i need a support group

anyone know where i can find a support group in or around harrisonville, belton, peculiar, pleasant hill or maybe even lees summit area? i really need a group to attend and my Dr. is in Columbia. i can not travel that far all time. if you have info please share it. 

there is a great need for one in that area but as far as i know there isnt one....as many people that ask about one you all should get together and start your own....wish you were close enough to come to Springfield to our Circle of Friends group....it isnt doctor or hospital affilited at all. just started with a group of friends .....

b arbara that would be a good idea and then if the two of you can get some others to meet with you ...how about Cor and Debbie....and Peggy if she is still around.

i would love to have a group around here how would we go about doing it? what kind of things would we need? how would we get the word out to people in our area. i know there are at least 4 girl who shop at price chopper here who have had rny and my dr. had the band and so did the customer service lady at p.c. -she just got her first fill last week and the lady across the hall from me is in the preop process. there are lots of people around here who have had it done or are having it done. is there somewhere to get material or ....i just have no idea how to go about it but think it is an excellent idea.
