Are they still predicting rain? sure doesnt look like it here this morning. everything is so bright and beautiful....
Looked out the window this morning and my lady banks rose is starting to bloom oh wow it almost covers the top of the pagoda now so it should really be pretty this year just wi**** bloomed longer
or again...it just blooms one time and that is is last for about 2 weeks if nothing happens to it like a late frost or something.
posted some pictures on Facebook yesterday since so many had ask for them ....if you have a facebook page you can see them on my profile if you want to ....theyare of the yard right now or rather a few days ago. it is ever changeing almost daily..
Almost all the iris are getting buds on them and the early purple ones , the old fashioned ones are already in full bloom...
If it doesnt rain today i will need to water my garden and some of the flowers i guess. cant believe it has been so long since it rained already , wonder what it is going to do this summer??
If it doesnt rain at least an inch in a week then on Sundays i water....the only thing i water more than once a week is my pots of flowers...they dry out almost daily and especially if it is windy....
my back yard at night time is so cute i have these little solar lights i bought at wal mart for 3 dollars apiece all along the pathways....want to get more of them to do more of the pathways....would love to have enough to do down the driveway ....Joe said it would look like a run way from the sky and might get a plane to land .
the air is heavy this morning and the smell of the jasmine on the back arbor is flooding the kitchen with the smell ....ummmm what a great smell.  Have you ever smelled Jasmine in the early morning or late at night it is heavenly.

well there are some things i need to do this morning and then i have to go to work tonight....I hope State is gone when i get there. I hate working when they are there. makes me nervous.

what you got planned for today??

Beautiful day today! Getting my house in order and making sure I have all that I need for post-op, the countdown is on...4 more days left of the pre-op life.
Trying to figure out how to reassure my 14 y/o that I will be okay, she lost her father this past fall and is reeling with the thought that I could die. Now thi combined with normal teenage hormones... Makes for some really crazy moments in the house...
Happy to be alive!!!

We had rain overnight and more this morning but it wasn't a hard rain.  The dogs don't like to go out in the rain.  They love snow.

Our shed was vandalized night before last.  It's a metal shed and doesn't lock.  We were going to replace it as soon as funds are available.  They dumped everything off the shelves and also dumped bags of soil and some bags of leaves.  It was a big mess.  Max spent all afternoon cleaning it up.  He is ready to move but you can have this sort of thing anywhere.  I was hoping to stay there another year or 2 to enjoy the upgrades we've made.  I'm not going to rush into anything.  The idea of moving is overwhelming.
Tomorrow I'm going to watch my niece's children while they go house hunting.  They sold their house and don't have a new one picked out.  The kids are well behaved so I enjoy being with them.  I always taken them treats so tomorrow I'm going to take a package of Pillsbury cookie dough, let them bake them and decorate them.  That should keep them busy for awhile.

I have tracked my food the last 3 days and I was surprised that I'm not overeating at all.  My calories are around 1,100, carbs about 60.  I haven't weighed all week.  For awhile I was weighing every day.  My friend and I are going to join a Jazzersize class.  I love to dance so that should be fun.  Maybe that will get some pounds moving.  I feel like my eating is really ok.  I tried SF ice cream again last night but my pouch just doesn't like ice cream.

Max is feeling better or he was until he cleaned up the shed.  His legs are bothering him today.

Sounds like you are doing really well with your eating and staying on track with the calories and carbs. good job ....

Ah well, a little about me... I am an RN, and 40(it's gonna be the best year of my life), and I have a 14 y/o daughter I completely spoil. I have a husband who supports me but for cir****tances involving his kid we are neighbors rather than live together... Odd I know but we make it work. I have been heavy since about 1993, around the time I took my first serious job that consumed me and I stopped playing ball and taking care of myself. I lived in denial of the weight for years until I could no longer hide it with clothing, then I just chose to ignore it. Well for the past 5 years I can't ignore it anymore, my back and legs hurt, I have sleep apnea and I just can't do much because of fatigue and embarrassment at breathing hard and sweating. I have become somewhat of a loner focusing on stuff with my kid. I am looking forward to gaining back my life after surgery. But I would be lying if I said I wasn't scared. Anyway, that is me in a nutshell.

Razzmuffin your weight problems sound like so many of us....it isnt any fun to look back and see what and whys of all of it i know but in doing so we sometimes can get a glimps of why we got that way.
Now the married life sounds a little different but what ever has to be done ....you all know what works for you.
I too am a nurse but an LPN and i sure am a lot older than 40 , sure wish i was 40 again ....that would be totally wonderfu.
You will do great and when the weight starts coming off you will be amazed about how well you feel.

Good afternoon everyone! I am having a quiet Friday in the office. None of the ministerial staff works on Fridays and the other secretary is off on a couple of days vacation.
We have been so overly busy these last couple of weeks, my head is spinning. My husband is working every night either supervising ball games or having open shop sessions to complete his career ladder hours (he is a high school shop teacher). Jordan (16) is working out every morning at 6am, going to school all day and then has golf practice every night till around 7. He has had three golf matches this week to boot so he is totally exhausted and there is a youth retreat at church all weekend so he will be busy with that. Jenna (13) Is playing softball so she has practice every evening from 5-6:30 and games on Saturday. They are also both in band and are having spring concerts. Tonight, I get off work at 3. Run home fix some supper for kids and grandma (MIL lives with us /alzheimers). Run Jenna to practice. Jordan will get her after practice and drive her to the retreat. I will have to run and pick her up (we live 20 miles from church) and bring her home around midnight because she has math contest and softball tomorrow morning; then I will run her back to church to finish the retreat!!!! I'm overwhelmed! You can add a bake sale to prepare for on Sunday and the plate is overflowing!!!!
I had a few sickly days earlier this week but am feeling much better now! I am ready to move to real food but find I am scared to try them. Today I got a bean burrito at Taco Bell and nibbled on the insides. Tasted good....hope it stays put!
Have a wonderful weekend all!!!
