I can highly recommend Dr. Hoehn or Dr. Kowalski for any of three surgeries they offer, RNY, Lap Band or Sleeve. They are located in Shawnee Mission Ks which is part of the KC Metro area. But most importantly whomever you go with make sure you research their after care programs as there are many in the KC area that lack badly in aftercare.

I had Dr. Edwards and loved him but he mostly does bands now so I would recommend Dr. Hornbostel. He's outstanding and does only RNY. There is just a big difference in opinion about the success rate of those with bands vs those with RNY and I don't know who is right. Can't comment without science to back it up.

Dr. John Price at St. Luke's, Kansas City, is excellent and was my surgeon. It would be a bit of a drive for you.
The only thing I don't like about his practice is they are always running late. I'm almost 2 years out and he won't see me for a morning appointment.

Thank you everyone!! I am going to go with Dr. Hornbostel. I will be attending the May 2nd seminar. I can't wait to get the ball rolling!! I will make an appointment tomorrow for my mental health exam. How long does it take from the time of the seminar to get the surgery scheduled? I know I have to have a nutritional consult. How busy is the dr.? I am HOPING to have it done by June if thats even possible. What do you all think? I am SO excited!!!
