WHATS HAPPENING THURSDAY 2-11-10

Well yesterday was payday , my first one from there and it all went to pay the elect bill and that wasn’t a little elect bill either. Darn. But at least it is paid .. I have threatened anyone that turns the heat above 65 go put on socks , sweaters , heres a blanket ..lol im determined that the next one wont be so high. …and hopefully we can get over this winters heating bills …there wont be anymore like that if I have anything to say about it. My lord the electric bill was way way more than my mortgage payment. It seems it is always something to keep the poor people poorer and for the middle class on the edge of being really poor.

I have to work today then off tomorrow and work again on Saturday. And off on Sunday for my sons wedding in Crane. I told him boy if you forget your wedding date now ,don’t think it will be possible with all the ads for valentines day. Lol he said that is one reason why they picked it . Im excited for him this is his third marriage but she is totally different than his other two. She is a Christian woman for one thing. The other two tried to be but they both had some major addictions and a lot of mental baggage that they brought with them and he isn’t the best person in the world to help them to work things out. Anyway I am praying for them to be able to have a good and happy life from now on.

My bones are all hurting me so badly this morning that I can barely sit here and type this so I guess we are getting ready to have some more bad weather. don’t know when but it is there some where lol…

 

LOU:::::: Hey it is good to see you on here….don’t forget that tomorrow night is the support meeting instead of the regular time ok? The 12th….you sound like your running a lot lol . Well that is good exercise if you can do it but my excess flab slaps me to much and makes too much noise…lol I know you arent really running but doing a lot. Do you have time to keep your self hydrated and eating right? ….could you write down exactly what you eat in a days time and post it for us. Include the coffee proteins and all ….I would love to see what you eat to keep loosing the weight. I think I have gotten into the habit of eating too often….but is the only way I can get in the amount of calories I need and that is bare minima like 1000 calories.

wouldn’t it be nice if you could eat certain things and the weight come off in certain places ….like this week im eating only watermelon and that will take off all my belly …..lol boy we would all be in good shape then unless you hated watermelon then you could wind up being lopsided ….see you tomorrow night …

 

JO:::::: I hope you like the air climber and use it too. If you are like me and I think you are about exercise anyway, you probably wont like it but use it anyway. The only form of exercise I like is dancing. And I cant find anyplace to go dancing at anymore that isn’t filled with drunks and smoke. And dancing by yourself in the living room isn’t as much fun but it does keep me moving. I can do two songs at a time now. And working on doing the third. Lol…

Lol 600 carbs a day??????!!!!! Is she kidding??? That might be ok for a runner that ran every day or some other exercise person that exercised all the time like a weight lifter or cross country skier that needed the carbs for energy for that. But that many carbs is way out of line for us. Wow I was beating myself up over 50 carbs yesterday. I know on atkins when I did that before surgery I would gain weight on more than 30 a day….oh wow that you don’t like veggies. ..that is all I would eat if I could. I don’t like meat anymore…and I was a big meat eater before surgery. But I still pu**** down and hope that it stays. Most of the time it does if it is soft enough and I take tiny tiny bites. …

 

SUSAN:::::: well today starts your day and night of having to stay awake….you want one of my stay awake pills that I have to take? Lol they work pretty good for my illness don’t know how they would work for someone that just has to stay awake ?? Might be too strong for normal people that can keep their selves awake on their own…if someone said I had to stay awake that long they would have to be standing by me all the time to slap me or something. Or dip me in ice cold water every once in a while lol

Thanks for letting me sleep on your couch the other night it was sure a welcomed place to be. Good to have good friends like that to be able to count on you know? See you later today

BEC::::: I wish sometime when you came down this way you would holler and we could meet you over in Branson and and least have lunch or something …would be fun you know to see you more often.

I have a couple of old quilts that were my grandmothers but of course I like the fact that they look old lol and display them with the old side showing. Lol I bet you couldn’t have figured that out about me tho could you ?

Your cabinets in your laundry room sound really nice.

Hey drinking all the water you need and going to the pretty girls room as you call it is why you drink that much water in a day…it flushes out the toxins out of the body and fat that you break down too…so keep at it . I have never had any trouble getting in the amount of water and more than we need wish I could say the same about the calories. I just cant seem to get there without adding too many carbs. I get to about 700 calories in a day and the only way I can get the rest in is eating something that is high in calories but small so that I can crowd it into my tummy so that means junk , and that sends the carb count way too high…just never can get it right.

So far I have had a couple like you ask if we were going to have one….but no one has said that they would come….lol not for sure anyway…would like to get my sister from Texas to come up and run one for us. Wow she could work us out. She teaches Zumba classes ,core exercises , and aerobics…lord this girl is 61 and about the size of a toothpick and has more energy that the energizer bunny lol no joke. I went to one of her zumba classes and I didn’t know the steps so I just danced by myself in the back of the class.. Lol sure couldn’t keep up with her no way.

I wish I knew what to tell you about not wanting food….it just seems like too much trouble to me…maybe because im not a great cook like you are. I know if I were around you all the time I wouldn’t have any trouble eating your cooking for sure lol your dress sounds wonderful that you have for your nephew wedding. Have you tried it on with some sort of underwear that holds you in. there are several different ones that hold you in and smooth out the wrinkles lol they really do help….

