WHATS HAPPENING WEDNESDAY FEB.24

Oh my gosh im glad I can type this instead of talking it…I sound like a squeaky frog….my voice goes in and out all the time…I will be talking and all of sudden I have nothing or it starts squeeking..crazy sounding..don’t have a sore throat but just cant talk…am coughing this dry hacking type of cough and I guess that is why my vocal cords are silly.

They called me into work today on the day shift. , good grief what a culture shock…I told them I felt like a fish out of water. Like they just had a warm body to be there. Had one new admit to the unit that I worked on and another one was coming in after we left…so we got two in but only one of them on my shift. But it isn’t near as bad as it use to be …we have an lpn that does all of the charting when a new resident comes in orders the meds and all and all the nurse on the floor has to do is check the patient for any bruising, reddened spots , sores etc…and chart them and also chart in Nurses notes about their arrival. Which usually is about a page of notes. …then we get vital signs check their lungs , and heart and abdomen…do a mental assessement on them,… and that is about it. So is a whole lot better….I sure am glad that we have the girl that does this much. It takes a lot of time to put a chart together and make sure all the papers are typed up well and in the right place.

SUSAN :::: Good to see you today. I surprised you huh? No I know you read my post anyway since you answered me about payday…do they think your dad can come back to Forsyth with his new meds ? I know that if he does we will or should chart daily on him to see how he is doing. Im really sorry that you have to see all of this with your Dad. I know that would be hard to watch your parent go so far down …know that he is in our prayers. And you and Andy too.

JEANIE RAE::::; well im sure glad that you enjoyed your class. I know it sounds very interesting. Would sure be great if all of us could afford to have lots of sessions like that probably.

Were you worried when you didn’t have enough O2 to get home on? Probably all that you are doing already has reduced your need for it some.

Im really excited for you for taking one more step on this journey….we are all right there beside you …so we will wait for Dr. Es office to call you with the next step…go Jeanie GO.

Good Morning OH,

Took the day off and sent DH into Springfield to see if he could get a short delivery. We don't need to make much money but if we can bring in a little bit each week it will help with our cash flow. Just hate to not have cash in my pocket when we go somewhere.

Jan~Hope you get to feeling better soon, I've lost my voice like that before and I wasn't smart enough to keep my mouth shut and just let everything clear up. If you gargle with hot sal****er sometimes it helps get rid of the frog in there.

I really didn't worry about the O2, we had a problem with one of my tanks before and I made it home OK. I don't really get out of breath without it, but I want to stay on it till after the Surgery, then after the healing I'm going to try to get my PCP to help assess me to see if I can stay off.

I go for my quarterly tests on Fri., have to mention that I'm having low sugar episodes and try to get one of the meds I'm taking either reduced in strength or change to something else. I am on Glucophage and someone said it can do liver damage, so will see Friday. You know I can't believe all the meds out there that have such severe side effects that are put on the market for people the help with life threatening diseases, it's just ate up.

Another good reason to have this surgery, I'm so tired of having to take drugs that I'm not sure about. I want my daily pill regimen to be vits and minerals and what ever else is food for me.

Susan~I so hope your Dad will be able to go back to Forsyth. Are you able to spend time with him there?

Thank-you for making room for me on the losers bench, I'm sure hoping I can join you all there real soon.

My first goal is to be able to go to Pomm De Terre for our annual family campout and really enjoy not having to be connected to oxygen.

Hope everyone stays warm today, I love that the sun is shinning, but no desire to go outside and freeze. Talk to ya all tomorrow.
