WHATS HAPPENING TUESDAY
Oh my wasn’t yesterday beautiful and today is suppose to be more of the same only even more so. I am up early so I can get everything done before we have to leave for Springfield and visit with Dr. about my knee and the problems it is causing. You know the looks of it doesn’t bother me really , I guess when you get older that isn’t the main thing, the part that I want corrected is the fact that it is causing me lots of other problems.
Already have a load of clothes in the washer and another one ready to go when those get done.
Took the girl at work her flowers that I got her in Springfield plus I took her some starts of some of my things. She was so excited about getting to plant today. I took her some Bee Balm and a pot of some of my spreading iris.
We may get to go on a dinner ride tonight on the trike is we get back from Springfield early enough….Hope so ….will just have to remember to take the rain suit in case I am getting too cold it stops the wind and keeps you warm….im such a pansy about the cold anymore. I just hate the looks of your hair when you get to where you are going after riding …lol you look like crap after having those helmets on..wish someone somewhere would invent something that would take care of that.
SUSAN::::: thanks so much for the start of the purple vine…it should be going good by the time I get ready to put stuff outside for good. At least last night the residents weren’t running me ragged. Only that nurse. I think you know who I mean. It seems that none of the other nurses will even hardly work with her not unless they just have no choice at all. I ask Carol since she was sick if she wanted to do the unit , because it is easier and she was doing meds on the front hall which is hard. Lol she said only if you furnish me with a pitchfork lol …so since I didn’t have one I laughed and told her ok I would go to the witches den myself . I really was trying to give her the easier job. Lol
We have a old aide that is back and he is a good one so if we lost one on our shift then this one is back that is good…
JO:::::it is odd how our taste change but they seem to get back pretty much to normal the longer it is that you are out from surgery. I love veggies and would eat only them really if I could. I use to be a meat and potatoes kind of person and now I almost have to make myself eat meat. And I don’t eat potatoes much at all. But I can put away the veggies of any kind and especially green ones. They cause gas but I just take a beano before I eat them and all is well.
BEC::::: yeah it is about time you got back on here, I miss you when you are gone so long. So how was the daughter and her friend visit? Did you like him? Or is that yet to be? Is there more to it than just a friend? Lol im anxious to know . I could just imagine you planning a wedding lol you would be beside yourself I know.
Sounds like you are going to have quite a lot of company over Easter where in the world will you put everyone? I know you will be right in your element cooking and making everyone feel at home.
I know Susan is looking forward to seeing you. You are going to be shocked at how small she is. Wow. I told her her doctor will tell her to quit losing weight now. She just looks at me like im nuts lol I hope im not telling her that because I might be jealous of her. I really don’t mean to be if I am….. well maybe just a little lol
I have a bed full of hyacinths of all colors and everytime you walk by them it is like heaven…they are right beside the green house and when im out there and have the window open it smells so good. So many things are coming up and greening out. Lilys of all sorts are coming up and looking good. I am getting so excited about everything. I love this time of year and up until it gets cold again. Your Hostas may not have started coming up yet don’t give up on them yet. Mine are just getting above the ground and im a good what two weeks ahead of you…so hang on they might be yet. I think I would have had chickens for supper if they had scratched my flowers up.
So Paul fenced in your yard instead of fencing in the chickens? I would be afraid to let mine run really loose as there are dogs in the neighborhood that would get them or hawks if they were in the wide open area…and even the bald eagles that are here all the time , they wont come into a smaller fenced area but they wouldn’t hesitate if they were in the complete open.
Yikes 30 different things you are going to cook????good grief woman are you a glutton for punishment? Cant begin to imagine…..
DEBBIE D:::::: good to see you back home and im so glad that your Aunt is doing better and that you and your mother are in a better place than you were. Oh what I would give to have my mama back again. We were never as close as she and Sugar were but if I had her back I would be. She would have loved my flowers I have now. She would have just sit on my back porch and smiled and smiled at them. I like to think that somehow she can see them and is happy for me to finally have a place that I can indulge my passion.
You ask about Mrsa , yes it is highly contagious according to where it is and how you \\are taking care of her. If it is in the blood you want to protect yourself if you are changing dressings and such. They can get it under partial control but nothing really gets rid of it….MRSA stands for Methacillian resistant Staph Aurous(sp) and that means that most antibiotics don’t touch it. They have developed some stronger ones lately that are having some promise but so far they haven’t gotten it cleared completely either. And the biggest place you pick it up is in the hospital. Most of them are tying to cut down on it but it is hard to keep under control.
Lol my brain couldn’t keep everyone in my mind either , I have a trick ill show you sometime…lol
JEANIE::::: well wont be long now till you know a surgery date. Im getting so excited for you….Im getting an excess of plastic bags again. Will start cutting them up and tying them together again for you soon.
Oh that would be great to have you come down…would love to see my place and it will be so extra pretty soon. I was looking at the iris yesterday and some of them are getting crinkly down at the bottom, they do that before the bottom starts getting thicker with a bud down low….i love my iris. I hope all my new ones bloom this year, last year they didn’t and I was so disappointed that they didn’t. but im sure they will this year.
