Oh my last night was a bugger....at work.....State was still there , dont know what all is going on but they were there until about 5 and they will be back on Tuesday....whats with that? doesnt sound good to me at all. i have never worked anywhere that they came back the next week....so dont know what is going on. I do know that the last time they were there they found a lot of things but i thought it had all been taken care of. ...mostly paper work. not patient care really....will just have to wait and see i guess....some of the stuff they can find to peck at is like really stupid things....and i have know places to be closed for nothing but when the news gets hold of it you would think the place has been starving the patients or beating them or something and is nothing ....i could go on and on about some of the rules that state has that make no sense what so ever in a day to day operation.  sometimes it is like if you follow all of their rules and write everything they want you to write then you wont have the time to do the care that is needed ...oh well we will see what they results are on tuesday and wouldnt you know it im working too.
Granddaughter Kim is coming down today with the two babies , Brendan and Mikaela...so i get to play today. lol Have to go to the resale barn to see if there is a coffee pot over there like i want.

Today is free day at the dump too....so Joe needs to gather up all the junk around here. that we cant use and keep thinking we might use one day and take it up there. We have some old windows that came out of the rental house that we thought we might make a sort of mini greenhouse out of but i can see that isnt going to happen so will have him to take them off plus behind the shed there is some junk that has gotten piled up there. ...i bet we have a good load.

It never has rained here yet....they dont have it in the forecast for down here now , just cloudy today but no rain....so guess i will need to star****ering this morning.....
did any of you all get decent rain? I was hoping we would get a good rain to get rid of all of this pollen that is in the air. everything is green....hopefuly all the trees have just about leafed out now even the last of them like the persimmons have their leaves too....

So many of my Iris have big buds on them and starting down in the base...so they should be blooming about the right time....i have a couple of really new neat ones that i cant wait to see. I hope they are as pretty in person as they were in the picture. i planted them in a special place by them selves so i would know them.
I wish when i planted all my iris i had put a name tag on them ....lol no way of knowing what the name of them is now tho. there is so much almost likes that it would be almost impossible to find out the names of all of them now.
When Joe goes into haul off the junk im going to have him to go on into Holister and go buy me some  hog panels so i can make some more arch ways. I have to have at least 3 more  and 5 would be great but will settle for 2 right now lol....they make great archways....a good sturdy thing for vines to grow on. like my Hardy fig vine and my hardy passion flower vine. then i need more for the morning glory vines....
well all depends on the price lol ....
got to get busy .....talk to you all later. Post away...let us know what you have planned for today

It's chilly this morning and the furnace came on.  Very unusual for April.  We usually have the AC on by now.  It is sunny and supposed to warm up.

We went to Bob Evans last night and had their new wraps.  I had the Chicken Salad and it was delicious.  Instead of fries I ordered a salad.  I hate half the wrap and brought other half home for today, but I eneded up eating it later last night.  It's probably very high calorie since it was so good and sounded healthy.  I don't want to know the stats.  It's not something I'm going to eat often.

Jan, I know you will enjoy the little ones.  I'm going to play with a 5 and 7 year old this afternoon.  I'm taking some sugar cookie dough to make cookies for them to decorate.  They are always excited about what I've brought them.  Their mom doesn't let them have much candy or junk food so when I bring treats it really is a treat.  Their parents struggle with weight and don't want the kids to be overweight.  I know some would say I shouldn't bring them candy but it's only one item for each one.

We rethought the moving and decided to stay put.  We've put a lot of money in this place and want to enjoy it.  You can have vandalism anywhere.  Some of the nicest area around her have had problems with car windows being shot out, mail boxes destroyed, etc.  We are going to get a new wooden shed right away and it will have a lock.  I'm wondering if it was a neighbor with a barking dog.  We have 3 dogs that bark for hours.  Last summer it was so bad.  I couldn't have the windows open or sit on the deck and enjoy myself.  A couple weeks ago I turned them in to the city.  Last weekend, the dogs were barking like crazy and Max yelled at them.  One of the owners took his dog in.  So, I'm wondering if it was revenge for Max yelling at the dog.  I'm hoping the city didn't tell them who turned them in.

I better get off here and get some cleaning done before I head out.  I need to go to Jo Ann's for some sewing supplies.

Have a great Saturday!!

Oh Boy I'm Excited!  I went in to town early today (sale 7 to 11) so as to get mulch for $1.99 a bag and they had run out but they gave me cedar mulch for the same price... cedar last much longer here... I saved 50% so I got 20 bags instead of the 10 I was going to get of the cypress... but that was not the REAL deal...  I have been wanting thornless blackberries for simply years and Paul had seen the roots for 3.50 a piece on craigslist... the cheapest we had seen them anywhere... well... I got 10 really nice size bushes in gallon pots for 3.20 each!!! a real steal for around here!!! Oh I hope they do good and produce... I LOVE BLACKBERRIES ... now I know this is a real NO~NO but someday I am going to try blackberry dumplings... just one time to see if they are as good as I've heard they were... I've never had them I guess my greats used to make them but I don't remember that.  It will be a while before I do that.

