Daily Bible Reading - Monday - March 22nd
Something really struck me when I read Luke 5:12-13 where he said to Jesus “Lord if you are willing you can make me clean" and of course Jesus said “ I am willing". You know that made me think do we realize that Jesus is ALWAYS willing, its us that are not willing? I mean whatever situation we are in or whatever we are in need of Jesus is ALWAYS willing to help us and provide for our needs or to help us meet our needs we just have to be willing to accept the help. If any of you are like me I like to get things done on my own without help but sometimes we just need the help and have to be humble enough to ask for it. When we ask for help Jesus is right there ready and willing to help us. He only wants the very best for us and wants to see us do well. That’s one thing I have to work on is accepting help when we need it instead of being my stubborn self and trying to do it on my own.
The devotional goes right along with that this morning, it talks about receiving what God has in store for us, receiving His abundance and grace. It even says God knows we will stumble and yet He is still right there to catch us when we do, isn’t that just great??? It doesn’t matter what we do or how we act God is there to forgive us and help us get on the right track, halleluiah. What an amazing, wonderful God we serve. If that doesn’t light a fire under us then I don’t know what will!

Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."
God wants to do something new in your life today. He knew you would have setbacks and He knew that life wouldn't always be fair. But, God wants to restore to you what the enemy has taken away. He always has something better in store for you than anything you can imagine. God doesn't care where you've been as much as He cares about where you're going. He knows that everyone falls short; that's why the Bible says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful to forgive us." Don't let the enemy keep you focused on past disappointments and mistakes. You don't have to pay God back for your past mistakes and failures. That's what grace is all about. It's a free gift. You are free to receive God's mercy and forgiveness.
Today's thought: God, give me the strength to set my focus forward today. Thank You for continuously giving me another chance and for being more concerned with my future than my past.
