Well it is already the 6th of the month...and is suppose to be another pretty day today, maybe a little more cloudy but here it is suppose to get to 62 or that is what the Branson airport says.
Yesterday was really nice once it got up to 58 ...

we went and got a new jug of gas and Joe got out all the yard equipment , riding mower, push mower and weed eater and then his boat motor ...and checked them all out to see if they were running ok or if they needed  worked on...everything started fine and ran great. So i guess they are all ready for another summers work. we already knew the tiller worked ok since we used it a couple of weeks ago.
cant wait for the temps to get up in the decent range and stay above 40 at night. then the fish will start biting i hope. i am really hungry for some crappie.

i sat outside yesterday with a book with the intention of reading , but got about 2 pages read and feel asleep in the swing. had a nice hour long nap in the sun. it felt so good and warm. even pinked my face up a little .

Susan::: will miss seeing your smilling face tomorrow night. i gelt to work as charge on the front hall this time instead of the meds...man i am glad that last night almost killed me...i am still sore and hurting. i guess i am going to have to admit im old lol

JO:::: love it that you tried to get fired from makeing the costumes and they wouldnt fire you lol
just your luck huh?
Yeah sometimes i get way too much of a workout at work....i dont mind the moving around in fact it is good but when i give meds it is so much standing in one place that it just about kills my back...dont know why it hurts so much to just stand .
im like you i hope we dont have to go back to the heavy coats and stuff.

DEBBIE D.  was good to hear from you yesterday....always such a nice supprise to see your name come up on my phone id. lol
did you get your granola made ???

talk to you all tomorrow...got to go now. and get some coffee. the sun is coming up and the birds are singing so sounds like it is going to be a great day. ...love and hugs.

Good Morning, Mama Jan & MO Peeps!

David & Jake went out "shed" hunting this morning with a friend of David's and his 3 year old son.  By "shed" hunting I mean looking for deer antlers which they've "shed".  At least, I think that's what is meant by that!  lol!  Anyways, David and Jake fell down and slid into the creek.  So they ended up coming home earlier than they had expected.  After they had showered, Jake decided to make his Dad and I breakfast.  He made bacon, egg and cheese biscuits.  They were really good!  Plus I was pleasantly surprised he volunteered to cook for us.  Our oldest, Luke, would have NEVER done that!

I'm going to try and get some laundry done today.  Since I only do David and mine laundry now, it's not that bad.  Plus since it's Saturday, David will be here to help me.  He is really sore from the work out he and Jake did yesterday plus falling down and sliding into the creek didn't help this morning.  I had bought him a gift certificate to the massage therapist I go to for his birthday.  I called her today and he has an apt with her at 3:15.  I know he will feel a lot better after his massage!

I'm going to try and get in a 30 minute walk on the Cardio setting today.  Also going to check to see when their next Yoga Class is.  I LOVE the Yoga on the WII Fit, it really feels great to stretch and it seems to help me relax.  Going to call my water aerobic friend to see if she can start going with me next week.  If not, I'm going to have to go by myself.  I've got to try and stop this plaque that's in my arteries!!

Mama Jan - are you going to have the boot camp this summer?  If so, when?  I would love to come down there to see you and the others...would be great to jump start our systems and get caught up on each others lives!
Yes, I did get the granola made.  Wheat Bran is different than Wheat Germ.  Had to go to Price Chopper for the Wheat Bran because Walmart didn't have it.  It was GREAT hearing your voice yesterday!  I'll try and call you sometime this week to visit when I have more time.

Andy & Susan - DAVID LOVED THE GRANOLA!  He ate 1/2 the bag.  He put milk in it and ate it as cereal.  I made 2 cookie sheets and put each in a gallon size bag.  One was with my milk chocolate chip and the other one was plain.  I think I'm going to try some with milk as well.  I did have a serving before I went to bed last night, it was very FILLING!  It is rather expensive to prepare.  I guess I'm going to have to star****ching for those items to be on sale or try Aldi's next time.  Especially, since David and I both like it.  lol

Beautiful Bec - I'll bet you've been out there on that Gator in this nice weather!  I really want you to post some pictures of you driving it!   I know Crystal could help you post those pics!

Barbara S. - Yes, I would love to see you too!  We really should get together with some of the "locals" up here.  Let's see...it would be you, me, Cor, Peggy and who else??
With the weather getting better each day we could meet in OP sometime and have lunch or just visit.  Sounds GREAT to me!

MO PEEPS - Please know we are all here to support you!!  I live in Kansas, however, I believe the Lord lead me to the MO Board because He knew the love and support I would get from the women and men on this board!  Thank you all and have a WONDERFUL weekend!

Well the sun has disappeared up here. I was so looking forward to a warm sunny day. Maybe before the afternoon is over..........At least its not freezing or snowing.
I am applying for a permanent job at the school, I have mixed feelings about it but it will help me get more plastics. I haven't heard a word from my insurance on the tummy.
Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Good Morning All...