I also got a few canna bulbs and some vinca.... I have much planting to do again... mulching etc. etc. etc....I need to make a list as I have so much to do that I know I will forget if I don't really concentrate.

The neighbor lady called me yesterday and told me to come down and get very very rich dirt that she had from where she used to feed about 3 years ago... that sweet lady at 72 had dug the dirt for me!!!  NO WAY!  So I told her to keep that for herself and got my shovel and dug my own... I was just so pleased that I could get 3 mineral tubs full and not even bat an eye... I NEVER could of done that before surgery not even close... I have noticed that this year I can just work and work and work out side so much more than I've ever been able too!  It's simply wonderful!  All those weights I have done this past winter is working for me now.

Paul got a new battery for my Gator and is installing it now... he took the cables it came with off and put on regular car battery cables so he could get me a real good battery and not one of those lawn mower batteries... I should be good to go... it had been turning over slowly... and that just wouldn't do... I have places to go for Pete's sake... so now I have an 8 year battery for a whopping $118... egads!!!  That's my Paul though... if a two year battery is good then 8 is all the better! ~ha  The nice thing about this is it is interchangeable with my puddle jumper (RAV 4).

I'm trying to drink 100 oz of water everyday and it is driving me nuts!  I don't like water anymore since surgery and it's like choking it down...but I will do it!! I will do it! I will do it!

I guess on Monday I will be planting the blackberry bushes and the lilac bush that Mimi gave me.  I will have to fill 3 more mineral tubs for my peppers, I am going to plant yellow, red and green bells.  I want to make zucchini relish, lots of salsa, and cinnamon cucumbers... my Crystal just loves those... I am going to try some with Splenda too.

Golly it's already 2:00 o'clock and I have not exercised yet today I guess I better get on that.  It has been simply wonderful out these past evenings.  I have been using my Gazelle quite a bit for a change.  Boy I sure don't hurt near as bad when I use it as when I run... it is so much less impact on the joints.

Mimi~ can you ever have enough trellises? Naw .... it will be fun to see if the new Morning Glory seeds you got do well?  I have looked around here and can't find them... no one seems to carry them.

It will be fun to see too if the iris you gave me blooms this year?  Also I can't wait to see the passion vine bloom.  Well heck the lily's too?  So much to look at and admire of what God gave us to enjoy... so far I do not have but a couple of blooms on my strawberry plants that's discouraging since the neighbor lady's is simply loaded hope mine are just behind and go ahead and get some on them... but my vines are much bigger than hers???  I have two new clematis to plant... they are roots... I hope they come up and make big nice beautiful plants like some I've seen.

Hope you all get out and enjoy this wonderful weather.

Got back from the beach last night. I tagged along with DH on a business trip to East N C  I did walk out on the beach but it was about 60 and cloudy with a strong sea breeze. No way I could even think about a bathing suit. Did enjoy the break though. I had some great seafood also.

We had a good group at the support meeting today. 8 total, Not to bad for a brand new group. I think we will grow even more. There are quite a few of us around here.

It has been a beautiful day but when I am out very long I still get cold. I hope that means I can handle the summer heat better. I am really not much smaller than last summer so I wonder. I think I just need 75 degrees year round. The only place I know I can get that is inside.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and the liquid diets are going well. It won't last long. Two weeks out of a lifetime is nothing. Just take it one day at a time.

Hey there OH,

Was a quiet day until my olders son came home with a broken windshield, he hit a buzzard on his way home, usually they take off and get out of the way,but this one didn't move so fast and went right into his windshield, of cours mother came out and first thing I wanted to know is are you hurt? He looked at like do I look hurt. Oh well that's what you put up with when you come to the house after having an accident like that.

Have been very good about the food yesterday and today and starting to feel like I can do this. Will take one day at a time and do what I can to keep busy. DH has been put on a low sodium and reduced calorie diet so I will be able to help him and maybe we can work together to get our health back in good shape.

Jan~Looked at your pictures on FB, man your yard almost looks like paradise. We have to come down now and see it in person. We haven't had any rain either, probably will rain next week, supposed to get the rest of the tilling done and mulch tilled into the garden then DH is gonna try to get our tomatoes out the week after that. We want cucumbers and peppers and okra, is we get that much planted and they do good, I'm gonna start canning again.

Susan~I know how to spoil all of the Grandbabies, what's really fun is when they come to my house they all go straight for the kitchen and want to eat. I really love when their parents say we just fed them. I can make anything, even just peanut butter and soda crackers and they hover like starving birds.

Some of the kids were at their other parents for Easter so we are doing an Easter Egg hunt and BBQ tomorrow. Gonna be fun.

Bec~I think you and Jan are trying to out Garden each other. It's a good thing to do, I am planning on trying to do a little bit myself, maybe we can start and OH Gardening club. Who Knows.

Susie~I love the beach, am a California girl and grew up going to the beach with my family, had picnics and spent the day in the water. What a nice way to spen a few days just walking on the beach and enjoying it.

Well I'm watching the Cards and Mets, in the 16th and no score don't usually watch games on TV, but they are interrupting Cops and AMW. Gonna post and probaby go to bed, Talk to ya all later
