WHATS HAPPENING WEDNESDAY MARCH 10TH
Hey there everyone. How was your day yesterday? It was another great day I thought. was a little cloudy at times but nothing to bad…got up to 69 anyway almost 70. We worked on the garden gate it was hanging up and at times I couldn’t get it open at all. Joe got that fixed and is doing well now. at least it opens without killing myself to get it open.
we put up one of my trellises today…got it all ready for this cute little area im fixing up…have a little small wagon wheel bench(not big enough to sit on) that im sitting back there with the little wishing well and plant stand too. will put flowers in a big pot in the well and plant stand and sit something cute on the bench with probably a cypress vine on the trellis.
Tomorrow is payday will be going to town to get that and then get some other things. Mainly lettuce seeds, beets, sugar snap peas and some green onion sets. and get them all in the ground…if they start coming up and we get a frost I will just cover them all up…but this way they will get up and ready to go..cant wait.
put all the pumps for all my ponds in a bucket of vinegar water to clean them all out and get them ready to go. Cleaned the fountain, and one pond, tha****er was really cold.I would sure hate to be wading in it lol .
Someone said the lake water is up to 40 brrrrr that is awful cold still I think it is around 50 before the fish start really biting good. so come on sunshine. The weather guys said they really thought that winter was over. lol but I don’t count on it. it fact it is suppose to be only in the 40s I think the next couple of days.
Got into my summer clothes today and got out some of my tank tops felt good out there working. I got two more flower beds cleaned out. and spread preen in the Iris beds. all of my new iris that I planted last year look like they are going to make a showing. don’t know if they will bloom this year but at least they are growing well.
Joe tilled up the other side of the garden , the area that the chickens will be in this summer and boy they just went to town on that…they have found that when we till it up they can dig easier I guess cause they think it is great.
we also got the area around the compost pile cleaned up and ready for more stuff to go in there. we put a layer of old dried leaves on there and Joe is suppose to get another load of horse poop tomorrow to put in the mulch pile. then we will get a load of dirt somewhere and layer all of this together…we really need to put all that is in there out and put that on top. starting with the new stuff on bottom. may mention that to him lol
well I have my 12 big tubs ready to go for my tomato plants. don’t have the holes in the bottoms of some of them yet but will do that before planting for sure. they sure will take a lot of dirt to fill that many of them.
Went out and measured an area for the pool that I hope to get soon. I want to have it set up by the first of April anyway so the water can have plenty of time to warm up good. Before I get it Joe has to cut down this one big ole persimmon tree , it has broken several times and as most of them do has gotten hit by lightening several times. so it will be coming down .
that was about the extent of working today. not a lot of stuff but enough to keep us sort of busy.
JO:::::That quilt just sounds really really neat. do you make them square and then sew them together with trim or what?
just sounds cool.
oh wow your kitchen sounds like it will be really neat when you are done with it. what colors are you doing?
oh insurance isn’t that a bugger. cant pay for it and cant pay the bills if you don’t have it. private insurance is stupidly high so high that I know no one that can afford it.
sure hope your plans on retireing work out. I only go back to work once in a while to keep my hand in it and to not feel old and useless lol ..i have patients my age . make me feel lots younger since I can work and all
Move down here into a nice condo on the lake and then you can go to our support meetings lol
SUSAN:::: wow smalls huh?? make me feel big as the side of a house anymore lol sure wish I could have done that good. seems like when you are bigger that you lose more and faster and longer …you have done great.
would love to have the scrubs. I can wear smalls but they are so constricting that I get really uncomfortable.
I keep thinking I have gained weight. but I haven’t . don’t know what is wrong with my jeans. well yes I do I can barely get them on but it is from the swelling in my legs . most of them I cant get them on past my knees. really irritating. I sometimes wish I had never had my knees done. but too late for that now. I don’t know what I am going to do about this one that is so crooked.
JEANIE RAE::::: I know you are just so excited that you can barely stand it. did you get any sleep last night???
yeah I remember that after I had surgery I had such loose stools for about 2 weeks , don’t know why except because of the liquid diet …once I started eating food it stopped that. I am so happy for you , that soon you will be feeling better , and looking better , can barely wait for you to have surgery , it is an exciting time. we are getting your place all ready for the losers bench. you will be so happy to be a loser. lol

