HEY WHATS HAPPENING

sure was a nice rain we had , now if it gets back to warm like we did have every thing should pop open bright and pretty. Im looking out the window right now and the white bridal wreath bushes are just beautiful dripping in white. along with the yellow forsyth and yellow daffodil makes such a pretty spring picture. My tulips are all blooming or beginning to ope this morning too. wont be long till other things that have been asleep all winter open for their brief bit of bright glory in the spring. If they would all just stay blooming wouldnt that be pretty. if all the lovely spring stuff stayed blooming along with all the summer things that opened and bloomed we could have some much color all the time i guess our eyes wouldnt be able to stand it lol

I will have Joe to till up along all the drives and sidewalks outside the edges of where the daffodils are later and then i will sprinkle marigold seeds or zinnia seeds along there ....
I notiiced yesterday that the grasses that i have out by the driveway entrance on both sides are beginning to get green on them so it wont be long for them to be green and tall ...

I have got to get a call into my brother today and see when he can possible come over one day this month and help us with building the water fall up front. He isnt very healthy so i told him all i want is his brain..lol ...Joe and I and George will pick up the rocks and place them where he says to put them. ...so need to find out what all i need to get ....pipe, cement, etc etc.
cant wait to see that built....then we will tackle the big outdoor fireplace, oven, grill that we want ...
I know we have to find a place to buy some fire bricks ....

well im off today so need to get my busy list ready to do . and get the coffee started  so i can have my protein coffee. 
talk away. what you have planned today. or this weekend...I have to work tomorrow so wont be doing any of the ordinary Easter things.  What are your traditions ???

ps. still didnt find that durn frog .....will look again today.

Good morning to all.that sure was a lot of rain we got yesterday but now the sun is shining soo pretty here this morning.hope it sure stay's that way for a while.thing's are blooming soo pretty around here.

jan hope they did not work you too hard last night.we are not sure what kind of tree's that are blooming along the road here coming in biut they sure look nice.andy cut the grass the other day for the first time this season and if the rain keep's up it will be growing again fast.
that little frog sure must like you.lol.

jeanie rae glad to hear you are feeling better.we sure are looking foward to seeing you at the may meeting.we are sure waiting to hear how your doctor's app went.we know you are too.

jo how are your day's off work.they sure do go fast.i work 4 then i am off for two.i never have the same two day's off.andy will be working monday thru friday.i wil take him in the morning's to work then come back home for a little while and then go back to work my self and he will come back in the evening's to get me.work's out perfect because we live soo close to the home.

wow the sun has been out so nice all day. it said it only got to 70 today but it was enough that it felt good for sure. yeah the trees that are in your place are Bradford pears they are really pretty arent they? so perfect.
I hope Andys job works out for him....it is a real good thing that you all live so close because other wise it sure wouldnt work would it on the hours for both of you.

 

Yesterday was very cool but the sun finally came out in the evening.  Sun is out today and I have the doors open, hope to open windows later today.  I picked up my ham yesterday and it looks delicious.  They had 2 cops there to direct traffic.  It wasn't bad yesterday, but I've heard Saturdays before a holiday are crazy.  I didn't make it to the thrift store.  Went up there but it was raining and no parking spots even close to the store.  That store has nice things but they are a little pricey.

Last night I made Beef Strogonoff and it was delicious and so easy.  Supposed to be made in the slow cooker but I didn't have the soup needed to do that so I used the pressure cooker.  Cooked in 16 minutes.  I cooked a package of those Knorr noodle side dishes.  I had maybe 1/4 cup of noodles and no problem.  I used stew meat.  Will post the recipe.  The meat was so tender.

This morning I made breakfast.  I love to cook but breakfast isn't a meal I like to make.  I was craving waffles so I used Fiber One Pancake Mix.  Not good at all.  They were so dry.  I  bought that mix to use in some cake recipes from Eggface.  Max is too nice to say they were awful but they really were.  It said they are a little dry but I'm not complaining. 

I made myself dust and sweep every room before I could get on the computer.  The eggs are cooked for deveiled eggs and the potatoes are cooked for scalloped potatoes.  Tomorrow's menu is ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans with almonds, fruit salad, deveiled eggs, dill bread and sugar free cheesecake.  I bought a small egg shaped, decorated cake for Emily's birthday.   I don't eat cake.  Just one bite made me throw up.

I will be working in my woman cave this afternoon.   

Jo your meal for tomorrow sounds really yummy ....i dont know what i will fix for the guys here to eat. i didnt get a ham so dont know maybe i will fix them a big pot of ham and beans lol...
i love breakfast or use to till i had surgery. i use to absolutly love eggs now it is very rare that i can eat one. ....
for most of the things that i can eat it just doesnt seem like i want to go to the trouble of cooking. I know i shouldnt be that way since i have others to cook for but just dont enjoy it any more. seems like everything that i think sounds good doesnt sort of like your pancakes....
