WHATS HAPPENING THURSDAY FEB 24
Well im still squeeking I think even worse than I was yesterday…it is hard not to talk you know it? Well maybe not for everyone lol my voice is really weird, it wont get above a whisper and then all of a sudden it will be really loud for a word or two and then it is back to a raspy whisper. doesn’t hurt but I still have this hacking cough…I know that is what has caused it but im not sick , don’t feel sick have a runny nose. But no congestion now.
Tonight at work I had to do the front hall medications. Oh my lord I thought I would die trying to get them all done. I didn’t finish up until right before 10pm…and that was only because I started sitting all of my meds up at 2pm….good grief…I thought I would never get done.then I dropped 2 different narcs and couldn’t find them so had to fill out this big long form about them and what I did with it etc etc. lol I hate all the narcs that they put old people on…numb that pain. And give them drugs to make them sleep . Not that I don’t want to give them it is just that I think that is the first thing the doctors think of to do to them. Not try to find the real solution.
SUSAN:::::: I forgot to tell you last night congrats on being normal now lol …glad you have made it so now you need to stop losing …lol you can add something to your diet now besides salads…did you ever in a million years think that someone would be telling you that you were getting too thin??? If you have to buy small scrub pants you can give me your mediums lol I like them looser….cant bend and move around good with them too tight. I have several pair of smalls and I wear them but they get sort of snug after about 4 or 5 hours…
Be sure and tell Andy I forgot my computer today will bring it tomorrow. Around 10:30 you all should be back from Branson by then.
JEANIE RAE::::: well yes I tried warm sal****er and it didn’t help a bit . I do this pretty often but the thing is im not really sick. Well I guess not im so doped up that im not sure lol
Im sure that you will be able to do with out the O2 not long after your surgery. Especially if you will start walking and exercising. You might need to ask the workers there what time of day is the slowest so you can get on the machines more.
Yes it is a fact that especially some drugs do have some bad side effects but it considered the lesser of two evils you know. Diabetic drugs have some serious ones , some of the worse ones ….make sure your pcp is on board with you about having the surgery …and tell them that one of your goals is to get off these pills.
You will know if they are with you on this if they will start lowering your dosages as your blood sugar lowers and lowers. If they don’t you might have to find another one. Or try it on your own. .
That sounds like a good first goal you have there…when you have surgery you will have more and more of them….as of right now I know it is hard to believe some of them but you will see. Get you a little book and every time you think of something you wish you could do write it down and then after surgery when you are able to do them you can check them off and put the date that you were able to do it down…then when you come to support you can say …well this month I was able to do this and able to do that.
Well I will get off here and if any of you want to do the WHATS HAPPENING POST Friday and Saturday I would appreciate it…I wont have a computer if I take it to Andy….I want him to put windows 7 on it….they say it is so much better than Vista. Altho I havent had a lot of problems with it.
Talk to you all later. I will have to catch up with you all Saturday night….have a good couple of days and hope the weather gets warmer.
Love you all

Well it's been a couple of busy days for me...
I got all my quilt blocks cut out and all the blocks laid together... even tacked the stacks together so i wouldn't lose any of the pieces, but... one color kept bothering me I just have not been happy with some yellow and aqua it had in it ....even though it was a tiny bit I just didn't like it so yesterday when I went to Columbia with my sis to the dr. I got a much better piece at Hobby Lobby... now I will have to recut and redo... but that's ok... I will like it so much better.
I got the cabinets stained too and today I will give them the coat of polyurethane. Tomorrow maybe I will cut the liner for them. So it will be ready the 1st of the week. I am going to have to stop and make my daughter curtains for her bedroom, so she can take them back with her on Sunday. Always something for sure. She will be home for a bridal shower.
Will need to decide what I am going to make her this weekend too... was hoping I would not have to cook but looks like I will a bit anyway.
Boy it was cold last night ... it is 13 here right now and I'm shuddering about going outside but know that I will as I do the very best in lots of ways when I get outside. It is suppose to be 36 degrees today. ~ha
Mimi ~ sorry about your voice hope it gets better soon. Passing the meds would be scary... I'm like you I would be afraid I would give the wrong thing to someone. But know you are as careful as you can be.
Susan ~ golly girl how nice it must be to know you do not need to lose another lb. I'm happy for you. And know you will be safe and even out where it is best and healthiest. The drs. will be so pleased when you go for your year appt. that you made your goal! How fun that will be!
Jeanie Rea ~ boy I remember the days you are in right now. The long long wait. I will be just simply thrilled to watch you go thru the surgery and see you make progress. You will be so pleased to be off those ole nasty meds and the side effects...to me it's the very best part of this surgery. I still can't believe how much better I feel now that I don't take those handfuls of medications a day! I pray it will be the same for you. You will be simply amazed when you can stoop over and not feel so uncomfortable, or exercise where you couldn't before, or just being able to do housework without having to set down every few minutes! There is way cool things that happen thru this process and well worth all the wait and hassles you are going thru now. Be of good cheer dear lady wonderful things are coming!
Jo ~ have missed you a day or two I think but hope all is going well, you have those costumes done and out of your hair and you are liking your new exercise equipment and videos.
Well better get started on the day I have plenty that needs to get done today. Blessings to all.
Good afternoon OH,
Well I don't know what I hit but my happy fingers deleted what I typed to post earlier, gonna try again.
Doing good today, no runs but had a good warm day in Springfield. Have to go in for Fasting blood work and EKG for my PCP, hoping to get a good run after my apps.
Jan~I lose my voice from time to time for a few days, without sore throat. I think sometimes you just get froggy, maybe allergies? I feel for you, I know how hard it is to not speak. God Bless you maybe you'll get it back soon.
I'm checking my levels 3 times a day now so I can show her when I have the sudden lows. Usually between breakfast and lunch, I take my meds at breakfast and dinner. I think if she at least cuts my dose in half it will solve the problem.
The thing that concerns me is one of the pre-ops mentioned that metformin can cause liver damage. Don't want that happening.
Susan~Congrats on your getting to goal, I want to be there, or at least close.
Bec~Thank-you for the prayers, I appreciate the caring, Feels like getting HUGS.
Got some other things to do, and need a nap so gonna post. Hope everybody can get out and enjoy the Sunshine. Talk to ya all tomorrow.
