WHATS HAPPENING...SATURDAY

Good morning everyone. wow if you didn't get to come to the support meeting last night you missed a great meeting.  I knew that Tami would be a great leader.  She is very good at getting everyone to open up and also to keep onto the subject so it doesn't get out of hand.....

With the weather like it has been for the last few days has anyone looked at the trees??? the buds on them is getting huge , all of this rain is making them get ready to just pop open anytime. the next warm sunny day we have they may just pop open and we will have pretty green leaves on a lot of our early trees again.   I love spring and that special green color that trees have at first ...every year it seems like it gets prettier to me.

Susan do you work Sunday ? I was working Saturday but Carol H. wanted to change days to work so she will be working Saturday and i will work Sunday....if not i will bring the money for the protein powder to you at your house Sunday or will have Joe to when he takes me to work if you aren't home i will have him to put it inside your screen door would that be OK:? Or i work again on Tuesday the 16th...

well i have finally made and appointment with the surgeon that did my knee surgery, the crooked one...i am ready to make a stand with him about it. by the end of the day it has given out so much that my foot is almost laying sideways. i just cant keep letting it get worse and worse. don't know what he is going to say but i have my speech thought out. and i am making Joe go with me and hopefully Sugar too. we will all corner him lol
It is starting to hurt a lot . really sharp pains and sometimes it sort of catches and buckles. so something other than looks is going on in there too.

it sure was cold and misty rain yesterday most of the day . guess we got spoiled with those beautiful days we had last week. but we will have them again. Next Saturday the 20th is the first day of spring. but we may still have some bad cold days even after that...sometimes we have had a frost in May so hang onto your britches and don't plant flowers too early. OK?
the only exception would be you can plant Pansy's right now. will take a lot of them to make much impact ....unless you plant them in pots and set them up on the porch or patio. they will take froze even ice and snow and keep blooming ....hot summer sun is what does them in.
I have had them to keep blooming all year as long as in the summer time you plant them in deep deep shade. and keep them watered well.

Lana when is your appointment at KU? ..that price that Barbara said they charged her for an extensive tummy tuck is fantastic. cheaper than Mexico for sure. and that isn't just getting the skin taken off that is for repairing muscles and all . So I'm going to work really hard and get all out other bills paid off so i can get the work done that i want done too. wow. i wonder what they charge for a face lift and a arm lift ...maybe wont make a difference in how long you live but sure will make the stay here more pleasant lol

Susie was good to see you last night too. Hope you have a good time this week end in Branson.
Jeanie you are looking good and i can tell you have lost 35 pounds too. how fantastic that you have already lost that before you even have had surgery. that is great.
Chris was good to see you too. hope you all come back more often...
Brenda was there with her arm in a sling and looked really good. all tanned and sexy. lol
Jane and her hubby was there too.  and we had a new gentleman there and I'm really sorry but i have forgotten his name. I remember he is the brother to one of my sisters friend, Sherry. but he is just in his beginning to find out information ...but i think we encouraged him and maybe scared him a little too. but don't believe in pulling punches with people do you? not about something so serious as wls. it isn't something to take lightly and you have to be prepared for the rest of your life to be committed to taking vits. watching how much water you get in daily and keeping your protein levels up.  doing blood test about once a year to see how you are doing and being diligent about your food intake .

good morning to all.sure did get cool last night.was only 38 on my way home from work.burrrr.supposed to reach 50 tomorrow.we are soo ready for the 70's again.

sorry we missed the meeting.hopefully the next one will be on my day off of work.it has been soo long since we have seen everyone.

jan i am off on sunday and monday.when you go to work tomorrow if we are not home just put the envelope inside the screen door or i work on tuesday either way is fine.
they are going to need another full time nurse with carol leaving.i think she only has about 10 day's left.
it is good that joe and maybe sugar go with you to the doctor.you all can gang up on him.lol.
work was busy last night.the lift broke and the resident's they use it to get them up had to be room tray's.

jeanie rae cong on losing 35 pound's already.that is great.sorry we did not get to see you.keep up the good work.

susie how is school going?before you know it the end of the school year will be here the way this year is flying by.my sister in law get's out the 2 week of may.

jo how is thing's going in your woman  cave?the weather sure has been crazy we are not getting out winter coat's again either.

Yeah i am thinking i will tell them i will pick up more days as long as i dont have to do the front hall meds ....that is just too hard on me. almost impossible really. or maybe im just too old lol
yeah it did seem really cold last night i was shivering all night until on the way home  Joe turned the heater on full blast for me lol he turned off his vents so it all came over on me ...
on my doctors appointment i just realized that i cant be in Springfield at 3:30 on Wednesday because we would have to pick George up from school at 3:30 cant be in two places at once. so will have to call them monday morning and try to change it to one of the days im off and other things arent going on.....need to get that done soon tho. i just hate to think of having to go thru another surgery on it....

Yes jan we have meet tami.at last month's meeting when she first took over.tuesday will be ok oif you dont make it tomorrow.i work tuesday thru friday then i am off the weekend.see ya tuesday at work.have a great day susan.

  

Good Morning OH,

Well Jan didn't have to come and get me, and we lucked out and got an early morning delivery so I was able to come back home and get my DH settled for the night and get ready for the meeting.

DH has had a lot more trouble breathing, they call it an exacerbation? not sure how to spell it. They are calling the St. John's Home Health Support Monday to order oxygen for him, his O2 levels at last Dr. app were low, they wanted to put him on then but he was trying to be hard headed and refused. Yesterday he was having so much trouble, I talked him into hooking up to one of my tanks and it helped him almost instantly, so he changed his hard headedness into accepting that he needs the help right now. With his regurgitating heart valve he can't take anymore chances. I think remembering when I had heart failure in 2002, and how sick I was convinced him that it could happen to him.

I am having to really get my mind together now, because it looks like he will need a valve repair, and it's a very risky surgery, I need to get well more than ever so I can be there for him the way he was there for me. You know I really have been in denial for the last few months, it's just beggining to hit me how sick my husband really is.

Right now just one day at a time, will see if the oxygen helps him improve like it did me. I know that if my Dr. hadn't put me on it I would not be here. So I am praying that it helps him get some of his health back.

I really enjoyed the COF meeting last night, Tami is great and I like that she shares her life experiences. It was so good to see such a good turnout.

I have to catch my food log up, been keeping it on paper this week, but have been going to Springfield every day for jobs and didn't post on Health Tracker.

Thank-you all for the good wishes, I can feel the support from the meeting. Am so grateful that I came back here, I feel like I found a really good big family.

i am really proud of you for sticking to your food plan and losing the weight you have already, also you were telling about going into the airport without your o2 and getting the movie cannisters. wow that in itself is amazing isnt it????
yes it is important that you take care of yourself and get yourself well so if you need to care for hubby you can...it is a shame that he is getting sick like he is when you are getting better. but if that is to be you can help keep him well as long as you can...
wanted to know where do you get the cute smilie faces? everytime i down load those things they mess with my computer for some reason.
You are family to all of us...that is one thing i have discovered too is that weight loss patients have this connection that makes us like family. we all love you and if you need anything at all let me or someone know ok?
