Boy I wish they handed out land as freely are they are in Joshua,  well its not quite that simple in Joshua but the Lord sure is having the land divided up in all kinds of allotments.  In Luke we read the story of the rich man, I sat here and read it a few times and was thinking about all the rich people in the world, those that have millions upon millions and even billions.  I was watching the news the other night and they had on about a young golfer and how much he is worth today, over $2 billion.  Does he know Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior?  Do any of the wealthy? Or is it more like the bible says, that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle then for the rich to enter the kingdom of God?  I know money makes some do crazy things, sure makes ya wonder.  But then I might not be wealthy in money but I sure feel wealthy, don’t you?  The devotional spoke a lot to me also.  Moving on to the next chapter of our lives, ya know sometimes that’s so hard to do but in the long run when we are going through things and having difficulties its so much better to move on to the next chapter, you’d be surprised what God has waiting in store for us when we do, its really amazing how God works, its always up to us to take that first step, when we do though its always worth it.

Today’s Reading

Joshua 15:1-63
Luke 18:18-43
Psalm 86:1-17
Proverbs 13:9-10

Daily Devotional

Psalm 139:16
"You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in Your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed"

Did you know that God has already recorded every part of your life from the beginning to the end? He knows every disappointment, every loss, every challenge; and the good news is that your story ends in victory! God has written out a plan to bless and prosper you. Your final chapter concludes with you fulfilling your God-given destiny. Here’s the key: when you go through a disappointment, when you go through a loss, don’t stop on that page in your life. You’ve got to decide to keep moving forward. There’s another chapter in front of you, but you’ve got to be willing to take the next step.

Sometimes, we get so focused on what didn’t work out that we stay stuck, reliving the disappointment. If that’s you, recognize that you’ve been on that page long enough. It’s time to let it go and turn the page to the new chapter God has in store. You may not understand, it may not have been fair, but remember, the next chapter is full of blessing, full of favor, and full of victory! Make the decision to let go of the old so you can move forward into the abundant life God has in store for you!

Today's thought: Thank You for the good plan You have for me. Today, I lay aside the disappointments of the past knowing that You have blessing in store for my future.

I Corinthians 15:57 - But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
