer him to another facility i dont think we are equipt to handle him. He is violent , i got hit , kicked , spit on and cussed at  so did the aide. and the nurse coming on the next shift tried to give him his meds that i coudnt get him to take and he slapped them out of her hand all over the floor and front of the desk....just a bad bad night.

I dont work today but then work Saturday and then off for several days again. wont have many days on that next week. oh well.

Hopefully it doesnt rain today, im going to weed the very front iris bed. it is really bad....that bed is going to have to be thinned out after they quit blooming. I wish any of you that love iris would come down and look at some of mine...i have really got some beautiful ones...i have one up front that is really ruffled and is pink and lavender. I have a black one right next to that. i have several ones that have the broken colors in them ....if you dont know what that is. google  broken colored iris. ....they are really pretty.

my weigela is blooming now too. and the spirea is getting ready to bloom too. the lady banks rose is still in bloom and is so pretty covering the top of the pagoda.
so many of my elephant ears didnt make it thru the winter but i do have about four big mounds of them ....with several stems coming up ....I will did them up this fall and will have lots of bulbs again to transplant around. just didnt have some of them covered up enough with all the snow and cold we had. they will make it thru the winter in the ground just fine if you cover them with a deep layer of straw. i guess this past winter was so cold that six inches deep of straw wasnt enough. and some of it got blown off them ....next winter i will put something around them to hold the straw on top of them...
Got my white arch way ready for my red mandeville (sp) one on each side. it was so pretty last year. wish you could leave them outside all winter.
My bougenville has really grown this past winter in the green house. I think i need to put it in a bigger pot so it will grow more....it is a yellow color not bright but pretty neverthe less.

I got several areas of zinnias planted yesterday....i got them scattered hopping that it will rain and plant them for me lol
want Joe to get my marigold areas ready for me i ask him too yesterday when i went to work but i bet he didnt do it ....when im gone most all he does is sleep. lol guess i work the poor guy too much. I just need to hire me some yard boys that will do all the hard work that i cant do .well all of it that i cant get too...I can do most of it but sometimes i need some help getting it all done.

I started yesterday digging up the white double daffodills i have ....there are thousands , maybe even hundreds of thousands lol ...i have a lot of them in my day lillies and they are crowding them out so i need to move them so the daylillies can have some room to grow and bloom....probably will need to thin out the daylillies this year too. i have a lot of places that i can keep spreading them out to so i can make some more beds and the less Joe has to mow lol ...

I have been putting lots of my extra left over straw into my bog garden it is sinking so i need to add lots of something to it to hold it up....need to add some heavy clay to keep it from draining the water too quickl....lots of work and never get done i dont guess.

hope everyone gets rain that wants some and those that dont want any i hope you are as dry as a bone. ....however dry that is. ??

Jan what can I put on my flower bed to stop the weeds but that won't hurt the bulbs- that is the ones that the armadillo hasn't eaten. I cannot keep up with the weeds. Some have deep roots that go past the mulch layer. I am about ready to give up.

If I had a wind turbine generator today I could power a city. I would have to find a way to afford one if I thought I would live here the rest of my life. I do not plan on that because the land is too much to handle. Being on top of a hill has its pluses and minuses.

Susie  the only thing i know of is Preen.....you have to weed it all first and then put this all over it really really thick....then water it in or if you can time it right get it down right before it rains....it wont keep them all out but will keep most of them out and what does come up will be easier to pull too.  but you have to get all of them pulled first. doesnt matter if you dont get all the roots this will help keep them from growing and it doesnt harm the roots.

You have a beautiful view where you are. how are your mimosa trees doing???

SUSAN::: lol i saw Andy last night as he had been down to see your dad before he left i guess.
Yeah wasnt that horrible about Glenn and Julie? and the bad thing is that she had let the house insurance go and not paid it so that she could pay off their house....so no insurance to cover all of their loss. that is horrible. I know they are just sick to death of it.

Hope i do get to play outside some today , it looks cloudy but so far hasnt started raining or anything and it was suppose to by midnight last night.

TGIF!!  It is raining today and probably tomorrow.  Max got most everything planted yesterday and worked until dark.  The rest of the plants he put under the table on the deck and covered them because severe storm were forecasted with hail.  Thanks goodness it didn't happen.  The wind was just awful yesterday.

Max is feeling so good but his BP is too high.  The doctor took him off one of the BP meds and put him on another so yesterday he doubled the dosage.  He saw the chiropractor for the Neuropathy and he thinks he can help Max.  The doctor wants to do 12 visits and see how he is.  Insurance pays all but $20 and Medicare should pay that.  If it helps it will be worth it.

