New Here
Hi I am new here and I have just started the process of WLS with the St. Johns hospital in Springfield and Dr. Edwards. I have been to the seminar and now am having my information mailed and faxed to the office. I guess I am just wanting to meet people who have had surgery with the same Dr. and to meet new friends to help the journey.
welcome welcome welcome glad to have you on board....come often and get to know us....I hope we can be of some help....i know that Dr. Edwards has his own support group but if you live close enough we have a great support group too that is called the circle of Friends , no doctors or hospital affiliated...and meet on the second friday of the month....would love to have you visit us at least.
Hope to see you on the board often so we can get to know you...

Dr. Price is very good. The first few days after surgery I had severe nausua. Talk about regrets.....I was thinking being fat wasn't so bad. He was very concerned and there for me every day. The nausua went away and I've had no problems. I'm so happy with my new life.
His staff is very nice. I'm not particularly fond of Trisha and maybe that's because exercise is a nasty work for me. It's the hardest thing for me to do. In the beginning she was telling me I needed to exercise 7 days a week. Never happened and won't. I know exercise is important and I need to do more of it. Thelma is so nice and I always enjoyed visiting with her. She told me a couple months ago I should be eating 1,200 calories a day and 600 of them from carbs. I don't agree with that at all. I have lost about 70 lbs. and need to lose another 20 and eating 600 carbs a day would send my numbers back up the scale.
I wasn't able to go in for my 18 months visit because they won't see me in the morning. It just isn't convenient for me to go in the afternoon. They are always running late and I don't like that. It seems to take all afternoon to see everyone.
Love his and Sandy's southern accent.
