Daily Bible Reading - Tuesday - February 16th

It really amazed me as I was reading in Leviticus today, how they have to do this and that and all that in order to bring offerings before the Lord, and that there are different things you have to do for different types of offerings.  The blood gets splashed here for one type of offering and gets sprinkled there for another type of offering and there were so many different offerings it must have been hard to keep up with them all.  Praise the Lord now we don’t have to do all that blood sacrifices or anything, we can come boldly before the Throne of God because He sent His Son as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins, isn’t that just awesome!!  I’m so glad we don’t have to go through all that just to go into the temple to worship God even though I sure would do what it takes. 

I really like reading Mark, well actually all 4 of the gospels, they give a different account of the life of Jesus and the things He went through.  It’s like reading it from a different point of view; well actually that’s just what it is.  It’s really cool though to see how others saw the life of Christ.

Daily Devotional

"That day the LORD exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they revered him all the days of his life…"
(Joshua 4:14, NIV)

I love the promise that God gave to Joshua. He said, "Joshua, today I will begin to make you great in the eyes of all the Israelites." He was saying, "Today, I'm going to start releasing more of My favor, My blessings, My increase." But notice, there was a set time God began to release favor in a new way.

Friend, God wants to do the same thing for you. He wants to release His blessings and favor in such a way that it makes you a great parent, a great spouse, a great leader, a great employee, a great friend, a great business person. He is saying to us what He said to Joshua, "This day I'm going to begin to make your name great. This day I'm going to begin to release My favor in a new way. I'm going to open doors that no man can shut." It is a set time of God's favor. Get ready! Make room in your thinking. Stay open to Him and keep an attitude of faith and expectancy because this day God wants to overwhelm you with His blessing and favor in every area of your life!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father God, I bless You today. You alone are worthy of all glory and honor. Thank You for pouring out Your favor and blessing on me. I open my heart and mind to receive everything You have in store for me. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
