six months out of surgery have two hernias

hello every one i have two hernias one i had before surgery the other i  just got its right by my new pouch. internal hernia when i eat it hurts bad just a tea spoonful or two im done eating. the other hernia is a ventral hernia. i had before surgery if any body had any of these hernias please feel me in on what you went throw.  im scared and very nervies.

I had an internal hernia 10 months after my RNY. I had severe back pain.  Had NO IDEA that it had anything to do with my RNY.  However, my surgeon, Dr. Hornbostel, said an internal hernia is very common after weight loss surgery.   It was an "easy" fix.  He was able to do it laparoscopically and it only took about 45 minutes.  The recovery was quick too.  I've never had a ventral hernia so I can't help you with that one.

I strongly recommend that you call your surgeon and let him know what's going on.  My guess would be that he will want to see you.

 The fix was much easier to get thru than the symptoms.

so witch one did you have thanks for replying  just wondering if eather of you was really sore how long it took to recover. did you get to go home same day i hate hospitals.
