WHATS HAPPENING TUESDAY

Yesterday was payday and i cleared more than i thought i would and guess what?? I finally got my electric bill all paid up ...now will just owe what the bill will be at the end of this month. lol when you get electric bills that are more than half a months pay it is a little hard.  I dont know what we will do for next winter but it sure isnt to run that expensive heat pump for our heat.

Jeanie i didnt see you on the end of our yesterdays post untill this morning. I went to bed sort of early for me. about 9:30 and so i didnt see you there.  So happy that you made it thru the first full day of liquids only....does that make your surgery date seem nearer? just a week away....oh boy....dont be nervous but if you werent i would wonder about you. after all it is surgery. and im sure that as dilligent as you have been about your diet that your liver is shrinking so he will be able to do it laproscopicly
Just know that we are here.really we are.
We got rid of our satalite tv the other day. bought a funny looking antena to put up looks like a square box and we get all the local channels. the only thing i really miss is the fact that i cant record something or pause it and wait when someone calls or something like that . or stop and replay but oh well it is summer time and we don****ch a lot of tv when it is really warm. we are outside working untill later and have supper later and then lots of times we sit out on the back porch and watch the stars and listen to the frogs lol sounds very exciting huh?
I know that has to hurt that your family doesnt communitate with you ....just know that your OH family loves you and we care about you.

Well so far this morning the wind isnt blowing too much. if the sun shines maybe it wont be too cold for me to get outside and get some more weeds pulled up out of things. Ive got several more beds to go on getting them all clear. Need more preen tho. dont mind working and cleaning beds out if i have enough Preen to keep the weeds out for the next 3 or 4 months.

Oh wow guys ive got some new iris blooming that are just beautiful ....do you all have a facebook page? if so i am going to put some more pictures on there today hopefully ....it sure seems like it  takes an effort to do anymore....Picaso changed their program (supposedly for the better) to download and it is confusing to me right now. anytime these things change stuff it affects my feeble mind lol ...i guess the older i get the less i want things to change...oh my i really sound old with that statement lol

Bec i planted those morning glory seeds in peat pots and hopefully they will come up , but so far nothing. Morning glories do better planted directly in the ground but i wanted to make sure that i knew which ones they were so i planted them in the peat pots and that way i can transplant them without  disturbing their roots. guess i will plant some of them on the arbor over the walkway by the back pond but have to go get more hog panels to be able to plant more of them if they come up ....cross your fingers that they do. The morning glories we are talking about are dark red doubles...never have seen them before...and the package says they are hertiage seeds which means they are an old variety that hasnt been altered in some way or other.

My brother is still in the hospital they have found that he has several clots in several veins and his blood has thinned a little but still not enough. So keep praying for him guys. I really appreciate it. He is the twin brother of my sister who lives in Houston. Is so sad that the boys in our family are all sickly ...big healthy looking men but sickly. My brother that was killed in a car wreck a few years ago spent half of his time in the hospital ...the last 10 years of his life. , the brother that lives in Gainsville has uncontrolable high blood pressure and has had several knee surgeries. and has severe back problems...and the brother in the hospital now is a severe diabetic, with multiple back problems. i mean lots he has only one disc in his back that isnt bad and his spine has always been crooked since birth but it is even more so now and now the blood clots. and his eyes are getting really really bad...I think and told him that a lot if not all of this except the back is related to him not getting any thing done about his diabetis when he first knew he had it. i kept telling him that he needed to get it under control but he kept letting it go until he was just so bad he couldnt any more. Oh well we can only inform the people we love we cant control.

Boy im not sure i want to be around my guys too much today....i cooked a crock pot full of pinto beans and lots and lots of ham yesterday and made a big pan of cornbread....they ate all but a small bowl of them . I ask them if they were hungry. and they said yeah for some homecooked food. I worked so much last week that they didnt get much in the way of home cooking lol they for the most part had sandwiches every night for supper ....lazy men...there was stuff for them to cook but they just didnt.
Dont know what i will fix tonight ...i didnt buy groceries yesterday ...i think i have hamburger meat in the freezer and maybe some pork chops not sure. but out of potatoes and they both think they have to have potatoes or rice ....hmmmmm Will think of something. or else go groc shopping. man i hate doing that any more. seems like everywhere you turn there are people wanting to take your money lol
well going to get off here and get this posted .....what do you all have planned for today....

Susan, I'm planning on sewing Saturday.  I do love being able to shop in the misses dept. but the prices are outrageous.  I always think about what it would cost for me to make.  A lot of times I can buy something cheaper than making it.  I bought a dress at Kohl's for $21.99.

I'm going to look at WM for some summer pants.

Well good luck in only being cold for another year. It has almost been four years and i still freeze...I very seldom get really warm enough unless it is past 85 outside and really sunny....

