Daily Bible Reading - Tuesday - March 30th
In Luke today I really love the story of the woman who had been sick for twelve years and had such faith to find Jesus and to reach out and touch Him to get her healing. She had faith enough and knew if she could just touch His garment that she would be healed instantly. When she did work her way through the crowd, that must have been tough with the huge crowds that gathered around Jesus, I can just see her reaching as far as she could through everyone and just barely grabbing Jesus’ garment. When she did it says Jesus instantly felt the power go out of Him, He knew someone had touched Him and was healed. He immediately said “Who touched me?" Peter said to him it was impossible to know because the whole crowd was pressing up against them but Jesus knew when He saw her and then told her that her faith had made her whole to go in peace. That story just thrills my heart every time I read it, if that woman can have enough faith to be healed of her affliction she had suffered for twelve years then surely we can have just half that faith to see our problems and things taken care of by God. The bible says that if we just have faith the size of a mustard seed that the mountains in our lives HAVE to obey us. Do you know how big a mustard seed is? Not very big at all, in fact its one of the smallest seeds there is, so that’s not very much faith at all and yet with that little of faith we can tell the mountains in our lives to get behind us. So I say to myself, if the woman with a twelve year sickness can do it then surely we can.

"…I have learned to be content whatever the cir****tances"
(Philippians 4:11, NIV)
It's easy in life to get so focused on our dreams, goals, and what we want that it consumes us. We can get to the point where we're not going to be happy until it happens. But I've found that if we have to have something in order to be happy, our lives are out of balance. When our goals and dreams start to frustrate us, when we lose our peace, and we're not enjoying life; that's a sure sign that we're holding on too tightly. What's the solution? You've got to release it. Freedom comes when you say, "God, I'm turning it all over to You. You know my desires, and You know what's best for me. I'm choosing to trust You and trust Your timing."
When we learn to be content whatever the cir****tances, it takes away the power of the enemy. It takes away his ability to frustrate us. Not only that, but by our actions we are showing our faith in God. When you choose to trust in His timing, you can live in peace, you can live in joy, and you can rest in Him knowing that He has good things in store for your future.
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, today I choose to trust in You. I release frustration over the dreams and desires in my heart, knowing that You know what's best for me. I choose to trust in Your timing because You are faithful, and I will bless You in all things. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
