Changed my surgery date

Oh well ,I went in for my pre op visit today with dr, Ponnuru , and he told me he had to change my surgery date from the 21st to the 28th...I guess I couldn't be too mad at him, he and his wife just had a baby and she "informed him , he WOULD be taking some time off" I told him I understood and it was o.k, Gosh that man is just so nice,  a little disappointed ...oh well, a week more isn't so long, I guess i'll have more time to say goodbye to my 25 year friendship (HA HA) (the devil ) with my apron!! BTW.... They do ,do surgeries at KU medical, I wonder if they do it somewhere else if you are self pay??? Dr said i'd be there 1 to 2 day's depending on my pain,eating, and walking  I am just so excited!!!

susyalba a week wont take long to pass for you but we know you sure will be glad to ge it done.i have a cousin who had weight loss surgery a few year's ago and when she had her extra skin taken off it weighed 40 pound's.she felt soo much better.hope to get to meet you sometime.have a great day.god bless.susan

Thank you Susan (best name ever lol ;)   I think 20 -30 lb.s should be about right, I intend to use this to jump start some more weight loss, I just feel like I can't move well, I am so off balance with all my weight in the front, not to mention misshapen.    you have a super duper lovely day too!!!  Susan A

Sorry about the delay but, it is hard to be mad at him isn't it? He is one of the nicest people I ever met. I am suprised you will be in the hospital. Mine was outpatient. They are all done outside the main KU. You must be having alot more taken off. Make sure you weigh prior to going to the hospital in case they don't weigh you. What time is your surgery?

I am to be there at 10:30 am , unless they call and tell me differen't...I wonder why KU hosp. too? I thought maybe it would be cheaper for a self pay somewhere else..or could be your right mine is probably a little more involved, definetly more than 7 lb.s for sure!!  he told me he will probably do another cut vertically from my belly button down to pubis , to be able to get more from the sides, I told him that was fine, I don't plan on wearing a bikini anyway lol...You are so right, I can't be mad at him, he is such a sweetheart and has a great sense of humor, I meshed really well with him, his nurse too, I liked her a whole lot as well. hugs all around Susan A