 OH

Going to get my hair cut so will make this short, and come back this evening and report on the hair cut. I like my hair short, but they don't always do what I want then next time I go I just put it off til I can't stand the long hair anymore.

I like going to our local beauty college, and they are supervised so usually do good work.

Jan~It's so awesome how our men appreciate a simple home cooked meal like beans with ham and cornbread. My kids grew up on beans and what ever else I had to cook with them. They still come directly to my fridge when they come over. If they know there are beans or stew they will eat as much as they can before the leave. LOL.

Made it through first day just fine and working on day two. Did get super dieters tea at our grocery store and had my first glass last night. Noticed I am getting rid of a lot more gas today, was getting a mildly bloated feeling. Not so bad I needed to do gas-x yet. Am feeling better everyday. And am sure that the surgery is going to be good. Have such a possitive feeling about the whole journey.

Well everyone have a good day. Am taking today off and spending some time doing the me thing.

Love you all

Jeanie, we want a picture of you with your hair do.  I just wouldn't trust the beauty school people.  Since 1975 I've worn my hair very short, cut over the ears.  I think I did that thinking it made me look thinner but really I looked like a peeled onion.  When I was wearing wigs, they were longer and fuller and I got so many compliments.  So, I'm trying to let my hair grow out and hopefully get the look of the style of one of the wigs.

I've sworn off the peeled onion look.

Jeanie let me know if you like your hair cut....I have found only one person that i really like the way she cuts my hair and she charges a lot but it is worth it really. Everyone else wants to make this extra curly hair do what they want it to do and it wont....It only does what it wants to. and that is it....I can make it do other things as long as i stay in the house and sit still lol but if i go outside and the slightest bit of wind blows there it goes doing its own thing. and if they dont know how to cut curley hair it can be a mess.
So proud of you and the completion of day one now on day two. good luck ...i know you can do it. only only 6 more days and you are on the losing side. YIPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEE

Still very cool but I guess it will warm up eventually.

Would you believe......my kitchen walls are painted!!!  I told Max if the painting didn't get done this week I would take a day off and do it myself.  It's looks great.  Now the ceiling really looks bad.  The former owner painted it with cheap paint and it looks gray.  The painter is supposed to be there Monday, the 3rd.  There is a small gap between the top of the cabinets and the ceiling and he will caulk that.  He painted the cabinets so if he messes up he will have to fix it.  He is a great painter so I know he will do a good job.  Getting him there to actually work has been the problem.

Jan, the ham and beans sounds good.  I always fix cornbread too.  In my old life, we would eat a pan of cornbread except for maybe one piece.  Now, I eat maybe half a piece.  I know....it's carby but I do enjoy a bite or two.  Max loves my cooking and is always very complimentary even after nearly 18 years.  His first wife didn't cook or if she did it was out of a can.  She served spaghetti out of a can.  Yuck.  Maybe it's good but I've never eaten it.

Tonight we're having Italian sausage with whole wheat pasta.  I can only eat about 1/4 cup of pasta.  Max does a lot around the house but cooking isn't one of them.  If I'm home he will wait around hoping I will fix lunch.  Sundays I do fix lunch but any other time I'm off I only fix dinner.  Occasionally, I will make breakfast.

I tried the Kirkland green tea and didn't like it at all.  A snack shop in my building had it so glad I tried it before buying a case at Costco.  Bec, I found your tea on amazon.com and ebay but it's pricey.  There's a health food store in Raytown that is supposed to have it so I will stop in there.

Any DWTS watchers?  I really like Niecy but her black wrap was way too tight and too short.  She isn't built to wear such a garment.  Her "girls" are showing way too much.  Tonight I think the bottom 2 will be Niecy and Jake.  Jake is getting a little too ****y.

We would be totally lost without our sattelite.  Max watches a lot of sports and I watch QVC (too much sometimes), HGTV, Lifetime and Hallmark.  It's really our entertainment.  We haven't been to a movie since 2002.  I do read a lot.

Jan, put the pork chops in a pan and season with salt, pepper and garlic and bake for about 40 minutes at 375.  I did that Sunday and they were delicious.

Jo :::: that is how i cook my pork chops too. they are really good and tender that way....
Yes i watch DWTS and im like you Niecy pushes those girls up to totally new and outragious heights dont she? I think Pamala will be the next to go....she isnt that popular and has been in the bottom two for a couple of weeks.
We thought we would be lost without the sattelite but hasnt been bad. It is our entertainment too but most of the time what we watch is on the local channels ...i do love HGTV but after a while it is all repeats. over and over. ...
Hope you find your tea and like it.

Boy was it cold this morning. I still have my electric blanket on the bed and I have used it. I did manage to cut some grass today but I had to wear a coat. I bet that looked funny.
Jeanie have you had carb withdrawal headaches? That was the worst for me but I survived and you sound like you are doing great.
Hope its warmer tomorrow.

Susie