Had to set down for a break before I go exercise... got up this morning to a messy kitchen and all kinds of groceries to put away... I finally had to break down and do some serious grocery shopping... believe it or not I had not done major shopping since Christmas... I just had a lot left over and did not need staple things.  So I cleaned out the pantry and the scrubbed out the fridge... did dishes, put clothes away... went out and got the liner for my new shelves, spread them all out so they will get flat and will try and give another coat of poly urethane on the fronts of the cabinets and then cut the liner yet today... it is a "floating flooring" called Tarkett... my mil put me onto it and it is the very very best shelf liner I've ever seen or had... it will not buckle, crunch, peel... I put it in my cabinets a few years ago and it is just as nice as the day I put in in... I got it at a flooring place, it was scraps... it was a popular design so they has quite a bit of it and I was able to get enough to do my whole house and then had enough left to do these new cabinets too... I hope.  There is 28 shelves so I will need that many pieces... it will be very cool if I have enough to do the whole thing in the same pattern... if not I have a couple of other pieces that are almost the same but not quite... I will put those up in the top where I can't see it ~ha.  It wipes off so well and it's kept my drawers and shelves from getting that stained dirty look to them.  Can you tell I'm a believer in this stuff.... I had put three different shelf liners on all my cabinets and none of them lasted.... I spent a fraction of the $$ on this and got the bomb of shelf liner~ tee hee.

I spent all day yesterday running errands.  I come across a real good deal on a storm door for the front.  It was the exact color of green I needed with a gold lever handle and a gold strip across the bottom... for about half of what I had seen them any other place for... so that means Paul has another "honey do" and he's already loaded to the max with "projects".

Mimi ~ I got my seed taters yesterday and some onion sets.  I will have to go get my sugar snap pea seeds here soon.  I want to get them started... I just love those things.  Boy it will be March 15th here in a few days.  Last year we grew those taters in straw and it worked like a charm... just couldn't believe you didn't have to put dirt on the top... just didn't seem right....but boy were they easy to pull up when it was time to harvest them!  I'm going to take the straw off my strawberries and re~use it to plant the taters.  Paul will have to hurry with the fence so the chickens don't come along and dig up all my hard work.  Do you know it was their birthday yesterday and we went and got them some wheat... all wheat... about twice the price of the scratch eeks!  Then I gave them some deer bologna... oh my goodness you would of thought they were eating a kings feast! I had a large cottage cheese container full of it all chopped up in tiny pieces and it took 8 "ladies" all of a minute and a half to eat the WHOLE thing!  It was funny they were squawking with satisfaction! ~ that hit too close to home!  ~tee hee  Any way we got them a year ago yesterday.... and they are finally averaging 6 eggs a day. That's pretty good for buff orphingtons (sp?)... they are very pretty hens but not known to be the best layers.

Well I better get on with my list of things to do today... it is already nearly 60 degrees so I will go out and walk/run, do my ball and weights and then as a reward for my strenuous effort  I will get on my gator and take a nice ride.  I will have to go by myself as both Crystal and Paul are working today.  Oh shucks! ~ha

Debbie Darl'n ~ I'm so proud of you for getting the gym  membership and will pray as I do for Jo and her exercise regime that you will be blessed with what ever it takes to go on ahead and get the most out of it.  Know you are concerned about some of your health issues and know also that as you work to improve your situation the Lord is going to bless it and you are going to feel way much better!   "Amen and Amen" as an old man in our church used to say when he agreed with something... ~ha

Jo you are going to be one blessed lady for working on those wicked costumes! ~ha

Jeanie Rea ~ You hang in there lady bug... I'm glad you are feeling better.... I remember before I had surgery being very down and it taking all I had in me to remain positive as I waited 2 years to get approval.  You are already doing some things to prepare yourself and that's fantastic!   Just remember when you are at the lows that "this to shall pass" and believe it or not it really does... it doesn't make it any easier to go thru but if you can just see a sparkle of light at the end of the tunnel maybe it will give you some hope!  And we will pray for you too.

Have a good day and enjoy this warm!

Bec

Hi OH,

How beautiful it is outside right now. Been working around inside the house, had a venison roast to slice for jerky, and then cleaned out the fridge, gonna go outside and clean off the porch and ramp.

Been a little over tired, I think it's just my bodies system changing. Can remember going through short periods like this before when I was losing weight, so gonna just take it slow and see what happens. All of my blood work was good last week, just had to start taking more vit D3, Dr. doubled what I was taking so we'll se how it goes.

Jan~We have been talking about going fishing all winter, used to fish for crappie up north but haven't really tried down here. My luck fishing hasn't been all that good lately, but I sure do want to get back into that. I love eating crappie and blue gill. Like catfish too but haven't tried cooking it without frying. We went to walmart and got a nice big bag of tilapia fillets for $10.00, had a fillet for lunch it was well worth what we paid for them. Made some whole wheat bread for my DH yesterday. Was using a bread machine my son got me to mix and then proof the dough but the heating element went on the fritz, so I mixed with my food processor then went back to basics and kneaded and proofed the old fashion way. Turned out pretty good. Don't know how long I'll bake but for now it works for him. I love the aroma of fresh baked bread.

Susan~ I'm doing ok. Think I've worked through the emotional garbage for a while.

I'm planning on seeing if our local discount grocer has all the stuff for the granola, I love it for breakfast, I think maybe they do usually they carry all kinds of whole foods, and usually pretty reasonable on price.

Bec~I'm hanging in tight, I know it's not going to be all roses and that I will have to deal with what ever comes along. I appreciate the prayers I sure do need them right now. Like Deb, I would love to see some pics of you on your gator.

I hope everyone enjoys the sunshine, and have a good week-end.

Talk to ya all tomorrow.