I am thinking of checking into Mexico for plastic surgery. It looks like I can get it all done for the price of a tummy tuck here. Anyone want to go with me? I do not want to there alone.
Hope you all enjoy your Weds.
boy i would go with you in a heartbeat if i had the money to have all of my stuff done yet.
where in Mexico..
I kneel all the time with my knees but i have really new and improved knees supposedly lol
but you do need padding to kneel on hard surfaces as there isnt anything there for padding between the skin and metal. hope to see you Friday night.

Jan, google t-shirt quilts and you can see what they look like. You cut the t-shirt design out and either sew them together or add sashing between each square. You should stabalize the back of the square with interfacing to prevent stretching, but whoever sewed the blocks together on the one I did didn't do that so there was a bit of stretching when I sewing the sashing between the rows.
The new sink is in and looks great. It is sealed in without that ring they used to use. I had hoped to use the faucetts we had but they were stripped so new ones had to be bought. Then a pipe under the sink was cracked and ready to burst so that had to be replaced. The cabinets are cappucino or some coffee flavor and the walls will be a sand color.

i did google the guilt tops. they are super cute...i will have to find someone to do the sewing and such for me but i will get the shirts out and can iron the backing on them....that would be super neat to give to a kid that is graduating and going off to college if you had saved their shirts that were cute all their life. wouldnt it?
your kitchen sounds really lovely ...i am wanting to re do my whole house but Joe says """"`what?????"""" lol you know men.

