what surgeon are you going to? Dr. Hornbostel i know deals with tricare and it is very easy to get approval and get surgery scheduled from what i have seen....

I am going thru missouri bariatrics ...in columbia, mo,  Nicole Fearing is covered, and so is Archana Ramaswamy..... a friend of mine had nicole fearing and she recomended her, ive done all my research on all the surgeons there and id be ok with any one of them... my first dr appt is march 12th, ive already done my psych eval, and i have all my paper work ready....im just sitting and waiting for my dr appt...so i guess then i will know more details like who my surgeon will be and all that stuff.....i was just more curious how long after the first dr visit does it usually take to have surgery.......? thanks for your reply

I have tricare prime and everything went smooth as silk for my RNY. With standard you just may have some extra copay. Get the referral from your PCM first and the doctors office can guide you thru the rest. Once mine was submitted for approval it was only a day or two and they called to tell me I was approved.
