WHATS HAPPENING MONDAY???
Brrrrrr did it become winter again? good grief. if everything wasnt green outside i would swear it was later November or something. I sure hope it doesnt get too cold and freeze my pretty iris...I have some beautiful ones starting to open....I have an orange one ...that is about to open....My bed of old fashioned , white, purples , yellows and blues are getting really full of color. if it warms up some i will be taking some pictures today ....Someone said guess you could cover stuff up ......i dont think that would be possible. too much...would have borrow everyones sheets that i know to cover all of this. . If it doesnt get any colder than what they say it will get it will be ok. .they are saying down to 39 or 40 tonight and that will be ok....things will survive. may sort of shock some stuff but it will be ok.
Have to go pick up my check today and go give it to the electric company , hopefully will get me all caught up with them...this past winter elect bills have been outrageous. Would have paid for a nice cruise...lol no joke would have. Dont intend to have that next winter if we can help it...somehow will eliminate those outrageous high ones.
Also today is a nurses meeting ...i knew there would be one after State left....its at 2:30.....and i have to take this nurse at work some more eggs. I ask her if they were living off them....lol ...
Well guess i will do some work in the house this morning , as bad as i hate to , it really needs it. sure wish i could hire a maid....if i ever win the lottery that is one thing i would spend money on is a housekeeper, that would clean and cook ...the two things i dislike more than anything else. ....
lol ....did you all see that guy in Marshfield or Mansfield that won the big Power ball lottery. old country boy....said he would catch up on the electric bills lol i can sure understand that ....
I would have said and they wont be able to rob me anymore ...cause i sure would go solar in some way or the other.
well got to get busy need to do some laundry , sweep and mop and dust the dust is an never ending thing for sure....
what does your new week hold for you....
Jeanie if you get down this way this week holler and come on down to my house....would love to show you around.

Thanks for the green tea suggestions yesterday. I'll look for them. Bec, the one you have sounds really good. I love the gingerbread tea that's out at Christmas and just found it recently at Hy-Vee so maybe Walmart still has the one you have. Today I started drinking hot tea rather than coffee. I have to add creamer and a couple of packets of Splenda. I do use sugar free creamer but I use way too much Splenda every day. Atkins says use only 3 packets a day.
I checked my BP yesterday and it was fine. Checked it again this morning and it was normal. I don't add salt to anything and really don't care for salty foods. I definitely drink sufficien****er. It was probably the caffeine that made it go up Friday. This dark gloomy weather is stressing me out and there's not a darn thing I can do about it. So maybe I was suffering from lack of sun...LOL.
Shannon, Hobby Lobby has Simplicity patterns for $.99 this week. Jo Ann's may have them cheap too. I think Walmart always has patterns half price but that's still pretty pricey. I remember when patterns were $.25. No way will I pay full price for a pattern. I have a lot of Stretch & Sew patterns from years back.
I need to get busy sewing. My woman cave has been too cold so Max brought the heater back in. I need to sew in the evening rather than sit on my fat rump and watch TV. The price of slacks is outrageous. Even on sale they were $30.
Jeanie, I hope your family sees your comments on Facebook and responds to you. Family issues can cause us so much hearache. Focus on yourself and your upcoming surgery. I know you will be a success.

Not alot going on with me today except regular ole routine stuffs. I did hand wash the dress I want to wear for my nephews wedding... it was given to me and had several stains on it looked like she spilled something on it and it splattered .... I think it all came out (Oxi~Clean does wonders!) and I have it all fresh and smelling so nice with the fabric softener.... I love fabric softener! Good smells can just lift a persons spirits! Now I will just have to finish the job of getting into it...oh dear! ~ha It is a size 12 and I can get into it but it's not pretty. So hopefully by the 1st weekend in June I will feel more comfortable in how I look in it... the over jacket is just fine. The style is a slender long dress and if it were not for the over jacket I wouldn't EVEN consider putting it on THIS bod! No matter how much I lose! I have way too many bumps even with (the proper term) "shape wear" on for a long straight style.
I think about every thing is up in my garden now... corn, beans, cukes... I sure hope we don't get a hard freeze now or I will be replanting... and we all know that is a great possibility. Mimi I don't have enough to cover all I have either and I don't' have near as much as you do.
Say do you know that "Master Gardner" I talked to on Saturday told me that all root stimulator was was 1/4 strength regular granular fertilizer dissolved in water! She said she NEVER bought root stimulator as it was WAY more expensive! She always makes her own... now go figure... wish I had known that long time ago.... would of saved me a good chunk of change.
Only a peek of sun once this morning I seen... so guess I will go on ahead and just go get my walk over with cold and all.... I know I'm griping... this cold just gets old as so many of you know.... I can only drink so much hot liquid... I've been striving very very hard for over a week now to drink 100 oz of liquid and I've done it all the days but one... it just makes me nauseated most of the time. Wish I could drink like I did before surgery.
Jo ~ the tea is Celestial Seasonings I know they made the one you mentioned too so maybe you can still find it. But I'm still willing to send you some and part of the package if you want....just let me know.
Well better get on with my day... still have lots of chores I could do if I can stay motivated.
Blessings to all,
Bec
Oh wow water makes you nauseated? if i dont get enough in im nauseated all the time...
have you added anything extra to you exercise routine to help lose weight.....a friend of mine that is a personal trainer wanted to know what weight , weights you are using.....said a woman shouldnt be using more than 3 pounds and should be doing fast reps. several different kinds ...but not heavy weights at all....or all it does is add muscle and doesnt help with losing pounds...
does that make sence ????
i know you will make you ....maybe you could go online and see what they say on there....

Mimi... I started with 3 lb weights and now use 5 lb... I never intend to go higher than that as I do have plenty enough muscle in my arms and neck area... I do 6 different moves 50 reps a piece totaling 300 reps a day and I do do them pretty fast. Sounds like I am doing what she suggests except for I use the 5 instead of 3 lb weights. I also do 100 crunches a day on my exercise ball... it's the ONLY way I can do any kind of set up type activity... because of my back... and then of coarse I still do my walking or running too. Walking mostly for the past week or so.
I will take a look online when I get time and see what most say is a good routine?
About the dress...yes I can always wear something else...if nothing else I have a nice white blouse with pearls on it and black slacks since I am the cake cutter that would be appropriate... but I'm pretty confident that I will be there if things keep going the way they are... I guess I can only hope huh? It's kind of a forgiving dress if you will but definitely NOT for right now! I still have about 6 weeks so we will see?
Thanks for the info...
Bec
that was a neat idea about the root stimulator....i sure hadnt thought of that for sure. ...pretty neat.

A trainer (at the college I think?) told AJ that 8 lbs would be all a woman would want to do? I'm quite sure that was a man though...~ha Guess I'm in the middle of the road on that one...just by luck or ignorance I think ~ha
The "Gardner" also told me to put a cup of lime in the soil when planting lilac bushes. I thought that was interesting too. By the time I was done with the two hours I had a whole handful of little strips of paper I kept tearing off her pad making notes. Finally we just laughed and she told me to come out and see her place when I get the chance and she would be glad to tell me anything I wanted to know. You would probably LOVE her place she has 350 different varieties of iris's or tulips...she said not 350 plants 350 varieties! Can you even imagine?!?! She was going to be having an open house and sale in May of some of her plants.
She seemed to know an abundance of knowledge about every single question I asked her ... but then my knowledge is embarrassing... she must have thought, that poor girl! ~tee hee But like you, seemed so willing to help anyone that wanted to learn.
Well hope to see some sunshine today and tomorrow and then they are calling for rain again thru the weekend... ugh.. that means.... cold!
Bec