Been a long but good day! The Lord blessed us with a GREAT deal on a 2003 Chevy Impala! We will pick it up on Monday. This guy's Dad passed away 2 months ago then his Mom passed away last week. They had lots of "stuff" but no life insurance. So the kids are selling their "stuff" to help off set the cost of the funerals. This car only has 60,500 miles on it! It's all power windows with on star, leather seats and a sunroof! It's a dark pewter color. It looks brand new! The best part of it is the price! It books at over 9100 and we got it for 5900!! I called this dear friend of ours this morning who has bought cars, fixed them up and sold them for years. I asked him what he thought this car would be worth. (I didn't tell him the price at this time). He said he thought if we could get it for $10,000 that would be a GOOD deal! Then I told him how much we paid for it. He couldn't believe it! Then he said it had to be a God thing! He asked if we'd been praying about it. I told him actually I had been praying about it!
Can you tell I'm excited about it!? Jake will be inheriting my 1999 Town & Country Mini-Van. He's not that thrilled about it, but it is FREE plus we just replaced the transmission a couple years ago and it has new tires on it and brakes. Should last him through his high school years. He's really into sports so he's not had a job yet. Plus he just turned 15 in January. We told him that he can save his money from his job this summer (he's going to be working at the Mariana) and sale the van and use that money along with whatever he's saved to buy him another car. We will see what he chooses to do. He also has to pay 1/2 of his car insurance.
Speaking of car insurance! Jake's driver's permit expires on Friday. Since he took Driver's Education last year and he has a driver's permit he can still get his restricted license at 15 and his regular license at 16. Otherwise, he would have to wait until he's 16 1/2 to get his license. I'm glad I won't have to be getting up early every morning to take him to school. That extra hour of sleep really helps me in the morning! Amway's having TWO teenage boys on our policy is very EXPENSIVE! Luke paid 1/2 of his insurance until the last two years which we've told him we'd pay as long as he keeps his grades up. Jake is going to have to pay 1/2 of his insurance until he's at least a senior. If David's job doesn't pan out, Luke's going to be paying 1/2 of his again too! We've been with Liberty Mutual since 1994. I think it's time I start looking around. I haven't gotten any quotes in about 5 years. I know the last time I got quotes no one could match their home owner's or their auto insurance quotes. Time change so maybe I can get a better rate else where? That is if David gets a regular job! May have to wait on that one too!
A local elementary school called this morning and asked if I'd sub 1/2 day for a 2nd grade class. So I went in at Noon. They were a great group of kids and I really enjoyed them today!
Came home rested for an hour or so then Jake and I along with one of his high school friends went up to the gym. I did my 30 minute walk on the treadmill. I've only missed exercising ONE day since last Friday. I've done two days of Water Fitness class and the other days I've walked 30 minutes. Tonight I stepped it up to Level 2 and I must say it really was hard for me today. Tomorrow I am taking a REST from exercising. I am truly EXHAUSTED!!! I've been going to be between 9 and 9:30 every night but then I wake up at 3am wide awake. Drives me crazy!!
I have a follow up apt next Tuesday with my new Cardiologist. They are also going to do a scan of my cortoried artery at that time. I'm interested in hearing what she has to say about that test as well as my PET scan. That's the main reason I've started exercising...for my heart health! Losing a few pounds will hopefully be an added bonus!
My Aunt Fredia had double knee surgery at Baxter County Hospital over 3 weeks ago. She's had a time! She had MERSA, Blood poisoning, then she found this "knot" on her bottom. Turns out she had a HUGE infection in her bowels which had finally worked it's way out. It took the surgeon TWO surgeries to get it all out. He said he'd never seen that much infection in one person! She even coded at one time. PTL, she has taken a turn for the BETTER. They are planning on releasing her from the hospital next Wednesday. My Mom and I are planning on making a trip to Mountain Home, next Thursday (in my "new" car) to visit her. We will probably be staying with my Uncle Larry. He has a nice house and is single..so would be plenty of room and Aunt Fredia could relax. Fredia is the one who always cooks for us. Her daughter, Kim, will be helping take care of her. Please pray for her recovery. She told me tonight that you could fit 3 golf balls in the hole that is in her bottom. They pack it and unpack and clean it every day. She said it was very painful the first few times they did it. She's had severe problems with constipation for YEARS and the surgeon says that is the reason for the infection. He also told her it would take a long time for it grow back...will have to grown from the inside out. Any how, please pray for good weather and for traveling mercies for my Mom and I next week.
Luke & Jake start spring break this Friday. I'm going to make a couple meals and they will have to have left overs and sandwiches or have to grill something themselves. David will have to work next week but will be home in the evenings. I'm sure they'll be going to the gym together next week as well.
Well, it's after 9. I think I'm going to read a little and go to bed. I really am going to try and post on this thread at least ONCE a week! Maybe more!?
Hope you all have a good night's rest and a GREAT day tomorrow! Did you all hear we may have snow flurries on Friday!?? I am so SICK of SNOW!!! But I LOVE all of you!!
Debbie D.
wow your poor Aunt that is something all she has gone thru..just Mersa alone can kill someone.
you are really doing well on the exercise deal arent you? good for you. that is great i know you will start to feel better soon from all of it.
i will keep you in my prayers about your test and your new cardiologist ...let us know what she has to say ....hopefully it wont be as bad as you thought.
hey when you go to Mt Home how do you go down? if you take 160 holler and jump off and come see me for a few hours. ok?
love you hope all is ok we had some storms coming thru while ago but all is quite now.
no snow predicted for here. oh my i thought winter was over.

Good Evening OH,
Been a quiet lazy day, we headed into Springfield a little early and got a blood delivery to Houston, Missouri. Wasn't anything else going on so we came back home. Just kind of kicked back and watched tv, spent a little time with my GD Stormi and her dad.
I'm tired so gonna make this post short and go to bed.
Thanx to all of the wonderful people making room for me on the losers bench. I think surgery will be the end of April of first of May. The butterflies left, but still am nervous, and that's ok, I can deal with it.
I will be at the meeting on Friday. Looking forward to seeing everybody there.
Gonna close and go to bed. Talk to ya all later.
