I'm 5 mo. out and I haven't had any blood work or any other tests run since my surgery.  I was just wondering if anyone else was told to do blood work reguarly, etc.

I think a lot of doctors wait till one year for blood work unless there are problems. Then once a year after that. You should be able to request more if you want. Just remember because you have a couple of good blood tests does not mean the rest will be the same . It can take a while for some things to show up. So always do at least once a year.

My doctor had me to do testing at 6 months and then one year and since then i have done once a year unless i start feeling extra tired or weak or sick or something...you can request it yourself anytime.. with your regular doctor or just at al lab....most insurances will pay for it for once a year...remember when you do get tested it isnt just a cbc it is for all the vits and minerals...about 15 tubes of blood lol
good luck on your journey and good to see you on the board....come back often

You should have it done at 3 mo, 6mo & yearly thereafter unless there are issues.