 

JEANIE RAE:::::: anxious to see you tomorrow night. I hope you are still doing well and keeping the food diary….I have been trying to do it daily but something always makes me loose track lol …yesterday I did good tho and was like I suspected way too many carbs. Not enough calories …had a total of 900 calories for the day but had 50 carbs for the day….wonder what other people get for carbs that are losing weight well.

Sounds like you had quite the adventure on the trip down to Harrison ..lol …sometimes those directions to places off the computer directions are a little screwy….and too detailed …and some of the streets in Harrison arent named what they show up on the map things as lol really they arent .

Well will see you tomorrow night unless we get another blizzard or something. ….

A little dusting of snow this morning.  For the first time in weeks, I didn't wear my snow boots to work.  Can't wait to ditch the winter coat, scarf and gloves.

Yes, 150 carbs a day or 600 calories in carbs seems outrageous.  I'm afraid to try it.  Only 20% protein is 240 calories.  I can get that in 2 shakes.  I've never been a big meat eater.  About 2 oz. is all I can get down at a meal.  I have been getting about 40% protein.  Now, I'm really confused.  Guess I'll try it her way for a few days and see what happens.  I may really need the 5 Day Pouch Test. 

The air climber arrived yesterday and I used it last night.  It came with 2 DVDs but I didn'****ch them.  It wasn't as difficult to use as I thought it would be, but I was comparing it to the steppers at the gym.  I do think I will use it.  It also has the rubber bands you attach to it then handles for your hands so you can build upper body strength.  No excuse for not using it.

My GD brought over another costume last night that she needs by Saturday.  She needs to get a bigger size.  The Spandex is stretched to the limits.  One piece has to be tacked to another and another.  So, I'll be fixing that tonight.

I was reading Eggface's blog and she said if she wants something to eat between meals, she makes herself drink a bottle of water and wait 30 minutes.  I've been doing that.  Seems like the water usually takes away that hungry feeling.  Sometimes it's head hunger.

Good Morning Mimi and Mo...

I wish I could of seen you this last two trips but they were both last minute and very short... I am going to try and come spend the better part of a week with Amanda some time this Spring and will make sure I get down to see you.

Would love to have the "boot camp" if I'm not working. I don't have the girls graduating this year, the sil projects or so many trips planned this year. My Paul has so many projects planned for around here that I think we will be home more.  When do others say they could come?

I learned a lot last night working on repairing the quilt... it is going to look wonderful!  The stuffing is falling right out of it on the places where it just fell apart but the rest of the quilt looks in great condition... she had wonderful scraps to fix it. 

Have to make my Jo a set of curtains for her bedroom as well... need to move that to the priority list as she has nothing on her window...

It will be so nice to get the cabinets done and off my mind... I sure will like all the extra space... I know I have to much "stuff" but it is "stuff" I use. So does that mean it's ok?  I'm having a hard time convincing Paul of it ~ha

Am on the water again today heavy... just want to see some progress again.. I've been at this stage way too long now...I think my "window of opportunity" to speak has passed and now I have to work extra hard at getting the rest of the weight off.

It just amazes me when you dear ladies say you can only eat 2 oz of meat I can eat a large chicken breast and I think they say that amounts to about 4 to 6 oz. I have no trouble at all getting in all the calories I am allowed and have to watch it I only eat a cup at a time.  I like so many others have "head hunger" but you know in my "mind" head hunger is real! ~tee hee  I just get so weary of fighting the "not to" so much. Wish there was an easy solution to this dilemma I still find myself in.

Mimi ~ the dress... there is no amount of "shapewear" as my Penney's working daughter call it... that will fix how that dress looks until I take more weight off... that's why I need to be real diligent till I get to where I feel like I can wear it or I will have to go buy something and I don't want to do that for something I will probably only wear once... lavander is not my "bestest" color...~ha But at least this dress has an over lay jacket to cover my "unnatural curves" ~ha  I gotta quit...

Oh well I will get my mind off of it and get busy with my exercise today and the cabinets again.  Will give the Gazelle a turn today for a change.... Jo~ hope you like your new machine and it's one you will use more than you even thought!  My Gazelle is the only machine that I have been able to do that with... it is so easy on my joints and with the resistance hooked up it give me good workout.

Hi OH,

Really tired today, we finally went to the Y and I used a treadmill, didn't make it past 10 minutes but my legs felt the burn, I did one lap which amounted to .24 of a mile. my heart rate stayed at 126 which is good, it felt good and we are going again in the morning. DH is going to do the stationary cycle, they have one that has a computer screen that you can set to look like you are riding in a competition or on a regular bike trail.

Went to Springfield to try to get another job, could have done a run to St. Peters, but its about a 7 hour turn around and didn't have enough oxygen to keep me hooked up. Maybe next time.

I think I'm gonna close for now, look forward to the meeting tomorrow night. Hope everyone can make it, I am looking forward to meeting our new Leader.
