Well looks like our beautiful weather is going to end for a little while anyway....for the next few days it is suppose to be in the 50s instead of the 70s. boooooo  hoooo dont like that. I was just starting to get a tan already now it will have to be done over  lol

I responded to every one that wrote on the board Yesterday ...under your names that way it doesnt take me quite as long to get this done. sometimes im really running short of time too.

went to meeting yesterday and they didnt say a word really about the insurance meeting just had me to sign that i didnt want any of it. which i didnt.  and then had to go to a boreing meeting about general stuff. lol
went to the bank and then went and picked up George at College and then hit wal mart. I had over 20.00 in coupons good for Atkins shakes, atkins bars and some Zone bars. i love the strawberry yogurt ones. they really are like my treat ...lol
got somhe dog food and some bird feed ...should have gotten some chicken feed but didnt have time before they closed.
I also bought some coloring for my hair i hope it turns out ok. i cant afford right now to spend the money on a hair cut and color ...i need both so very badly but oh well. I can cut my hair myself  since it is so curly you cant tell if i mess it up some lol

wanted to go to Kohls today but the guys were hungry and so we went home...they said i didnt need anything anyway. which i guess i didnt lol

had coupons for free dr peppers  with 3 deli pizzas it didnt say what size so i got the indivigal ones...now have  lots of pizzas for the guys when i have to work and George has a stock up of Dr. Pepper. that was my soda before i quit them but they dont even taste that great now. i took a sip several times and nope not interested.  dont want to have to go thru those withdrawals again getting off of it. took quite awhile but i got off of them even before i started the process of having wls ....

it was really pretty here all day got up to 76 but then on the way to wal mart it started clouding up and just about dark it started raining and i mean it poured. some wind but mostly just pure old downpour. these spring rains are what will make the trees pop open green and pretty again.
already the maple , dogwood and redbud have big bulging buds on them...i sure hope after this little set back in temps it will once again be pretty and sunny. winter was just way to long and cold this year.

well im going to get off here and oh yeah Susie thanks for the info....i will check it out .

Good Morning All...

Boy did I get some yard work done yesterday... I complained all day because I was repairing all the damage the "ladies" and did to all my mulch beds.... I hope they are "contained" now and will leave my beds alone... I am not convinced though... if there is a possible way for them to get out ... I just think they will... now how's that for optimism? ~ha

Mimi... do you have an asparagus bed?  How do you go about planting one of those?  Do you know?  I seen 10 "starts" in a bag for like $4 is that a good price and what do they look like?

I took the straw off my strawberries and I think most of them made it thru the winter... now I will have to go out and cover them if it freezes.  I also seen the seedum, mums and hydrangeas are peeking thru... but I think those stink'n chickens got my hostas and they even rooted up elephant ears!!! I cleaned out my lily bed too and the arbors.  Was to nice out there.... I will be ready to plant when it's time... I am going to try and get all my yard ornaments out before next weekend... Jo may be bringing a "guest" home and I want it to look nice out there.

I have more work to get done this week than my mind will comprehend... but I will keep after it....

Tomorrow it is our church's turn to feed the homeless so I will go in for that and run some errands... my dad's mom past away yesterday and the funeral is Saturday so I need to make some food for that as well.

Paul and I was dining "alfresco" ~tee hee yesterday out on the patio and and "Tess" the leader of the "ladies" came and jumped up on the table for Pete's sake!  It did NOT take me long to have her removed! ~tee hee  She has no fear that one.  I can't even go out side that they all come running just right sure I have something for them... do you think it's MY fault they are spoiled? ~ha

Paul has worked diligently on the fence around the house... he is so sore... he set 9 post for braces, we have a post hole digger on our tractor but it's still lots of hard work... he even got the woven wire temporally stretched so maybe the "ladies" won't figure out how to get around it?

Jeanie Rea ~ I'm just so happy about your approval! The time really will go by ...even though Mimi had a hard time convincing me of that when I had my surgery... she even counted down days with me right here on the board!  I had so much fantastic support here when I had my surgery and made some WONDERFUL friends!  Even ones that don't post much anymore I remember how they rallied around me and was just there for me... I'm forever grateful... I had three angels! I was blessed! and still am!

Mimi... why don't you consider having the "boot camp" from like Monday afternoon till Thursday morning?  That way people won't be away from their husbands on the weekend?  Just a thought... Maybe the first or second week of May?  That would be before school is out, and vacations start? I think I can actually make it this year... as far as I know we do not have any trips planned or graduations to attend...

Debbie Darl'n ~ praying safe travels to you my dear friend.  I'm so sorry about your aunt and have been praying her quick recovery.  And keep up the good work on the exercise!

