WHATS HAPPENING SATURDAY THE 20TH?
Well went down to Clarksville to help my daughter Michele pack up and get ready to move. they had a big garage sale and sold everything except their clothes and the things she didnt want to sell she had me to bring them back with me and store them , like her winter clothes. they left this morning moving to San Antonio. i told her that this next year as soon as it got cold i would be leaving for Tucson and would stop and stay with her a few days...then on the way back home would stop again. so we will have several places along the way to stop and stay now lol...we have two places in La, 2 in Tex...and since we dont see them but once a year they dont get tired of us lol ....cheap way to travel . and im not nothing if im not cheap. but this year when we leave for the winter we will have to take the trike on a trailer , im not riding that far again in the winter on the trike , it just gets too too cold.
well i had planned on planting some stuff today but since it is raining i dont guess i will. i need to get my lettuce planted so we can have some early stuff. Have any of you ever seen the seed tapes of small seeded things? they are great when you can barely see the seeds it is this roll of tape stuff that will disolve and the seeds are stuck to it, you just roll it out where you want it and barely cover it with
dirt ,they are great i have some for beets that i am going to try....i have tried them forn some flowers before but not veggies.
well i wish we could have had a beautiful day for your week end but it isnt to be looks like this is all we are going to get this next week....love you all post away

Well it's not raining here yet, but we're back in the dark ages. I have a really hard time getting motivated when it's gloomy outside.
Doing OK, really not a whole lot to talk about. Just counting days til my FC. Then I'll be getting ready for my NEW LIFE.
Jan~Hope you stay warm the next few days. Gonna try and do the same.
gonna post and get the rest of my food log done then watch TV.
I was hoping you remember where you bought the beet seed tape? I would love to plant some beets that actually came up and I could harvest for pickled beets. I have tried several times and have never been successful yet. GRRR

the beet tape seeds came from Parks seeds i think...i will look and see where they are from tomorrow. im on the way out the door right now to get to work....ok...oh and your soil needs to be really loamy not packed like clay...dont know what sort of soil you have tho.
i love pickled beets too one of my all time favorites. ....i get to craving them so badly i go buy canned beets and bring them home and make them pickled lol
dont get too cold today.

I bought my DH a new tiller for our 40th wedding anniversary (I know nothing says romance like a new tiller TEE HEE) But hopefully we will have better luck with our garden with better worked soil.
I have done the same as far as buying canned beets and pickle them. The checker commented that I must really like beets. LOL I explained why and she thought she would do the same.
Hope work is easy tonight for you,
Connie B.
We love picked beets but I buy the canned one. My dad grew beets and I used to can them.
My husband has a small tiller but my hands just won't fit it....LOL. Someone told me yesterday not to work too hard shoveling my driveway. I told him my hands don't fit the handle of the snow shovel.

I did some Branson research and found some deals that include hotel and tickets to shows and other attractions. One deal is $201 and includes 2 nights in a hotel and tickets to 2 shows we're interested in. It's kind of like you get the room for free. We have always loved Silver Dollar City but it's almost $60 a ticket. With all the rides they've added I'm wondering it is has lost some it's uniqueness.
I'm headed to K-Mart this afternoon to check out some spring clothes. Wonder if I will ever need them.
