What's happening Tuesday - Feb. 9th!!

Jan must have gotten snowed in last night at work.  We got a little snow but not nearly what was forecasted and that's fine with me.  It is bitterly cold though. 

Susan, I want your recipe for weight loss.  I'm stuck and have been since July.  I really need to lose at least another 20 lbs.  My exercise DVDs arrived last week but I've not used them.  I have an air climber coming this week.  But, just having them in the house obviously isn't going to make me lose any weight.  Guess I need to use them.

Jeanie Rae, did you get your food log done yesterday?  I find writing down what I eat or going to eat keeps me honest.  I also record everything on the Daily Plate so I can see how much protein, carbs and calories I'm taking in.

Lou, if you're reading, know we miss you!!

Good afternoon OH,

Jo~I know that the roads where I live were Ice covered and not all of the secondary roads get salted early. We didn't get too much more snow only about 2 inches total, but Jan lives way south of where I live and they may have gotten more snow last night. Hope she makes it home okay.

It is so cold, we had to go into town and pick up some meds and a few groceries, we were gonna stop at the Y before going to the store but with the wind and all after we got in the car we decided to do what we had to and get home. The wind is really blowing to snow all over the roads. I think I'm gonna hunker down and stay inside till we get back in the 30's.

I've been using my health tracker in addition to my food log for Dr. E. I find it really helpful with the proteins and calories. I also find it helps keep honest, even if I eat something I shouldn't I write it down and when I total everything I can see where my problems are.

I finally broke down and got a kitchen scale so I can weigh my meat. Boy it is an awakening when you weigh something like a hamburger patty.

Jan brought something up at the last meeting, she went to Atkins.com and signed up for their free membership. they send you 3 nutrition bars and a carb counter booklet. There are a lot of low carb recipes and some of them sound really great. Got my stuff in the mail today. Tried one of the bars and it was really good.

Gonna post this, sure hope Jan is doing OK. Everyone stay warm and safe.

It's turned into global freezing.  Im with ya Susie, I cant wait for this mess to clear up and get warm again.
