I really enjoyed reading your updates Lisa! You're a creative writer!!!
I'm curious, does your surgeon not provide the compression garment? I had two provided by mine...I have some funny stories of things that happened while wearing that damn thing! Like forgetting I'd put underwear on over it SEVERAL times and peeing right through my undies when I'd go to the bathroom. I was still on my pain meds so I blame it on that!!!
I definitely could not get into that thing alone! Jim had to help me alot. I did have the circumferencial though....never had any issues with my back stitches but I sure was sore...head the front muscles laced up like you plan to have and that made me bend forward like an little old lady for several days. It's all worth it though!!!
Thanks for sharing!!!

Thank you for the compliment! There is so much of this process I just find hilarious.

That is too funny! I am sure that I will end up doing that as well. It would feel funny to have something on my bum and pee, so I imagine once you get used to the constant pressure it would be easy to forget that your undies are on!

I surgeon will be providing a binder and a compression garment, but the garment is a basic one with zippers up the legs and does not have support for the boobs so you have to wear a seperate bra. The nurse told me that they can be stiff and uncomfortable. I guess I will just have to see. I just wanted to make sure that I had something that I would feel comfortable in so that I will make sure and wear it as long as I am told to.

I am not looking forward to the whole hunching over, but I AM looking forward to having ab muscles! I can't wait!

I already have the next meeting in my calender!

Oh I hadn't thought about needing one for the boobs too because I had that surgery at a different time. That makes sense if you found one that works all together. my lower one was hook and eyes all the way up the side (like the back of a bra) and a zipper so it was HARD to fasten.

If we don't laugh at ourselves through all this I don't know how else we'd get through it!

Hugs!
