Post Op Surgeon's Visit 3/30/10

Went to the surgeon yesterday 3/30
 
and

staples are out;

drain is out

and no longer on IV Fluids at home;

almost feel like a new  person.   When I sat with him and he explained what happened this is what he told me;   Apparently My new pouch that my original surgeon on my original RNY Gastric Bypass  did grew back into my old stomach and then reopened - this only happens in 2 - 4% of Gastric Bypass surgeries; and I was just one of them; also he removed a huge incisional hernia that he said was caused by a poor stitch line that just kept pulling because of the weight on my abdomen; he also cauterized two small ulcers and removed 3 inches of my intestine that were not functioning the way they should have been.    No wonder I have felt like crap after my surgery; feeling much better now.

So glad to hear you are feeling better.  Goodness you sure have been thru it.  Hang in there sounds like you are moving right along. Yippee!
