WHATS HAPPENING SUNDAY

Wow I sure wish you all could have been with me yesterday….Yes Susan there were a lot of people there they even had a parking guy there that was telling everyone where they could park. It was a mess. But I had a really good time. I spent about 3 hours there walking around. Wishing I had all the money I wanted to spend…I want a Japanese red cut leaf Maple…they only get about 8 feet tall and one about 3 ft tall is 400.00 lol you think I will ever get it ? not unless someone gives me one that’s for sure. But I found some wonderful things. I have been looking and looking for a vine that will grow and thrive in the shade and I found one. Cant tell you the name of it right now , not anything I have ever heard of before but is beautiful and has purple flowers on it. I want to train it to twine around the small saplings in the shade garden that don’t get off much shade anyway and make a canopy for my little shade room….i was telling them what I wanted to do and they said oh wow that sounds fascinating. Lol Then Joe pipes up and says you should see some of the things she has done in places. Said she made me make her a sapling arbor like tunnel into the shade garden and it is being covered with honeysuckle and some sort of green vine.  Found several good shade plants too that get big and that is what  I am needing.

I went there for the geraniums they were 1.49 for a 4 inch pot a really good price to pay 298 for the rest of them well I pick out 10 and told Joe go pay for those and put them in the truck.then I got 10 and paid for them, then we both did that again lol  the checker laughed and said well there is more than one way to skin a cat isn’t there lol

I said there is when it comes to bargains and flowers.

There were a couple of ladies that were looking for a pale purple iris. And they didn’t have them…I was standing right beside her and said I bet I have the one you are looking for. She wanted to know where my nursery was I laughed and said not a nursery just my yard…gave her my card and told her that when she noticed iris blooming to call me and she could come down and get one ….she said she would , we will see. Lol

Well by then I had 2 wagons full of stuff good grief. I started adding in my head and told Joe I guess I better get out of here …Saw my friend while I was there. I told her I envied her job. That would be my dream job for sure…I know they don’t pay what I make but still would be so much fun. I worked at one in Texas for about 6 months. And got all sorts of flower starts…anyway as you can see I am feeling a lots better lol no more winter blaas ….tomorrow I will start putting my geraniums in the pots that I will grow them in and getting them going good for the summer. I bought one big one that is an Imperial Geranium absolutely the most beautiful thing. Purple with white edging, they get really large…so I have already put it in the pot I want it in….and will put something else in with it around the edges. And probably will put two or three of the spike plants with it.

Sugar came over to the nursery about the time I was ready to leave so I paid for all of the stuff and left Joe to put it all in the truck..I left with Sugar , we went to a big freight discount store …found a large package of Preen that I usually pay about 20.00 for that they had priced for 9.00 would have got more of them if they would have had it but they didn’t they just had the one. Also got a really good watering wand for 1.50 loaves of Natures own whole wheat bread for 1.39. wow good buys…

Went on out to Sugars house and then went to listen to her grandkids Christian praise band , well two of her grandkids are in it. They are all young teens. They weren’t bad if I do say so. It has been so long since I saw those kids , good grief they have really grown. We decided that it was getting really black out and thought we might should go home so we left and stopped in Forsyth and bought some milk and bacon to go with all of our eggs. Lol got to have something to go with them….oh yeah found that Brown organic eggs sell in the store or at least our store down here for 2.50 a doz…I cant believe that …what do they sell for in your store.  Let me know if you will….im trying to figure out what to charge people that want to buy them…is 2.00 a dozen about right?

Well that was my day what about yours.

JEANIE:::: LOL all of us get to be a bitty sometimes. Lol I had to laugh when I read that. But I know what you mean about trying to get guys sometimes to do something. You just have to be a bitty sometimes. It usually works lol the men in our lives know that if Mama aint happy then nobody is happy .

Isn’t it fun to play at and with grandbabies. They are so precious and they grow up so fast and now im playing with great grandbabies. It seems like life is so short sometimes. Especially looking back on it. Love them while you can , too soon they will be grown.

SUSAN::::yeah im sort of tired tonight but really anxious to get my flowers potted up and ready for sitting them out…I bought several things that will come back every year getting bigger and better every year.

I am sore but it is from planting in the garden Friday. The back of my legs and across my shoulders. Im anxious to see the doctor Tuesday and get a shot in both shoulders. Digging with a shovel makes them sore and hurt for sure.

JO::::what sort of procedure did your hubby get? Injections in his back or what? Im sorry you probably told us and I don’t remember.

Your trip and meal sounds good , lot of a too good of thing is bad tho isn’t it? Doesn’t it surprise you any more about the size of servings  they serve people and before surgery you ate all of that and would probably ate more. Lol

Oh you bet you im looking forward to many 70 days. I know we will have rain with them but it doesn’t always last all day…and when it stops the sun comes out.

Another cloudy day.  Will the sun shine for more than a day ever again?

Jan, you would really be good working at a nursery.  My husband would enjoy that but he couldn't do a lot of heavy lifting.  I get a nervous when Max goes to pick out plants and I'm not with him to keep the cost down.  It's definately not something I want to do.  The flowers makes my nose stuffy and my eyes water.  I do love flowers.

I can't think what the procedure was called Max had, but it was some kind of angiogram and they went up the groin like they do for heart tests.  They were looking for a spinal fistula which wasn't found.

When they brought my plate at Chicken-Pickin' I was a little overwhelmed.  I had to switch with Max because they brought me a thigh and leg and I just can't eat dark meat.  He had a breast and wing and wings are my favorite.  I was a little concerned that the fried would bother me but it didn't, probably because I took off the skin.  I ate slowly and when I'm full, I'm full, and I can't swallow any more.  In my "other" life I would have eaten it because I paid for it and been miserable.  I didn't eat all the breast and people were asking for more chicken.  Most of them cleaned their plates and they were done before I had eat half of mine.  A few people, including me, didn't take the Root Beer Float, but their spouse did.

I got a recipe from BE for Lentil Soup so I'm going to buy some lentils today and make it.  Dinner today will be Mini Meatloaves baked in a muffin pan.  They will be perfect to take for my lunch.  I bought a big container of salad greens.  Just put it in a container and it's ready for lunch.

Jo i would love to work in a nursery but they just dont pay enough. If im going to work it has to be for enough money...not that nursing is for enough money for all that we do but it is better than the average job as far as Pay per hour goes. if i wanted to drive to Branson to work i could even make more than i do but it is a little more conviente to work where i do rather than spend that extra 15 minutes to get to work and more curves and traffic...
I couldnt do any heavy lifting either. so it would limit my working there. lol the only thing they might want me for is my knowledge and dont know if they pay anyone for that lol

i have lots of lentils and most of the time when i am making any sort of soup i throw lentils in there too to add lots and lots of protein ....they are high in it.

i use to love meat loaf....dont know what is with it but since i had surgery i can not eat it. i eat all sorts of ground meat things with no problem but i make a meat loaf and one bite and that is it...feels like i am blowing up....