I was trying to let my hair grow out but it was looking so bad I got it cut last night.  I went to someone new and she did a great job.  Didn't scalp me.  The Nioxin has done wonders for my hair.  It looks much thicker now.  She recommended a deep conditioning treatment once a week and of course just happen to have the product in the shop.

Kohl's has dresses on sale for $15 so I'm going to get a couple.  The managing partner even complimented me yesterday saying how nice I looked.  It did make me wonder what he thinks of my wardrobe.  I try to dress professionally.  In my old life I was particular about what I wore but I didn't wear dresses much because my caboose was too big.  Well, my whole body was too big.

I'm going to take Zumba classes instead of Jazzercise.  Zumba is offered at the gym where I have a membership so there's no extra charge and it's about 5 minutes from home.  Since I'm driving to work I get hom in time to get there at 6:00 pm.  Jazzercise is in Independence so about 20 minutes over there.  My friend said she wanted to do it too but I know she would'nt ever get around to it and if she did would quit.

Tomorrow we will go out for breakfast and the rest of the day I intend to sew.

Jo i hope you enjoy your flower garden that Max is planting for you...I know he is delighted that you are enjoying his hobby with him...I know that when Joe helps me or says how pretty something is it makes me really happy.

My hair right now is such a mess. I just havent had the time to get it cut ...I will only go to this one girl anymore since i found her. She herself has natural curley hair and knows what it is like and she is great about cutting curley hair. It has always looked the best when she cuts it.

My sister in Houston , Tx teaches Zumba she teaches i think 7 classes a week...she is about the size of nothing. not an ounce of fat anywhere on her body. You will love them i think , they are fast paced but a lot of fun with fun funky music ....latin sounds.

I hope you get to do lots of sewing this week end.

Good evening OH,

Well here I am, down to three nights and two days til my new life begins. I am excited and yes a little scared, but will be so glad when the surgery is done and I am healing.

I check in at 8 a.m. Monday morning, and I think surgery will start at 9. Went to WM and got new undies and pretty pink slippers. Going to get my overnight bags cleaned up and packed tomorrow. Also got my chewable vits and biotin for the hair loss and my nails, will have to crush them cause they didn't have any chewables. Had trouble finding my iron in a liquid or chewable so may have to cru**** also.

We had a slow day again today and really appreciated it.

Jan~I love iris and if we can, I want to come down some day next week and see yours. I might put a bid on some of the ones you are going to give away. DS tilled our garden today and it looks so good. We are going to get our plants this week, see if we can get them in the ground. I will of course supervise the planting. LOL, I think one of the boys will have to come and dig the holes for us and maybe do the planting.

OMG, I can't imagine what you must have felt like being attacked like that. I sure don't know if I could do the job you do.

DH sleeps a lot when I'm gone too. Don't understand how he does it. I can only sleep a few minutes during the day time usually 15 or 30 at the most, but he can lay down and sleep all day.

Susie~How are you doing?

Susan~We had a black ****er, she was a very petite little thing and every bit the lady. We have her son now, he was my youngest boys dog and his wife was afraid he would bite their little boy so we brought him out here. He's and outdoors dog and is very happy, cause he can run all over the place out in the country.

Jo~I tried to let my hair grow but it got so heavy had to take it off.

Well I'm ready to go to bed, will talk to you all later. Sure hope everyone has a good week end.

Jeanie wow it is getting close isnt it.? 2 days and a wake up.....yippee.  It is normal to be scared so dont worry about that. Im sure you will be just fine. You have a good doctor....a lot of people have used him and i dont think he has had any blunders....

You are welcome to come and look at the iris anytime but doubt if next week you will want to ride this far to see them...but if you do and lots of people feel good right off the bat , you are more than welcome. you can get directions right to my door on mapquest or google either one.

do you have some protein that you like and will be ok? a lot of people say their taste changed so much that the protein that they have before surgery doesnt taste good after but i have used the same one for before and to this day and i have never noticed a difference. just make sure it is a good 100%whey protein. I am praying for you and will pray for you.....You have my phone number and your husband knows he is to call me after your surgery so i can report it to everyone that you are fine , doesnt he????...i had a list of who Joe was to call after i had surgery and wrote them all down with the phone numbers and put it in his wallet. lol
Be sure and take some gas x strips with you to the hospital....if gas pain**** you you will love those things for sure.  and you can use more than 1 at a time....but getting up and walking is one of the best deffences against those pains.
You have done so great with losing weight before your surgery ,,,just to warn you that you might weight more after surgery than you do right now...dont worry it is mostly air that they pump into your abdomen so they can see things and move around in there. as you get rid of that and the excess fluid from the ivs you will get back down to your weight now....then you will start seeing the miracle.

Hope your garden gets in before your surgery. take it easy.
