WHATS HAPPENING WEDNESDAY

I finally got awake enough today to do something . I felt like sleeping all day long. I lay out in the swing for about 2 hours just soaking up the sun. I know tomorrow is suppose to be cloudy and rainy again. Darn…but oh well today I was off work and it was beautiful it got up to 74 here at my house. Beautiful.

The guys went fishing and fished about 4 hours …they caught one white bass. So Jeanie maybe the fish are going to start biting good. That one little fish made a good meal for me and appetizers for the guys. She was loaded with eggs so they should be laying before long and if the white bass are biting then the crappie should start biting too. Yummy this one sure was good. But I made them spag and meat balls for their supper lol

Well the health bill passed , I sure hope that it doesn’t do all the bad things that people have said it will…I know for a fact that the medicare program is going to be cut , so guess I will have to go to work full time now. Especially if they are going to make everyone buy this insurance or pay a fine …I read that the fines could be up to 8000.00 a year. Now how can they force you to buy something if you don’t want it? Isn’t that communisium? That would be like them saying that we have to buy a certain car or be fined wouldn’t it? That just doesn’t seem right.

I have had all day long to answer all you that wrote on yesterdays post but I have just felt so sleepy and tired. Finally I realized that I hadn’t had enough protein. And when I ate that nice slab of fish I felt so much better. Then about an hour later I made me a strawberry protein smoothie. Feel great now.

Hey Jo I love dancing with the stars….i guess since I use to be a dancer too that I look at them a little differently but that Pam was awful to me she was high on something , her eyes looked pretty glazed. Im not sure which one I like best . it was probally the girl that danced with Derick….i think they said she was a *****cat doll. She was really gracefull in the waltz and the waltz is one of the hardest dances there is to do really right. But I think that the football player showed lots of heart and may fool all of us …

The support group meeting is in Springfield…I drive it every month …it is about 70 miles from my house , not sure exactly how many it is…but takes us about an hour and a half, mainly because of all the curves you have to drive to get to my house after you turn off of highway 65….

SUSAN: you are right they sure were keeping me busy last night. I guess I need to go get this knee fixed really quick before they take our medicare away from us old people.

No telling what they are going to do about it. But I know we cant afford insurance if we have to buy it oh well no one cares about the older person anyway…at least the government doesn’t it seems. I wonder what will happen  to the nursing home patients.

Im glad the toe doctor said your toe was looking well.

JEANIE:::: I know what you mean sometimes I get like that too but not often any more since I had surgery. Today was sort of like that , all I wanted to do was just lay in the sun and soak it up

Lol about me falling asleep in front of the computer. That would be weird to have the computer stuff coming into my brain be a robot , make a good kids movie lol

Wow you are getting closer and closer to the last appointment with your doctor …wont be long now.

Im glad your husband sleeps better now with the O2 ….things sometimes really do make a difference don’t they? Wont be long now till you will be able to give yours up im sure. Especially is you get into a good exercise program and get your lungs built back up.

Im glad that Jo said that housework always waits on us ….it sometimes has to wait on me a long long time lol

Susie: I am going to go see my eye doctor the only thing is is that they are in Mt home now but his wife is a eye surgeon that works with him and medicare will pay for the eye lids to be raised or fixed or what ever if they droop too much to where they interfere with the amount of light that gets into your eyes …mine do and cause me not to see as well. So need to hurry and get the things done right now that I know medicare will pay for …before they quit it or greatly alter it. Good luck on getting your eyes taken care of. I hope he does a good job on them this time. Is he doing them for free this time? Hope so…

Well I am going to get this posted and hope to get a good nights sleep tonight….oh I just remembered why I may be feeling so tired…I haven’t given myself a B12 shot all month…need to go pick up my order at the drug store tomorrow before work….cant believe I forgot that. Wow must be slipping.

Jan I talked to someone from the state represenitives office yesterday about Medicare, they are not going to cut out Medicare, there might be a few changes to it, maybe a few cut backs on some area's but Medicare will not be totally cut out.  Any changes made to the Medicare program would not take effect until 2014 if then. One change that will take effect this year though is the prescription drug program for the good, those that are on medicare and have to pay a high price for drugs still will only have to pay a small co-pay.  She was explaining a bunch of mumbo to me that I really didnt understand but she did say that Medicare will continue to exsist even after 2014 but with changes, some good some not so good.  She also said that Lt. Govenor of Missouri is now fighting to get the health bill voted as unconstitutional here in our state, something like 14 other states have already done that so we'll see what happens.

Hope that info helps ya some.

Thanks Andy there is so much talk and so much about this thing that it is very confusing....one says one thing and someone else says something else. i just don't understand it at all. the one thing i did understand was that the medicare advantage programs would be severally cut....but we will just have to wait and see i guess. thanks again for the info. that eases my mind for the moment anyway. i think they deliberately try to make things like this confusing just so the average person cant figure it out.

Two days of sunshine and warmer temps but today is cloudy.  Most of the snow is gone.  Last night I went to the gym in shorts.

I'm really confused about the health insurance plan.  Maybe they're looking at health insurance like car insurance.  You have to have liability or you can get fined and sued for the amount of damages.  The health insurance would have to be affordable.  If you make minimum wage, how can you afford insurance?  So many people without insurance use the ER as their doctor and we all wind up paying for it.  Medicare certainly shouldn't see cuts.  That's the group that needs it most.  Right now my husband has Medicare and is covered by my insurance so we're not out any expenses for him other than co-pays for meds and he takes 10 different ones.  I would retire if it wasn't for the insurance issue.

I think the Branson trip is off.  If we drive that far I want to see some shows and the tickets are just too expensive.  We are planning a trip to Colorado in September so we want to save our money for that.  I'm going to consider coming down for the meeting.  We could leave here at noon and be in Springfield in plenty of time.  It would be a chance to see how the doggies travel.

I've ordered the new Atkins book.  Their plan has changed significantly.  Now they have veggies on the plan.  I did it years ago for a week and hated it.

Jan, someone else mentioned they thought Pamela was drunk or on something.  I really like the football player.  Buzz was a disaster but he tried.

Anyone watch Biggest Loser?  I was so glad to see Lance leave.  Can't stand him or his wife.  Why do those people eat the junk food on national TV.  I'm sure it looks good but I wouldn't want anyone seeing me eat it.  In private, I might be tempted.  The doctor on there talks down WLS but exercising 6 hours a day isn't normal either.

Jo I'm with you, I can't stand Lance and especially his wife, I could not believe she was encouraging him to eat all those cupcakes, thank goodness he did not win the money ugh!!  Next week all the ones voted off come back and when it showed Lances wife being a smart ellic " Immmmm baccckkkk"  I thought NO NO NO NO she CANT come back, I doubt she'd be the one coming back anyway, she dont look like she's lost any more weight since she left, looks can be deceiving tho.