I don’t think you are a wimp we all do what we have to do you know.
SUSIE:::: Will be praying that the doctor gets the eyes right this time….
So the full time job that you thought you had isn’t to be huh? Oh well you really didn’t want to work full time again did you?
Well going to get this posted and close I have to get ready to go to Springfield. Yuck I would rather just stay home today but need to go see about this and if he doesn’t want to do anything then need to find a lawyer I guess. Double yuck. But one thing is I know he knows it isn’t right he never has sent me a bill for the surgery back in November…so that says right there that he knows something isn’t right.

GOD BLESS YOU TODAY
JAN COOK
My husband is anxious to get outside working in the yard. We have a rabbit problem. They eat everything. The stuff to keep them away is expensive, but so are the bushes and plants they are destroying. A lot of the flowers he planted last fall are coming up.
Bec, I just love the full glass storm door and so do my dogs. They lay in front of it and snooze or watch cars go by. My husband is most definitely not handy with home projects. He was raised on a dairy farm so don't know how he missed learning how to do things around the house. We have a SIL that lives 10 minutes away but he never offers to do anything to help us although we do a lot for them taking the kids here and there.
Did you watch DWTS? There are some good ones. Kate needs to go. She has zero personality and is such a whiner plus she can't dance. I really like the guy that's an ice skater. Derek Hough's partner is really good. Pamela Anderson can dance but I just don't like her.
Nice temps today but very windy.

Got lots and lots done yesterday... wagon loads of branches and leaves... since Paul fenced... that made a bit of the woods yard so I got my long handled loppers out and trimmed up the half a dozen trees and then raked all the ground and hauled the stuffs off... worked my gator real good it came in so handy... you can just jump on it and go... not the same as the big tractor I would have had to use.... my hubby is a fine man to want me to have that "toy"!!! He's so good to me!!! Golly I think I'll keep him! ~tee hee
Today I hope to get my hydrangea beds fixed, leaves out of the rocks and fountain running... just could not get it all done yesterday... too much... I have blisters on my hands from raking so much. But today is another day so will get busy... took the straw off my berries again yesterday too and they look great! That 10 inches of snow we got did not harm them... I so hope I get a good crop from them this year!
Tee hee Mimi ~ I'm not making ALL 30+ recipes but those are the ones I'm choosing from... I will have people for 3 days so I'll need lots of food. Then I will send some home with Jo and her friend. About the friend... not sure about that yet but Jo told me he really likes me and my cooking... so I guess I made a good impression? I just took ahold of him when he got here and gave him a big ole hug... I think it took him aback a bit but after that he was willing to hug me several times that weekend!!! ~too funny... we hugged and I fed him... we hugged and I fed him, we hugged and I fed him again!!! ... he told Jo later.... "I love your mom!!!" that was sweet. I had to laugh... he gained 7 lbs and Jo gained 5!!! I lost 5! It was the same 5 lbs I've been struggling with for a long time now but it was great anyway!
Where will I put all that company? I told them all to bring their own bedding... we will be slumber par~taying... I will give the beds I have to the seniors first and then "new company" then the rest of us will have to make due. I think Paul's uncle and aunt that have never been here before are coming. I want to make her a nice party favor to take home. Some are coming from Iowa too. I have not had all of them since the 1st Christmas we moved in here.
I am excited about my plants too and I don't EVEN have the wonderful things you do... I got 4 pink clematis to put on my trellis's this year... then I am going to put two balloon plants on each side and then some bedding plants in there too... hope they all do well as the balloon plants are $10 each... it will be my "splurge" for this year. Well I guess the beet bed is too. Hope to get my taters in Thursday if the weather will let it dry out enough?
Yes, Paul fenced the yard as he just can't stand to pen up the chickens...we disagree about that but I know he will not pen them up tight... so I guess what happens will happen... that's why I won't agree to get a big dog... he would let it roam and I won't let it bother the neighbors so we just don't have one... I'm constantly having to clean up the neighbor dogs mess... it irritates me sometimes... but they love me and are my walking companions most of the time. So it hard to be mad at someone that can't wait to see you...? Paul's fencing is gearing toward a cow in the future. Want to raise one and then let it have a calf to butcher... how many hot dogs can a cow eat? ~tee hee Just kidding but you know what I mean... it will be a pet for sure... then how will we eat it?
I can tell just by Susan's Avatar that she has lost scads of weight... Renee too I think? She looks itty bitty by her Avatar pic on face book... I look like the good year blimp compared to both those gals...~ha But I'm simply thrilled for both of them! I'm always happy for anyone that is able to get where they want to be and hopefully does not have to struggle like I do. I wouldn't wi**** on anyone for sure.
I'm looking forward to the boot camp if you decide to have one... I sure wish I could make it to the support group meeting on food addictions... I'm quite sure I would get alot from it.
Well it's time to get to the exercise and outside to do some more yard work.... have a good day and enjoy this wonderful weather!