Suzie ~ Will be interesting to see what you find out about having surgery in Mexico.  Hope you find something that will work and can afford.  I know any plastics are probably out for me as I have to pay every bit of it myself and if I do not work that will not happen.  But... who knows what the future holds?

Andy and Susan ~ I'm going to get the ingredients and make the granola soon... seems like so many have enjoyed it.  Blessings to you both!

Jo ~ I googled the t~shirt quilts and they are just pretty neat!  I know you will enjoy that new kitchen too... I sure am enjoying just my new cabinets!  I really needed the extra space... if you are going to do anything you just need room and "stuff" to do it! ~ha Paul is aways fussing that I have too much "stuff" and he is right but I NEED it all don't I? ~tee hee  He is always threatening to "back the trailer up" and throw it all in!  He would have to throw me in there too! ~ha

Wow it's nearly 10:00 I better get my booty out there and get my exercise out of the way, it's much colder here than yesterday... and then get to all these other things that have to get done... have a good one all.

Bec if the ladies are flying over the fence you need to clip one wings feathers back to where they start growing out of the skin. watch and dont cut them on the wing meat itself. this makes them lopsided and they cant fly.

no i dont have an asparagus bed want to start one just havent the plants have to be about 4 years old to start producing asparagus. oh in the 3 year you might get enough to make a good mess of them but it is a pain staking production. if i ever do start them i will go and buy the 3 year old plants so i dont have to wait so long the price for 10 for 4dollars has to be one year old roots. i would say if you are serious about growing it...go to a nursery and buy big plants and im not sure how many it takes to produce enough...maybe google it.

lol was laughing about all your stuff. you do have but you contain it well...if i had that much it would be running over and out of everything. but then i dont do half of what you do or even one tenth as much for holidays and things. you are such a Martha Stewart. lol

well i have got to get ready for work   will respond to the rest of you tonight.

Is confession good for the soul?  Well if it is you would not say I contain my "stuff" well if you could see my garage and "upper room"  they both are in a pitiful state of affairs... matter of fact I might to my detriment be singing soon:

"My D~I~V~O~R~C~E became final today... me and little T~O~E will be going away ..." ~ha

Paul is purely put out with my mess there... you can barely walk thru it... but I am working to the ends of getting it back in order... first things first though... had to do the cabinets to clean out the garage to put the Christmas decorations away... yes I said CHRISTMAS!!! Egads... this is the longest I have ever been at getting them put to rights... me REAL BAD! ~ha

Martha Stewart would be appalled!

And there I am cutting quilt pieces out!

I hope by next (not this one ~ha) weekend to be almost done with the garage and have my Spring decorations out and in place.

I don't really mind waiting for the asparagus... I do mind buying those expensive plants and then them not do well.... I'm too frugal for that to happen.  Are they hard to get started?

Hope you have a great night at work... now I really have to get out there and do my exercise! ~ha

Rained really hard last night with thunder and lightening.  Cloudy and chilly today but I refuse to wear my winter coat.

My husband's spine test last week where fluid was removed didn't show any problems.  Now he is scheduled for March 26th to have blood drawn from the spine.  If it were me I would say enough is enough but he does whatever they want him to.  I have to take the whole day off because the test is at 10:30 and he has to have a driver.  I finally scheduled an appointment for me with the orthopedic doctor about my hip.

The kitchen is coming along nicely and tonight we're going to buy the knob for the cabinets.  We have run into a problem though.  He was ready to put up the back storm door and noticed what he thinks is termites.  Ugh.....hope it's not.  Someone is coming this afternoon to inspect the house.  We can treat it but if there's major damage, we just can't afford to do repairs.  It was inspected 3 years ago when we bought it and no termites found.  They look like ants but I don't think ants would be out this early.  Let's hope it's ants.

The last 3 weeks I've eaten a variety of foods including carbs (good carbs), kept within the 1,200 calories/day range and not a pound has left my body.  So, I'm cutting carbs and going back to eating like I did after surgery and my pouch had healed.  I know I've slacking on protein so I definitely need to track it and make sure I have 80-110 grams a day.

I would like to get down another size, but if I don't, I don't.  I'm so much better now than before surgery.

im sort of like you Jo if someone wants to mess with my spine they better be able to catch me.

the kitchen sounds like it is going to be beautiful....send us some pictures when you are done.
what sort of knobs are you going to put on it? that is the way it is with renovations. you always find things that you arent wanting to find...

i know what you mean about even good carbs...too many and they mess you up for sure.

im like you i would love to get down to an 8 but if i never do a 10 is fine ...dont want to get down too low and look sick ...
