i have really gotten use to this not working or at least not working for someone else lol i work all the time but dont get paid for it but the results are the payment i have....i thought i would really be sore this morning after mowing all of the yard like i did. wish i had put my ped. on so i could have seen how far i walked...might be surprised , it felt like ten miles lol
the lawn looks really pretty right after it is mowed doesnt it? shame it has to grow so fast.

today so far looks like it is going to be another beautiful day. maybe some rain Friday and Sat....the ground is starting to get dry so i guess we can use it ....today we are going to burn all the leaves and limbs that we have piled in the burn spot while they are still dry.

then i think we will STOP  and go for a trike ride this afternoon....Bec arent you jealous. I want to ride down to Mtn Home...that is always a pretty ride. ....i want to ride over to Muskogee before the azaleas loose all their blooms , usually that is the whole month of April  but they said this year it will carry over to the first week of May cause they got about a weeks late start.
The 2nd and 3rd of May is the Spring Festival at Bakerscreek....outside of Marshfield....it is a heirtage seed and plant show with all sorts of other things there.....lots of fun , if you have never been and you like flowers and gardens you would love it. .....will get you all the web site if you are interested.

well got to get busy and get all the trash gathered up and taken to the curb....have to throw my fairly new (less than a year ) coffee pot out , the burner quit on it.
Im going to get me one of the on the top of the stove percolators and quit having these elect ones. this makes 5 in less than 5 years. they just dont last....i clean them regularly too. so it isnt that. they just dont make the things like they use to.  Anyone have an old fashioned on they want to get rid of ? Any way that is my search for today.....will check out the resale shop here in Cedarcreek on Sat if havent found one by then.

Have a wonderful and beautiful day. get out and get some sun and enjoy this wonderful day the Lord has made.

Jan, sounds like you have really bad luck with coffee pots.  We have a Keurig and love it.  It has K-cups and you make a fresh cup every time.  We're not big coffee drinkers although I drink more now than before surgery.

Yesterday I did much better on curbing the carbs although keeping them below 60 isn't going to happen.  I had oatmeal this morning and that has 26 carbs.  Lunch is deli roast beef and cheese.  My afternoon snack will be Fage with fresh blackberries.  I don't want to obsess about eating.  I did that for years, always thinking about food, what had I eaten, what was I going to eat, how many exchanges, points, etc., did I have left.  I'd like to eat healthy and not think about food so much.

Max saw his PC yesterday and he changed some of the meds.  Took him off one BP med and replaced it with another one.  Made some other changes too hoping that will solve some of his problems.  The neurologist wants him to have another sleep test.

I got a call from an outfit in Branson where we had paid about $250 for a 4 day trip there back in 2003.  I had forgotten about it.  We would have 4 days and 3 nights, a $30 coupon for a restaurang anf $50 for entertainment plus something else I can't remember.  We're thinking about doing it but it has to be done in May.  Since lodging is already paid for we could afford to go to a show or two.  We could come by and visit you going down or coming back.

The weather has been great except for the wind.  I tried sitting in the park at lunch yesterday but the wind was so bad I couldn't take it.

that would be fantastic Jo and if you cordinate it with our support group you can meet a lot of people that you talk to and dont know lol the support group in May is the 14th so hopefully that would work out .....would love to meet you and Max....lots of husbands come to the support group too. Joe always goes with me , and Sugar my sister , her husband Rick usually comes unless he is on call, and some of the others come too. ....so he wouldnt feel out of place.  Hopefully Jeannie will be able to be at the meeting on the 14th she will be 11 days out of surgery so she should be able to ...
The wind down here has been awesome too. stirs up allergies big time but i take an allergy pill every morning and still sneeze a lot. ..
as long as you are trying to lose weight you have to be concerned about calories, carbs etc etc....once you get to where you want to be then comes the eating healthy and just knowing not to eat certain things. ....

Jo,
I know what you mean about always thinking about what you are eating. I know that mindful eating is the secret to staying on track and really the only way I can do it without obsessing on carbs, calories, points, etc is to just not really have sweets/treats in the house. Thankfully, DH likes it that way so it works best for us and if we really want a treat we stop at Starbucks and have a coffee and cookie or something and only eat one instead of the whole package as we would if we had more available at home.
I can't be at the meeting in May - will be two days post plastics - but it is an awesome group.
Hugs,
Lana
